Eight plus Remus, Sandstorm, and Fir would get a bit crowded. :smalltongue: Also, Janine.

I'm a bit hung up on the pants the dwarf is wearing.
Niccolo's wearing some funky blue robes with a red scarf and greyish shorts underneath.
Oh, and in case anybody was wondering, Isarus and Don are the elven and dwarven gods of knowledge (Also magic and travel.)
And yes, the dwarves in this continent have Italian names. :smalltongue:

Does that include accents? Because that would be hilarious.I decided earlier on that the Dwarves in Combo-Platter are going to be Jamaican.

I still think that him joining in the near future isn't out of the question, as it would be an interesting catalyst to the confronting and overcoming.

.... didn't think about that, yes it is possible

Hey, false hope's enough for me. XD

I'm no good with typing in accents, so just imagine it. :smalltongue:
Also, the dwarves on the Eastern continent (Don't know the name yet) have Hispanic names.

They don't necessarily have to join to meet.
Oh man, I would love to do a Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead type thing, even if it were short. Probably a side thing once we learn more about Hector and Roark. (And add THAT to the prequel and sequel I've been unconsciously planning!)
-
Re: Murphy's Law (Thread The Third!)
Hm. Yay for NPC interaction! XD
Hah! Hector and Roark are Rozencrantz and Gildenstern? AWESOME!! We watched that movie last semester in Brit Lit. Loved the characters, HATED THE ENDING. I felt like I'd wasted three hours of my life. :smallmad:

Re: Murphy's Law (Thread The Third!)
Ah, It's always nice to get up early an find a new update waiting! ^^
Ooo! Foreshadowing! The party is obviously going to get caught in these troubles, are they not? But since Lloyd has openly stated that they're looking for a quest, they really can't complain.:smallwink:
EDIT:Oh, and you should consider changing Serrin's last line a little, it's very easy to confuse who she is talking about. But, a good update otherwise, it's nice to see (for a change) that elves there are not too prejudiced.
-
Re: Murphy's Law (Thread The Third!)
I just realized that Fir is on Serrin's head. I now want a cat to ride on my head, just to see what it feels like.

Picture claws. Sharp claws.

Re: Murphy's Law (Thread The Third!)
Let me ask: Are the halfing and the orc going to be (in fact, they might alreadybe?) some kind of reccuring joke/characters, things?
-
Re: Murphy's Law (Thread The Third!)
Exposition is a bit dull, but it must be done. And I liked the halfling and the orc. Where's Janine and Radic, BTW? Are they indulging in a little fan service?
-
Re: Murphy's Law (Thread The Third!)
You can see Radic with them in the first panel.
Janine is probably sleeping around with those elves she met in the previous comic.

Then the 'camera' is obviously pointed at the wrong party!

It's also a bit of extra weight that throws off your center of gravity, so you can't really run. But since Fir is Serrin's familiar, they don't really have that problem.
And yeah, Hector and Roark are going to be recurring characters and Janine's with the two elves.

Maybe you should give them the title Those Two Guys on the TvTropes page.

It doesn't seem to fit. Granted, they may start showing up less, but it doesn't seem that way.

Technically, though, they're not involved in the plot. They're just there. They got a spot early on, and they keep showing up and contribute nothing of value to anything.

MURDERER! IT SHALL BE AVEN-Ohright, evil.
I expect there's a trope fitting the amazing Hector and Roark. But I dunno what it is.
...they need smilies!

Yes they do, but the orc (don't know his name) would just have an orc face for his smiley.

Re: Murphy's Law (Thread The Third!)
Since it's technically past midnight, this is Friday's update. :smalltongue:
Note: I like to listen to music when making these. Perhaps listen to this while reading? :smalltongue:
Also, I can't make emblems for crap.
#43: Meanwhile, Thousands Of Miles Away
You get what you asked for. No, I am not going to elaborate further. Let me see what you've got to think as the thread explodes in wild speculation. :smallamused:

Is this guy Lord Byron, the cleric in battle with janine you used in your Iron Avatarist entry?
also... you are an evil person.....
I aprove!

Re: Murphy's Law (Thread The Third!)
What a twist! [/Shamilan]
This should be interesting... Wonder where this'll lead? :smallconfused:
-
Re: Murphy's Law (Thread The Third!)
...Wait, the general's name is Murphy? So, this comic isn't named after the tendency for bad luck to strike whenever possible?
-
Re: Murphy's Law (Thread The Third!)
-
Re: Murphy's Law (Thread The Third!)
the name of the guy who appears to be somewhat in charge is named Murphy... he has the potentul to make the laws... the title just took on a whole new meaning XD
-
Re: Murphy's Law (Thread The Third!)
Already said, but: The title has a double meaning, I like that.:smallamused:
So this scene is from Kago?
Hmm...her armour reminds me of Lloyd's, hmm...does that mean that he was a paladin of Kago at some point?
Cool flag...Hey, that big thing on the background is Astrid's symbol, right?
Gotta say, awesome update! Things are getting interesting it would seem.
And that background music was a great idea, it helped creating the athmosphere!
-
Re: Murphy's Law (Thread The Third!)
...Now *that's* impressive background images.
Huh. Is it just me, or do they look a little like Matt?
I also approve of the double-meaning-title. XSD
