I like the jokes and story, and Shiri's ADORABLE, I'm guessing the chain shirt runs in the family?(she's an adventurer, so she can clearly afford her own lute, duh!):smalltongue:
Did she inheret Banjo too? I imagine him being a worn rag of what he once was, we can call him "Broken Banjo":smalltongue:
to sum up: detailed hair, jokes with story, Haley&Elan's child - me want MOAR!
 I'm glad you like it. You think Shir's adorable? You haven't seen anything yet.
Sadly she didn't inherent Banjo. He remains with Elan, who sadly because of the rules, can't ever show up. ( These rules will be lampshaded at some point) Which characters hairs are you favorite? Just curious.

The Wights.
No, really - I want to see more of them!
Nah, I kiddin'!
I'm looking forward to seeing more
Well IMHO, I think it's kind of tied between Violet and...Areyil - was it? the mistress with the black hair and red ends in her hair and the braided ponytail,
after that Shiri.
I like extravagance and effort in my virtual hair.:smalltongue:
some of the guys a bit less liked, though, their hairstyles all look a bit unsettling, alex looks like the closest one to normal fantasy hair I'd guess...
No banjo?:smallfrown:
not even a ragged, worn, dusty/charred, miserable little broken-banjo-with-one-eye-missing? I'm pretty sure that could be fair use if it's a 1-time gag or something...

Yes she's currently going by Areyil. You'll learn her real name soon.
Sorry, no Banjo. I have something else planned, just wait. *grins evily*

Re: Next Generation:Order of the Pinecone
So, Do you plan to have a arc on Azure City Liberation? I was hoping Hinjo could be liberate Azure City, then subjugate some barbarian tribes in fringe areas (maybe paladins are exempt from conquering heathen tribes).

I can't though that would be cool... It's against the rules.
"Generally speaking, you are not permitted to make fan comics that tell the stories of any of the characters of The Order of the Stick or feature any of the places that exist in the comic, such as Azure City. These names and likenesses are trademarked by Giant in the Playground and cannot be used without specific permission."

Comic 10 is up, and longer too

Re: Next Generation:Order of the Pinecone
Updated.
Check out the site, It's all done except the cast page.

Re: Next Generation:Order of the Pinecone
I've noticed that the order of the speech bubbles (No, not an adventuring party called the Order of the Speech Bubbles) can be hard to follow at times. Lower speech bubbles coming before higher ones are confusing.
As for the site, it looks very nice! I look forward to the rest of the characters' profiles.

Sorry about that... My main goal is to have it read left-to-right, be legible, and to cover as little of the characters as possible, but I'll try take that into account in the future.
Thanks on the site. I worked hard on it.

Re: Next Generation:Order of the Pinecone
Updated. The groups meets Marissa- DON'T CALL HER THAT- And Alcina and Shiri seem to know her.
-
Re: Next Generation:Order of the Pinecone
Uh huh. So before Areyil, she called herself Mar-
ZAP!
Alright, Alright, I can take a hint...maris-
ZAP!ZAP!ZAP!...ZAP!
Also, like father like Half-Sylph-daughter, I guess?
Anyway, tough luck on the copyright; I like the idea of a site, easier to put on the reading list, if you ask me.

Marissa would totally do that if you tried to call her... well Marissa. Would you believe if I told you that in the next arc, she'll become a even better necromancer?
Yeah, she is a bit like her dad.i
There's a half-slyph son too. He'll show up soon.

better than 17th level? I look forward to it already:smallamused:

Yeah, she is a bit like her dad.
stuff in yellow text
Neat-O!
anyway, back to one-on-one, is Alcina looking for quick martyrdom, or did she drink from Nomka's offerings?:smalltongue:
discuss.

Yes. (I changed it to 18th level BTW)
More-so taking personal blame for Maris- Uh- Areyils evilness, so bringing it upon herself to take her down... though she unlike Alex, she has no ranks in spellcraft, and therefore didn't realize she's facing someone with 9th level spells.

Re: Next Generation:Order of the Pinecone
Sort of like Roy beating Sabine, but with the falling damage delivered immediately. :smallamused: I think I'm going to like Alcina.

 The real fight begins now. Lets see how Aeryil reacts to finding out Alcina isn't 'just a fighter' shall we?
(I'm working on the next comic now. Should be up Later today or tomorrow morning)

Re: Next Generation:Order of the Pinecone
Updated.
Had some fun with spell effects in those last few frames.
Stopped doing the text per character thing, hope noone minds.

Not just for using a bow, but for magnificently preparing an action to attack& initiate a concentration check on a well-timed 9th level spell, and disrupting
That's a roguish tactic right there, must've come from her mother's side.

 Sure it was a roguish tactic, but Shiri didn't really think of it that way.

Re: Next Generation:Order of the Pinecone
Now that's a creative idea. :smallwink: This is why Silent Sell... Siren Spell... Soylent Spill... You know, that feat that lets you cast spells without saying them? Anyway, it's useful.
-
Re: Next Generation:Order of the Pinecone
Nope.
nu-uh.
Right, so THAT works :|
Anyway, Finger of death, huh? That's a fortitude save, if Tristan worth more than his mouth he'll probably make that save. 19-36 damage is much easier if he gets free shots at a high level wizard.
-
Re: Next Generation:Order of the Pinecone
I don't mean to be a "Simon Cowell", but I have to be honest here.
The hair of the guys need to be clearer and have more of a variety. I mean, Alex is the only one who actually looks like a guy.
Although the plot feels a little bit rushed (or maybe that is just me), it is still pretty decent. Keep up the good work.
-
Re: Next Generation:Order of the Pinecone
As a side note, asdf, did you know the picture quality of the strips in your site is lesser to the ones in GiantITP?
I don't know why, I just noticed it...

Yeah, but Marissa, obviously, didn't take it.

Well, actually we, (as in not actually me but my D&D expert brother, I'm just learning this stuff) calculated the save, and it's a toughy to make, buuut, Tristan has plot armor. He'll be fine.

I don't mind criticism. Okay, the guys hair, Tristans actually will be changing in the future, soooo, yeah. Jermey?... Sorry, I genuinely like his hair the way it is. It stays.
Plot moving too fast? :smallamused: if this was a book, we'd still be in chapter 1.

Yeah, its because my original export size was too small. If you look, the more recent comics are better quality.

yeah, I'll mention the full username from here on. unless you got something short for it that's acceptable, or a nickname you prefer...
pardon me asking for this^, but spellchecker enough of a pain without usernames not found in the dictionary.
