And it gets even better, since that very pair of shoes was used in her final battle with Crystal. It came to full circle.
Haley vs. Crystal:
The Tale of the Lime Green Shoes
Edit:
PS: Imagine a prequel story that contains the manufacturing of those shoes...

The elves seen in Uncivil Servant? They probably made Elan's boots, too.

Re: Things You Never Noticed VI: The Undiscovered Detail
this
Penultimate panel: a black, squiggly line is sticking out of Miko's severed lower half. I don't think it's debris or parts of the throne either.
Is it like her spine or something? That's just gross.

It's a crack in the floor, likely made by the throne (you can see the throne remnants sticking out of it). There is another crack also created by throne fragments down and to the right of Miko's upper half. If it was bone, it'd be white, and significantly shorter.

Re: Things You Never Noticed VI: The Undiscovered Detail
^I guess my dump stat's the same as Elan's.
Also, [probably mentioned before - I didn't trawl through previous threads yet] but here the MitD doesn't have breath marks from the cold, yet Redcloak does. I assume Xykon doesn't because he's undead and Oona's is probably covered by her mask.
Idk if that's a clue or not.

Could be. Could just be that his breath is also hidden by the darkness.

You know, I just checked, and none of the Frost Giants seem to have their breath fog up either... Hmm. :smallconfused:

Which also doesn't really help either way, since they are after all frost giants.

...maybe MitD has the [cold] subtype? Or cold immunity? Resistance? :smalltongue:

Belkar was wrong in his prediction on how he would kill Vampire!Durkon.

Interestingly, he lost those after that strip.

Maybe he cast a spell to resist the cold?

I must wonder which kobold is sitting in the front row on Tarquin's side, since the Order is aware all three of the ones who joined the Linear Guild are deceased. (Maybe they just assume they have a Kobold of the Day?)

I think it's Yekyek.
I never noticed that Durkon's mother is grilling the cheese sandwiches mentioned in the previous strip here

You see her near the middle of the panel in #887:

Re: Things You Never Noticed VI: The Undiscovered Detail
Somehow I never registered Xykon had a nose-hole in his skull. despite him being the main antagonist. Utterly failed my spot check, I guess.
Cause, you know, those strange lumpy things.

Re: Things You Never Noticed VI: The Undiscovered Detail
I was just listening to the Viking Age podcast describe the story of Thor being "married" to Thrym, and I thought "Oh I wonder if that will be referenced in OOTS at all."
Then I thought again. It has been - sort of. In the way Thrym is so desperate to get married to a woman. Last time it was Thor in drag. This time it's a half-starved Hel.
On the other hand Thrym still being alive might be a broken detail.

I just noticed that the tower from 368 is nowhere near the way from the dwarven lands to Azure City. How did Miko end up there? Some problem with magical transportation?

What do you mean? That tower is seven days of travelling west of Blueriver Fort, so judging by the map in GDGU it should be next to the direct route between Azure City and the Northern Continent when travelling by land, like Miko.
Also I never noticed the scale on that map. ^^ Good stuff.
