Sadly, planning martial expeditions isn't a forte of his.
"Those?" Sebastian seems entirely oblivious, lifting an eyebrow curiously.

So, you banish spirits... What do you do for fun?
EDIT: Sylvia is derp.
I guess I'll have tea, too... It seems like a good choice.
Invidia smiles back.
Mainly reading, drawing, and playing the flute, but I do like spending time and doing things with others. There just really hasn't been anyone to spend time with, though.
Invidia replies, slight sadness in her voice when she says the last part

Re: Dancing Fox Inn X: Four Left Paws
Sylvia looks interested in what Invidia has to say about herself. Oh, you play an instrument too? That's awesome!
Then, the dark elf frowns. Huh? Where were you when there was no one to hang with?

Naku nods, thanks them both, and heads off to go make them both some tea. She'll be back shortly.

Naku nods, and brings her a Koka Nope-a. Because the DFI enjoyed not being sued!
"A fox cola and maybe help with something. Did you see someone who looks like a nin tailed kitsune?" Mika replies. She tries to be not so loud to prevent everyone from listening.

Well... I've been until recently a bit too busy due to an earlier job to really have time to socialize.
Invidia answers, her tone implying the job is something she doesn't wanna talk about.

An adventure. The rifleman's face runs through the whole gamut of expressions: disgust, anxiety, resignation, defiance, longing, fear, contempt, and many more that aren't as easily named. And then a moment of chagrin, as he realizes he let all that slip through his valued professionalism. He should probably give Sebastian an explanation. ... My parents were adventurers, you see. They went out all the time together, or by themselves, and before my siblings came along I spent much of my early life alone in an empty house. That is where this aversion of mine started, but, you really must admit, adventures are a messy, unpredictable, unpleasant conglomeration of chaos. In the interest of a more stable life, I ran away from home last year to pursue my dreams of middle management!

Someone like her, but with nine tails. At least now Leah knows what to look out for. With that scrap of information collected, she pays a bit less attention to Mika, instead going over to a quiet, interesting-looking person.

From the way Leah looks back and forth at Thariza's features, it's clear that she's trying to puzzle out what kind of creature they are.
The speaker is a human-appearing woman in a dark robe, with disheveled hair and a face accustomed to frowning.

Re: Dancing Fox Inn X: Four Left Paws
A drowess with grey skin, purple, pupilless eyes scanning the room, her slightly attractive figure clad in a navy blue skirt reaching her kneecaps, grey laced up boots, black tights, and a dark purple shirt, her short, platinum-blonde hair braided and running across her left shoulder and down her chest to the bottom of the ribcage, enters.
Curiously, a pair of wings (one black one white) extend from her back.
The girl, who appears to be 21, sits down at the bar, looking slightly tired.

"Welcome to the DFI," Naku says, as she's still waiting on the tea to steep, "can I get you anything? You look like you could use something."

"Not bad, I suppose," Thariza says. "The meat is surprisingly good here."

Re: Dancing Fox Inn X: Four Left Paws
"Oh." The Mage seems taken aback at that, and not quite sure what to say. It makes sense. Adventures are certainly a messy, bothersome business. All the same, purposefully avoiding them seemed almost... dreadfully boring. "Well, we shall endeavor to avoid any ancient runes, mysterious treasure or other calls to action."
But he can't keep himself from continuing, "Although.. If you're so against adventure, why the Hunting Grounds at all?"
-
Re: Dancing Fox Inn X: Four Left Paws
Leah shrugs. "I wouldn't know; can't stand the stuff myself, but I do hear we have a good cook here. Where are you usually eating it?"

The drowess shakes her head.
I'm good, thank you miss.
The voice may be familiar to Leah. It might remind her of a certain goddess, in fact.

"Usually I make something for myself at the HALO base," Thariza says. "But I'm not much of a cook. Unfortunately, it looks like I'm the only Charr here."

Because you want to go there. Brandon replies honestly. If I am to reach my goal, I need to find an organization or company that could benefit from my skills in logistics, analysis, and leadership. Although I am perfectly capable of working my way up from the bottom, it will be quicker to start at a slightly higher position. The best way to do that, in my judgment, is to obtain numerous favorable references. Thus, I should help as many people as I can. I do not want adventure, but I have zero compunctions with getting my hands dirty in the pursuit of my goals.
So... he's an adventurer who adventures to make friends that will help him get a cushy office job.
...Man, this character idea sounded a lot cooler in my head.
-
Re: Dancing Fox Inn X: Four Left Paws
"Ah. I suppose that does make sense." Although, it does raise the uncomfortable question of whether his own reference will be worth anything more than a grand waste of time. Sebastian decides not to bring that up. "Any organization you were giving especial consideration? I imagine Riverside must be rather turbulent at the moment."
-

"Is a Charr your species? Or like, a type of chef? I know, you said you're not much of a cook. Maybe something else..." Leah says, brightening up.
"You're from HALO? How do you feel about this merger thing? I was thinking, Aegis, you know, the protective organization, we're pretty loose and quiet, basically just individuals from a common point, but...there are a lot of such organizations. Anyway."
She decides to give Thariza a chance to answer.
-
Re: Dancing Fox Inn X: Four Left Paws
I must admit that I know precious little about any of the organizations in this place. Another advantage to helping many people is learning many perspectives on the local factions. He checks his wristwatch. But we can talk about that later, if you would prefer to get started.

[Previously, in a timeline where my player can read]
Leah steps out of the corner and over to the drow lady. "Excuse me, but I think I know you..." She's hopeful and reluctant. What if this isn't Lyrina? How embarrassing that would be!

The drowess turns to face her, raising an eyebrow, but her expression turns to realization after a couple seconds.
Hmm... sort of, yes. I'm Lyra, Aspect of Lyrina and sister, do to speak, of Ine. You're Leah, right?

"Your teas, ma'ams." Naku says, bringing over the teas and placing them in front of the two. The tea was, somewhat surprisingly, very high quality, and very well steeped. No tea-bags here!

Re: Dancing Fox Inn X: Four Left Paws
"Right. What does that mean, to be an aspect? How much of you is her, and the reverse?"
She takes a seat next to her not-quite-friend, going to pat her lightly on the wing, and thereby sense her feelings, and take away any problematic ones like confusion.

Well, it's not at all different than being a normal being, just without any parents, but being in a way the daughter of Lyrina. I'm basically a physical form of her control over twilight, and I have the same memories before my formation, but other than that I'm different, though my personality is similar. Kinda like being a clone, in a way.
Lyra replies. Her wings feel quite soft, dovelike, and feels curious, interested, thoughtful, and amicable.

Unfortunately, Sylvia is a happy idiot who is super interested in this sexy lady!
Oh? You must have been working hard at that job- what was it?

"Have you seen her domain recently? It's become an awful place...did something happen to your, ah, mother?"
Leah pets her wings. So soft.

I'd kinda prefer not to talk about it....
Indicia replies apologetically, thanking naku for the tea.

Yeah... she's stuck in a soul gem, I think. Haven't been home for a while.
Lyra replies, looking kinda sad about that.

Re: Dancing Fox Inn X: Four Left Paws
She shouldn't feel any sadness while Leah is stroking the feathers.
"You don't think there's anything we can do about it? It seems awful to leave her there. Anyway, do you think we could find a god of day or sunlight? Then we would kind of have all three, and could be like, a unit."

I dunno... the guy who has the soul gem may or may not have ascended to the rank of God of disease or something... not sure we'd be strong enough.
Hehe, we'd have to make me androgynous for that to balance us out, but sure, why not?
