 Thats blasphemous and awesome at the same time. Im sure we can pull up another dozen or so strip slays using that.

That is pretty awesome word swapping.
Yes, it was a page in Goblins. It was also a sad moment, but then YMMV.
Ah, I see. That is so true.
Then there's that incoming prophecy, what with friend turning against friend and all... *sniff*
About the prophecy:
Spoiler: Wherein I try to explain it as already fulfilledWhen the serpent becomes your prey, friends will become enemies and love will fuel hate.
Here I see your as referring to both Forgath and Minmax. Theoretically, it could even be an impersonal "you", thus referring to anyone.
When Minmax grabbed Kin's leash, he made her his prey.
Friends became enemies: MinMax became Kin's enemy; although I actually see the enemies as Ruby and our Kin, given how much ill Ruby did to her. But how the oblivion holes work makes this rather difficult to explain.
Love will fuel hate: Kin began hating MinMax because he grabbed the leash, which he did as an irresponsible reaction to his love for her.
I suppose someone else already had this idea, and I also suppose there are good reasons not to follow it. I mean, Dies Horribly had a literally horrible death, and there is a problem of consecutio temporum - the serpent should become the prey before the friends become enemies. Another good question is whether Kin actually hates MinMax.
Or it could be Kin's love for Minmax fuelling Ruby's hate. In this sense, the preyed serpent was Ruby or Sapphire or Ebony or any other Kin. Ruby, supposedly her friend, then became Kin's enemy.
Was there any word from Thunt?

You forgot the fact that it's directed at Forgath, or it having something to do with meeting the goblins. As it happens, MinMax is presently with the goblins. That can't end well.
Now, with the wall... if he sees Kin and it turns out you need to destroy the wall to proceed...
new page is up
SpoilerNice to see Kin. And this may improve the unity of the group...
Funny how Thaco mimics Minmax. But what's the trouble telling to your son that you were in love with his mother? :smallconfused:
I don't see anything bad coming right now.
Spoiler
Could be a fairly rare thing in goblin society, arranged marriages, breeding solely to keep the population up, marrying to join families and strengthen bonds or make up for past sins, potential to make smarter/stronger children then the previous generation thanks to a basic understanding of genetics, plenty of reasons to marry/have kids with someone you don't love. maybe it's uncommon for goblins, or just embarrassing.
my best guess is that maybe the piller only shows mutual love, so it only shows Kin and complains-of-mom because they both also loved their respective partners.
Hey gang!
I used to follow Goblins a long while ago. I can't quite remember when I started reading it, but I know I was reading before Kore encountered the goblins and killed Chief. I think I came in around the time of the Battle of Brassmoon. The last of it that I can remember is when the main group had re-encountered Forgath and Min-Max while fleeing Kore, with Min-Max helping the goblins escape while Forgath bought them time. However, while I had waited through Thunt's...unfortunate period...between the delay and a few other factors I lost interest and basically forgot about it.
Basically, I'm curious: would it be worth going back to at this point?
Do you care about the characters enough to continue following their adventures? Are you wondering what monstrosity if a dungeon crawl THunt can cook up as a DM next? Are you interested in the plot?
If the answer to any of these is "yes," then continue. Otherwise, don't.
My first thought on this was "goblin culture is weird."
I mean, even in arranged marriages there is nothing wrong with the married couple falling in love with each other. Really married couples are more likely to hide the fact that they don't love each other than the fact that they do.
Same goes for unwed parents of the same kid.
Has complains ever even specifically stated he knows Thaco is his dad? I know it's very obvious and all, but Complains is super dumb.
he knows. the whole reason he has that little fur band on his arm is because he took it from a sword that had "tue dae fadda" on it from a barbarian clan all about honoring their fathers.
it was never a secret from him.
Thaco's response seems a little extreme, but not all that odd to me. There could be a variety of reasons.
A couple of generations ago, many people, particularly men, were brought up to not talk about emotions. (Some still are.) Or Thaco may not want to be reminded of how much he misses her. Or Thaco may have doubts -- He may blame himself for her death and think that if he had loved her more he would have kept her safe (such thoughts would actually be proof that he loved her a lot, but he might not think of that). Or Thaco may have some guilt for some other reason.
There may be all sorts of cultural differences. The fact that Names has to ASK if his dad loved his mom means such a thing isnt common. Thats just not the sort of thing humans tend to ask their parents because the assumed answer is of course, yes. For all we know, there are no marriages or anything like that, just genetic matchups to spread the species. "Ok, this male goblin is a strong warrior, this female has good child bearing hips, you two mate and produce some young." That sort of thing. That they fell in love is generally considered strange, maybe even improper for some reason.
