Re: [Twi]Chronicles of the Impaler: Crisis of Infinite Draculas OOC
Would never claim it wasn't fun. Simply that if every world we create is a Dystopia, then we have to work really hard to make the dystopia's seem interesting.

Re: [Twi]Chronicles of the Impaler: Crisis of Infinite Draculas OOC
Please. Shatterworld has been hugs and puppies compared to what my game is going to have it entail.
-
Re: [Twi]Chronicles of the Impaler: Crisis of Infinite Draculas OOC
Actually, Shatterworld was so crazy that in Miami there is a plaque dedicated to Tony Montana for halting a zombie apocalypse, though it cost him his life.
Sin City was later cleaned up by Mayor Haggar, and so on. The entire place basically runs in a manner that is impossible to make any sense of. There is no attempt to keep history anymore except for Elijah, because nobody can make sense of what the hell is going on most of the time. It's a place that runs on comic book laws all the time.

Re: [Twi]Chronicles of the Impaler: Crisis of Infinite Draculas OOC
I am just running with the fact that Alucard and King are going to hate each other in the end here. I wouldn't be surprised if Alucard kills him before the hunters do.
-
Re: [Twi]Chronicles of the Impaler: Crisis of Infinite Draculas OOC
Don't take it personally. He hates pretty much everyone, most of all himself. He hates looking around and seeing his reflection looking back at him, and so he intends to take it out on you all.
-
Re: [Twi]Chronicles of the Impaler: Crisis of Infinite Draculas OOC
If it helps, out of the two of them, The King is more likely to get the other Dracula's to help him. Alucard seems likely to try and kill them all for the hell of it. :smalltongue:
-
Re: [Twi]Chronicles of the Impaler: Crisis of Infinite Draculas OOC
Right now he tolerates Castlevania!Dracula because it's convenient but he will not allow him to destroy the world if it comes to that. He likes the Earth as it is, full of humans for him to feed upon as he desires.
He's more confused about Lancer!Dracula and the Count than anything else. He understands variations in vampires across different worlds, hell Kamen Rider canon has multiple brands of vampire on it's own but a human Dracula and a muppet just catch him off guard.
Alucard though is the opposite of the King. The King wants to live forever and continue to control as much of the world as he can from the shadows, even to the point of sacrificing his own subjects to be reborn or allowing the last members of rival demon species to live if they would kill the only threat to his existence. Alucard does everything out of a death wish.

God, The Count von Count is so out of place here, it's hysterical.

Re: [Twi]Chronicles of the Impaler: Crisis of Infinite Draculas OOC
How. Lots of Discussion in the space wherein I finished my Egyptian Homework.
Lets see if those Wallachians are still alive...

Well he is a vampire designed to teach toddlers how to count, while awesome he is quite different from the rest of his kin. Unless you count his debut as a one off character in the muppet show as canon then he's not nearly as out of it.

Re: [Twi]Chronicles of the Impaler: Crisis of Infinite Draculas OOC
I love Count. He's also probably the strongest character here.
-
Re: [Twi]Chronicles of the Impaler: Crisis of Infinite Draculas OOC
He's got minor hypnosis, control over lightning and thunder once he starts counting, and can't die due to being a puppet on a kids show. :smalltongue:

Re: [Twi]Chronicles of the Impaler: Crisis of Infinite Draculas OOC
Don't forget a mastery of mathematics. Truly, no one here can match that skill. :smallwink:

Re: [Twi]Chronicles of the Impaler: Crisis of Infinite Draculas OOC
True. Never underestimate the power of math, eh?
-
Re: [Twi]Chronicles of the Impaler: Crisis of Infinite Draculas OOC
Alucard did, and look what happened to him.
He hasn't learned. :smallwink:

Re: [Twi]Chronicles of the Impaler: Crisis of Infinite Draculas OOC
Check this out, I'm the only Vlad at peace with himself!

Re: [Twi]Chronicles of the Impaler: Crisis of Infinite Draculas OOC
I know! Isn't it cool?
Enjoy some bombs, everyone!

Page two, and there are already explosions.

