Re: Australasia in the Playground V
Plenty of screen grabs out there in twitterworld.
Austria. Australia. It's easy to get confused.

Re: Australasia in the Playground V
Ahhh... we figured there must have been something wrong in the description that had been corrected.
And we were too lazy to go searching for screenshots (and neither of us have twitter).

I heard that on The Project
Anyone else went to see The Mousetrap? It's touring Melb next, and I recommend any mystery or Christie fans to see it.
I guessed the killer correctly!

Re: Australasia in the Playground V
What with all the poisonous spiders, snakes, platypii and heaven knows what else, don't you think you Australian types have enough hazard in your lives without doing stuff like this? oO:

Australia: when the sharks aren't eating us, we eat them.

Re: Australasia in the Playground V
Sharks? Who needs to worry about sharks?
It's not like they can come up onto land or anything and get us while we make fun of them.

Re: Australasia in the Playground V
So I just saw David Attenborough in the flesh and he's exactly the same as he is in his documentaries plus very, very humorous. I cannot believe that I've seen the person in the flesh I watched as a five year old talking about life...I am a very glad person atm :)

Re: Australasia in the Playground V
I swear my country is trying to blow itself up... earthquakes left, right and centre, and now Mt Tongariro friggin' blew itself up! First time in over 100 years... :smalleek:

Maybe it doesn't like you. :smalltongue:
I just gave blood a few hours ago, still a little light headed. But I'm O+, it's nice to be in demand.

The country or the mountain? or both...
Welcome to the Ring of Fire :smalltongue:
(honestly, right now, I'm just glad I don't live there any more. I was at home Christmas last year when there was a collection of 4 quakes over 4.0 in one day and quite frankly, that was more than enough.)

Re: Australasia in the Playground V
It is much more convenient living on a mostly geologically stable continent.
So few disruptions.
And on the matter of blood donation:
I have O-, the fancy minimalist kind.
-
Re: Australasia in the Playground V
I hope you donate every three months.
I should too, actually. This is my first time in two years.
It is FUN to see it swishing about in the bag.

Re: Australasia in the Playground V
It's fun walking out of those places with a pair of fake fangs, sipping a tomato juice.
-
Re: Australasia in the Playground V
Wear all black while you're at it and lick your lips.
-
Re: Australasia in the Playground V
Unfortunately, I don't know if I'm allowed to donate blood because of my medication.
And yet again, I have forgotten to ask my psychiatrist if I'm allowed to.

Re: Australasia in the Playground V
My Kickstarter package has arrived! My fiance just texted me it...and I'm not at home to open it!
Feel like running naked around this room like Elan shouting "WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"
But I have class until about 9pm or so tonight. :(

So? Why should you let that stop you?
-
Re: Australasia in the Playground V
Because I'm not at home. My class is in 40 mins and I'm here early as I needed to get to TAFE before 5.
Our wedding invitations have arrived from the printers as well.

So? Still not seeing the problem.

Re: Australasia in the Playground V
With the going-to-class or the running around naked?
-
Re: Australasia in the Playground V
That would get their attention?

Re: Australasia in the Playground V
Been quiet. Starting a new job today, hopefully. At Kings Own Institute.

Thank you for reminding me that I need to finish my own job application... found a clerical position at a museum that sounds right up my ally... if only I wasn't apparently coming down with the cold my husband had last week.. I'd feel much more in the mood... right now all I really want to do is curl up and sleep.
