At the firebird's command, the bats sacked the city. A rain of fire devastated the beautiful gleaming spires of Twilight.
Spoiler(OOC: The bird came with dozens of fire bats. You may have missed that post.)
"Who said I was talking about this city?"
Meanwhile, many Ensi-bodies travelling the world were attacked by monstrous, deformed bats.
"This is only the beginning."
The firebird destroyed the illusion with ease.
Cyrus
Cyrus frowns. "Yes, you have transformed some of my followers. But others have simply gone missing. Where are they?"
[umm, there aren't many ensi-bodies, most of the Enlightened outside my domain are former bandits, converts, or animals. ]
the few ensi-bodies the bats find are more than capable at defending themselves, since first of all, they can force a creature to join the Enlightened.... ambushes don't work that well....
a new illusion pops int existence you don't see the point of it being an illusion, do you?
The minds of the bats are slippery, hard to influence. Most of them simply fly away, though.
Baldier was not worried the cities of Auir, and shakuras were well veiled, and well within his zone of infulence where he was most powerful, so even if the bats came to the frozen north a land so far away from where his avatar had been they would never even know what was attacking them if the PRotoss retailiated.
((Ie. the viels are why I used a major act to establish Auir.))
Mavil
In the confusion of fire, Mavil had rescued and return Azum home where he was being inspected. It was time for him to think about fighting K'Salaii or everyone else. He believed it was his right to overthrow K'Salaii no matter what. He called the gods to meet him just north of his domain.
Balider being very close appaered before the God still bleeding badly from a soruceless head wound...
"Entoro Mavil."
The spawn of K'Salaii (the bats) started many wildfires around the world, in the hills of the central plateau (around 7,6 , 8,6 , 9,6).
Mavil
I see that our avatar is more linked to us than one would of thought. Either way, K'Salaii must be stopped. Im not proud to admit it, but he is showing me up. Others may have different thoughts on why he must be stopped, but let me make this clear this doesn't stop me in the future, just for now. K'Salaii is more troublesome than a war I could start with anyone.
Baldier seemed to be ignoring the head wound he recieved though.... rather odd cosndering how badly he was bleeding.
"This being must be stopped I sent an avatar to test his power before i decided if i sould put out resources to fight him. I see now that we will ahve to drag him into oe of our areas of power, perhaps we should amke a place in which we would all be functoning at our maximum power a mutual power zone if you amy."
Of the hundred or so ensi-bodies outside Cellis's domain, 5 are next to the cyst, 50 are scattered around the other cities, as ambassadors and traders, 30 are in convoys or small settlements, 15 had made camp, and 15 were traveling.
the ones next to the Cyst easily defeated the bats, the grafts they were loading easily used, with acid and bone spines sending the bats to oblivion. In addition, the countryside had been subsumed almost completely, swarms of small birds and insects flanked the bats, and nay to close to the ground were taught their folly by animals.
The ones in the other cities didn't really have to deal with them, as the cities army and mages easily shot them down before they even started attacking.
The ones in convoys or towns defended themselves quite well, the bonecraft armor every ensi-body wore, in addition to the other bodies nearby and the metal-hard fungus grown on the bonecraft all defeated the bats.
The ones who made camp were aided by the fact they subsume the nearby wildlife as a matter of course, squirrels kamikazed the bats, fish made large waves and splashes to dampen those near the water and so on. They and those on the rode also had to use bio magic, the area's the bats occupied were made into vacuum momentarily, destroying them, lances of energy and water destroyed them, and so on. the toll was taken on the fungus grown in the valley.
A number of insects quickly formed a body for Cellis near the Elemental My followers are not lambs, you chose the strongest to cull, and your constructs burst, you've declared war on everyone, and your servants didn't kill a single one.
another constuct was formed the same way on an island, Ossua', I wish to discuss an arrangement with you.
THe bats were destroyed by bio magic before they could start fires in the Valley.
what, I though I made it clear that it's basically full of defenses and effeminacy
I think you misunderstood. My mission was to kill but declare war. Even so I did get a couple at that temple and a wyveryn knight as well as some librarians, not to flatter myself. However, this is not about my war. This is about K'Salaii's. Or would you rather fight two fire gods of destruction at once?
I was talking to K'Salaii
Cellis send out a message to all gods Quite simply ,This elemental is one of the five, the "Calamity" is another, his chief rival, let us hope they are the only two on this world. I propose a temporary full alliance between all gods to destroy or banish this creature before he destroys or damages on e of us. We do not want to become a warning for the next batch the Beast brings in.
To Cellis
Ossua emerged from the sea in all his glory.
"Speak"
K'Salaii left the Twilight City and traveled the continent, destroying what he could on the way. All those pathetic mortals...all so clueless about their fate.
