Of course, I'm not stupid you know. :smallwink:

Re: The Post-Kickstarter Discussion Thread: Bask in the Afterglow
I'm back in the 21'st century and have internet access again. I have caught up on the OotS comics I missed in the last three weeks and checked my emails. I received the survey email for my $250 pledge a week ago and have responded. Now to simply wait for Rich to dig his way out of the massive pile of work he has made for himself to start on the crayon drawings. (twiddles thumbs ... plays angry birds ... checks email again ... what's taking so long? darn it!)

Re: The Post-Kickstarter Discussion Thread: Bask in the Afterglow
When will we get the PDFs or Magnets? I just finish my survey.
(Just checking make sure if I need to do something.)

PDFs, or rather all electronic material, will be available as soon as it is completed. if you are getting a magnet only, no other rewards, I think they have been order and will be shipped out soon, say within a week or two. But if you didn't fill out your survey first thing, (as you say you just did it) you might be one of the last to be shipped.

Re: The Post-Kickstarter Discussion Thread: Bask in the Afterglow
According to me the magnets are being shipped out as we speak.
They are in and are allready on the way to people. Don't know it for certain though.

Excellent. That's one big thing off the too do list and one step closer to getting the first set of minis!

Great!
But do we now we have to look to the Dwarves or Elves for something finer?

Re: The Post-Kickstarter Discussion Thread: Bask in the Afterglow
Technically, shouldn't that be the finest coloring book ever crafted by the hand of giantkin? Unless Rich is saying he outsourced it to a (male) human...:smallconfused:

Perhaps male giants are also called men, and there are coloring books crafted by the hand of woman that he may or may not have surpassed.
-
Re: The Post-Kickstarter Discussion Thread: Bask in the Afterglow
Heck, maybe Rich might have a dwarf blood in him (Craftsmanship).
P.S- I got a message that my magnet will come in two -fourdays!

Really? I don't seem to have got one... where was the message sent to, your e-mail or your kickstarter account?
-
Re: The Post-Kickstarter Discussion Thread: Bask in the Afterglow
I'm still waiting to hear any kind of feedback about what I'm supposed to do now.

Assuming you're talking about being in Texas and not increasing your pledge to cover tax like you mentioned last page, have you contacted Rich and/or put it in the notes on your survey? That's really your only option at the moment.

Are you suggesting Rich is unaware what the proper term to call himself is? :P

I filled out the survey weeks ago, before I had ever heard of this issue. I tried sending Rich a message via Kickstarter, but there's been no response and I think I may have accidentally somehow sent it to myself.
-
Re: The Post-Kickstarter Discussion Thread: Bask in the Afterglow
I'd try Rich at Kickstarter again, apologize for the duplicate message (in case you didn't really send it to yourself) and ask the question. That way you will be sure that he gets it.

Email account.
If you're being sent anything other than the magnet (by mail, the pdf doesn't count), then it will probably take a considerable time longer.

Thanks, that's what I thought.

If you're talking about seeing the message you sent in your kickstarter mailbox, that's just how kickstarter's mail system works. It should still indicate that it was sent to Rich Burlew, and that you have 0 replies to the message.
Based on the prior updates about clearing his mailbox, it seems that Rich deals with the messages primarily in waves of activity. Focusing primarily on only a handful of different activities at various times would not be surprising given how much he's got on his plate now.

Re: The Post-Kickstarter Discussion Thread: Bask in the Afterglow
Hey, I'm having trouble emailing my Stick it to You pictures to Rich. Every time I try to send it to the address he gave ([email protected]) I just get a message that my email didn't send. Help, please?
-
Re: The Post-Kickstarter Discussion Thread: Bask in the Afterglow
Its good to see that progress has been made on the production. As such it was well worth the wait.:smallwink: Most likely the next time the giant make a update he'll have the stckers, pads, and the like ready to ship.
There is one thing I find funny though. Where did 16th century people get LEGO rockstars?

Um... forgive me if you've already tried this, but...
Have you tried using the Kickstarter message system itself, or have you used your usual email route? That might have an effect, if you haven't. Just a thought.

Well, you can't attach pictures to a Kickstarter message, so I can't really send them to him that way.
-
Re: The Post-Kickstarter Discussion Thread: Bask in the Afterglow
Sorry: should have been clearer...
You could point to a link to a picture using the Kickstarter one. That is, if you have means to do that.

Re: The Post-Kickstarter Discussion Thread: Bask in the Afterglow
So it looks like the books and stuff won't ship until the last week of April. I'm moving May 1st (or slightly earlier), so I need to give Rich (or whoever's shipping the books) my new address.
1. Should I send that now or wait a bit?
2. Who do I send my new address to and how?
Sorry if these questions have been asked somewhere else.

How big are the files that you are trying to send?
Many email providers set a limit to the size of attachments (or actually to the size of the whole email). Note that a file attached to an email takes more space than on the harddrive (due to the encoding used).
Also, if your internet connection is rather slow the connection to the smtp server (email server) might time out while your email client is still uploading the email to the server.
Euodiachloris idea to upload the pictures elsewhere and only send an email with the link(s) might solve this problem.
This is generally a good idea anyway when handling bigger files as one doesn't know what size limit the email provider of the recipient sets.

Sending it sooner is usually better.
My suggestion is either you use the send message button right under the OotS kickstarter title to let Rich know OR if you aren't getting anything that Rich himself needs to touch (signed books, crayon drawings, first born son, etc.) you could try contacting Ookoodook since they will most likely be filling the order.

Also,
I find it very amusing that the Randon Dungeon generator is adopting a unit of measure on Kickstarter known as the Burlew Point. It is 1/100th of the kickstarter total, so $12,541. (scroll to the bottom of update #13 and update #8)
http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/...geon-map/posts
Perhapse this will be come a "thing" in future RPG kickstarters?
Maybe even ones beyond those with additional "Rich"es (update #8).
