Yes. Hulk's one line at Loki was the best line ever. Although Stark's line with regards to Hulk was just as awesome.
The one that shows up in the trailers?
(Oh I can't wait until the Americans see this so we can talk a bit less obliquely about Things)
I was actually really surprised about how much depth they gave to Bruce Banner/The Hulk in general, and he definitely got in some amazing scenes.
Like that one with Thor and the Hulk in . . . Grand Central Station(?), because that had our whole audience laughing. Or just how exactly the Hulk launched himself into action in Manhattan.
Or "Target is angry." BOOM.
Oh screwballs. I can't wait another three days. To dubious sources!

Well it is Joss. And didn't I rail at Law Friend because she simply assumed that I'd been stalking this film's production details the way she did. Seriously, how did I miss that it was Joss whedon writing this script until only a couple days beforehand?

Well, it was Joss Whedon. He is the Master of Snark.
Probably there were a few too many one-liners and all, but this is a comic book adaptation, so it kind of fits. And I can't really imagine anything Whedon writes that doesn't have all the main characters snarking and joking around.

Also: Thanks Teddy.
Quite a few people had that reaction to that information.:smallwink: I generally make it a rule to avoid Marvel movies.(Captain America is American, I had to.) But Thor seems hot and Avenger's seems... funny, at least. And there's Cap. That'll help.:smallcool:

Also, that Thor pic justifies any price of admission. I like.

That's okay my darling.
I've been looking at pics of topless Thor/topless [Thor's actor] for a while when I'm 'working' very hard on my Epic Poetry Thing (that will inevitably kill said thread) and revision.

If you want a real challange, try getting art done :smallamused:
I'm fully aware that you're totally busy with school and thus I would like to note I mean absolutely no offensive at this.

Doing art is easy considering the modern standards, simply throw paint into a canvas randomly and call it a Warhol. Now conveying something concrete through art, like Renaissance artists did, now that is a feat.

I sorta meant that in relation to our comic and getting that done, mind. Not just art in general :smallamused:

So, interesting fact: While my status saying I need to see Avengers has not thus far yielded any friends volunteering to go with me, apparently a guy I know from NUGSS used to be Loki's accountant.

Given the internet circles that you move in, I really don't know. I t was rumoured for months before it was officially announced at Comiccon, what? Last year? Two years ago?
*Youtube search*
Two years ago. That you managed not to be exposed to that piece of information for so long is pretty ridiculous.

Deets are questionably forum-appropriate, given that they involve trespassing on the lands of an abandoned factory owned by the city...

On Thursday, I have a calculus test for a concept i was introduced to monday. If you have had any calculus at all, you know how f***ed i am. On friday I have a make-up exam for a previous calculus test i scored a 35 on, whose concepts i haven't even really begun to review. I need to pass BOTH of these tests to pass the class. With a C. If i'm lucky.
I also have four chapters worth of work to do for an online class I'm probably not going to pass anyway, and a test on the same material due in three days. And between school and work, I have little to no time for either.
If that wasn't bad enough, I am STILL being hit with depression at complete random for weeks at a time over things as trivial as arguments with my father or where the dog diarreahs. I have hated songs about smiling over this.
I hate this stupid world and everything about it.

Well, we have a secret hang-out in an abandoned factory. All the usual entrances were recently re-welded shut. So my friends discovered a new secret entrance that involves crawling along a hidden tunnel with a hidden entrance to crawl through an otherwise-invisible window, underground, into the basement.
And we're the only people who know exactly how to get there.
So we basically have a secret lair.

My sympathies. My only advice is that if you believe something is already hopeless, then leave it alone and focus in what you can salvage.

You must now re-enact all of Code Lyoko. It's what the people want.

Re: Elemental's Excitingly Excellent Random Banter: No.CLXXVII
I've been practicing the bass lately, and I've found it's extremely fun, and requires a lot of practice. The four-string style, and long guitar neck make for an experience that is both easier and harder than playing a guitar. However, I've found it easy nonetheless.
My favorite riff is the famous chorus to For Whom the Bell Tolls. Not too hard to learn, but very satisfying to play nonetheless.

I don't think I've ever actually watched another French cartoon (let alone another one that was basically Nouvelle Anime), but it was certainly something.

Everything satisfying feels not too hard, and when one has learned something it seems easy.

French Cartoons are best cartoons.
Wakfu, awwww yea.

I can't actually post a picture of dem hips, because they are that dem I might get banned.
EDIT: Also, I've found that while I largely can't stand pre-enlightenment art (not including Swedish metalwork), I do enjoy pretty much everything from 1720 to 1790.
EDITEDIT: Has anyone seem that anime about the French Signmaker who brings home the little Japanese girl?
-
Re: Elemental's Excitingly Excellent Random Banter: No.CLXXVII
Wasn't wakfu a perfectly SFW anime style series based on a MMORPG?
Also, I can't stand anything that labels itself post-modernism, or refuses all labels (which is almost the same as being post-modernist), or "primitive" art.

It's almost entirely played on the E-string, though a small interlude is played on the A-string, and the distorted, wah-wah pedal'd solo is played on the G-string (no relation). It's catchy, very specifically written, and so much fun to play.
To avoid further confusion, a bass' strings are tuned to G, D, A, and E, from high to low. They're equivalent to the lowest four strings on any other six-string guitar, though there are six-string basses that replicate a guitar at a much lower pitch, and seven-string basses that go a string deeper.
Again, there is no relation to the string that I awkwardly refer to as how I referred to it as. I will not repeat it.