You told me you are K'Salaii's rival and enemy, correct? Well, he has decided to cleanse the world and kill all of us who don't bow to him. Since you haven't I've decided to see if it was possible to come to an arrangement in which you help us defeat K'Salaii, and we do a service to be determined for you at a later date.
Gargax
Gargax's smiled widened again, and he whispered into Azum's ear, so only he could hear him. Perhaps, but in the meantime I shall draw alliances, and when my plans come to fruition I shall be the greater for each of them, all you have done is create enemies, while my actions may one day create enemies for me, this will not be the goal as it was for you. Standing up, he spoke clearly this time, Now, I think we should continue this conversation... elsewhere, And with that he freed the Ashenborn, but as he began to leave he lifted his chalice, and the great creature was sucked into the cup, screaming. When finally his protests fell silent, the cup seemed filled with liquid fire. The Ashenborn was still alive, but he was trapped as surely as an animal in a cage, a cage made by the iron bands of a gods will. The avatar of Gargax disappeared back to his true form and disappeared into it, leaving Gargax holding a Chalice filled with the burning essence of the Ashenborn Azum. Gargax smiled a cruel smile before sending another Avatar to the meeting with Mavil, however this one carried no Chalice.

Ocogoiks had no answer for Cyrus. He was sure implicating himself and his fellow Nobles would have been foolish in any circumstance, but now it would be suicide, and so he spoke once again, earning well the title of Silver-Tongued. I could not tell you where the souls of your followers have gone. I did not take them, and any such loss would be a blow to me as well, I am trying to bring your peoples the magnificence of the Silver City, why would take their souls? None of those faithful enough to me to go to my City have died yet, I am at as much of a loss as you.
To Cellis
"I do not fear him. But I don't care for your worshippers either. What do you have to offer me? More souls?
Tell me why I should trust your kind."
((I'm sorry, I call foul. Had I been available and not at work, I would have posted before this.))
Before the Ashenborn could take a step past the gate after insolently refusing to answer Veritia, he found that even his flaming limbs were rendered immobile by the direct intervention of a God. Civilians literally vanished from where they stood, transported by divine grace away from the plaza, and the air grew suddenly, supernaturally still. The water in nearby fountains crystallized with a sharp snapping sound as the molecules realigned to perfect matracies, and a hush fell over the plaza.
Then, in a blaze that defied description, Alrinach appereared in his natural form, levitating off the ground, and a whirlwind of divine wrath sprung up, twisting the very threads of reality that held the city together. Speaking in an unusually loud and firm voice that pierced stone, flesh, and soul, Alrinach looked at the pitiful creature before him.
"Foolish creature, this is MY realm. My city. And you cannot defy MY Laws. Your insolence is unaceptable, and the thought, the mere NOTION, that you could walk uncontested into my home is an affront the the intelligence of the creatures of this Plane. Your cretor may have granted you immortaility against the mechanations of mortalkind, but to then walk into my realm unbidden is the more so foolish that none performed on this plane could yet equal it. Be unmade, like the pitiful gutter flame you are. And may your creator rue the day he dared such an affront."
With a flash of light, the Ashenborn ceased to exist, and Alrinach held aloft a ruby, within which flickered the soul of the foolsih creature.
Spoiler
Alrinach subsumed the city into his divine realm with his last Major Action, remember? So I don't appreciate your, well, godmoding when there's literally a Greater Diety who would stop you in a heartbeat. He's killing the Ashenborn and, since he's entitled by the Compact to all souls that die in violence, binding its soul to a ruby in his posession. Good luck getting that back...
SpoilerOOC: Don't worry FF fanboy, your cities are well hidden, even to him.
[B]Cellis[/B
Cellis decided to give his creation a sure way to defend itself. HE gave the Enlightened an...avatar, a form that was the Enlightened's', an incorporeal spirit-god. As the Enlightened was the sum total of the creatures intelligence and life force, so was this the sum total of their will, mental force, and strength, It could strike with the force of 100 ogres, and swim 100 time faster than a fish. It could subsume everything withing 5 meters instantly, and could anything with biomagic, it encouraged growth all around it. Meanwhile, the ants and enlightened defended themselves as much as possible, the ants consolidated and fortified their hives, and enlightened territory was devoid of spare space for defense and war beasts being kept. bodies out side the territory wither founded fortresses with all the wildlife nearby subsumed, or went to major cities, with their own defenses.
Spoiler
one major act to give Enlightened avatar, two minor one to help ants and enlightened fortify
Mavil
I am glad you came Gargax. For you are some I believe to be quite devious. We were discussing creating an equal zone where we all share our abilities of greater gods. But before that I have reason to believe you came across Azum, my follower.