After this battle, I realize that I should provide just enough of an dramatic interlude on the journey to Chapelvania for all the Draculas to realize just how much they hate each other.
And then I shall feed upon the torrent of blessed anger and become strong.:smallamused:
...Anyways. For those of you who are wondering where the Vampire Hunters are, I assure you that you'll be hearing the 'shink' of Katanas sliding from their sheathes soon enough.
Of course, D Dracula has already run into one already. And it's someone he's met before...

Given I'm at least 80% sure that Q is behind this, somehow, since Thanos and Deathare enjoying Ponyville and while he's more advanced then Thanos he's definitely not more advanced then Death. So it might not be so unlikely after all.
-
Re: [Twi]Chronicles of the Impaler: Crisis of Infinite Draculas OOC
Yes. Draxx. You're completely right. Q decided to throw a bunch of Draculas together along with three notable armies that had invaded the Transylvanian region in the past in order to be entertained. You have figured out my secret plot twist.
-
Re: [Twi]Chronicles of the Impaler: Crisis of Infinite Draculas OOC
Well think of a new one then.
Michael 'The Crow' Corvinus was a Highlander style immortal in the Underworld series who killed Vampires. Given we're all overpowered the ordinary guy probably wouldn't do it, so would I be right in assuming that he has Methos and The Kurgan as allies?
-
Re: [Twi]Chronicles of the Impaler: Crisis of Infinite Draculas OOC
I'm not playing in this but two things you may find interesting. About Count Von Count.
Counts of Blood and The Muppet Contracts Both stories of how awesome and terrible the Count Von Count can be.
-
Re: [Twi]Chronicles of the Impaler: Crisis of Infinite Draculas OOC
Matthias Corvinus, also known as Matthias the Just. He was King of Hungary at the same time as Vlad III first ascended to the Throne of Wallachia, and also a member of the Order of the Dragon, the organization founded to defend the Land of Christendom from the encroaching Ottomans.
Around the time of our Lord Dracula's war against the Ottomans, the Roman Catholic Church provided Corvinus with Papal Gold straight from the Vaults of the Vatican. And he...did not wind up using it to fight the Turks. No disguise his true use of the Papal Funds, he framed Vlad with fake evidence showing that he had been 'negotiating' a truce with the Turks, and had him imprisoned.
So there'd be Bad Blood between them. Though when Corvinus decided to fight the Turks in earnest, they did become grudging allies once more: Vlad even married his cousin.
Duke Miercia is conflating the armies of a Steampunk continuity version of the World War I Austria-Hungarian Empire with the old Hungary that Wallachia bordered.
...See? Freeform Dracula Cheesy Action Roleplaying can be Educational!

Re: [Twi]Chronicles of the Impaler: Crisis of Infinite Draculas OOC
Indeed, though some records refer to him as Mathew. A lot of contradiction during that time, which is why we don't even know the name of Vlad's first wife. Mattias was called the much less flattering name 'The Crow' during his life, actually, and as you've noted there was bad blood between them, though ultimately they came on more or less the same side, given they both hated the Turks. Indeed, Vlad was his vassal a few times.
But the point is, Jan Jiskra and his army aren't really a serious confrontation for the Dracula's, and fighting random machines and slogging through thousands of soldiers isn't all that interesting, so I was suggesting a way of powering him up as well.
Anyway, are we going to be given an appearance by Mehmet Celebi, Fatih, the conqueror?
-
Re: [Twi]Chronicles of the Impaler: Crisis of Infinite Draculas OOC
Yes. The Turks as an Army, even the Jannisaries, are nowhere near a match for the stable of Draculas we've got.
The Masked Cleric Archer, though, is A Hunter. And though I've embellished a few details, he is an actual outside character, with a connection to Vlad the III.
And on the Sixth Zeppelin, a man awaits. A Hero, a Scientific Genius, a Scourge of Evil, and a Champion of Justice. And a Man with a very mean scissor lock technique.

Re: [Twi]Chronicles of the Impaler: Crisis of Infinite Draculas OOC
I just said I'm not going.
-
Re: [Twi]Chronicles of the Impaler: Crisis of Infinite Draculas OOC
Pardon for implying otherwise.
Edit: I missed the bit about 'I cannot go, my friend'. Sorry 'bout that.
And let me say, once again: It's wonderful to have a non vampiric Vlad the Impaler that can really act as a 'Father to his Country'. I mean, yeah, still a sadistic butcher, but a butcher who is fighting for something Hopeful. Brilliant, Molto Benne!
