No really though. He's already looking overloaded on 5 drop minions. Take the swamp ooze. It trades up on curve and can get incredible value if you're holding it into a strong weapon drop.

There's no particular policy on autopicks. Some people ask every pick, some people autopick pretty liberally and only ask about the tough ones, some people just pick faster when it's easy instead of waiting for multiple opinions.

Novice engineer is the pass, argent squire is the aggressive pick, and repentance goes with the mad scientist and is occasionally really strong. I'd suggest squire. You already have kings and wisdom, and squire is a good cheap way to output ping early and to receive blessings later.

Oh. I...don't know why I didn't say anything about the previous pick. I agree with Squire.
Anyway, for this one, Core Hound is right out. Spawn is usually terrible, and sometimes okay. Gnome is always mediocre, but at least you always get a Spare Part out of it. I'd take Gnome.
Sparepart Gnome. Some of those parts (freeze, statswap) sometimes have bigger impact than the unlikely to get +1/+1 buffs
You play him late with another card and hero power or on a crowded board. If the opponent kills it, you get the bonus. If they trade with your other stuff and it lives, you play stuff on your next turn and have control how you want to trade it off. It's an awful 3 drop, but it's a really solid play around turn 5-7. Similar to competitive spirit.
Edit: if you're playing him on 3, it's to bait removal, as people will go hard to kill it the turn you play it.
I've literally never seen Spawn of N'zoth proc. Sample size maybe, but I have a very, very bad opinion of the card.
