Re: Ménage à 3 III: 47 Seconds Later
You that if he apparently didn't had magical oral sex skills that give women magical orgasms, Amber might have gotten a bit creeped out by him having every single one of her old movies? :smalltongue:
But anyway, interesting, who knows how this will progress huh?

Re: Ménage à 3 III: 47 Seconds Later
So long as we don't see a little girl on a trike we should be fine.

Ha, so this is really about him being awkward with actually knowing her. :smallamused:
(And i doubt she'd have a problem with that. It's kinda part of the job.)

I wouldn't watch barred/blurred with the audio still audible at work.
Morph: Sinfest. A comic that ran for years, and years, and regularly used to make fun of having a main character that was basically a lusty loser who thought it was cool. Including regular features such as "the main characters read porno scripts in serious voices" and the devil running a strip club.
Then the author got "enlightened" by feminism and introduced a new character, a militant, rather characterless feminist on a bike who drove around and lectured everyone on the evils of sex and pornography. Didn't go over well with the fans.

At least she made the first strip to get the help for little helpless alien dude (from Planet Negativeeffectopia) after getting ignored from everyone.

I don't think Gary understands how property works. :smallconfused:

A few of her videos? Sure. All of them? That's more problematic... :P

Lately, we've been seeing a lot less of her, thank Devil for small favors. You think Tat learned his lesson?

I don't know. I stopped reading one or two months ago.

Re: Ménage à 3 III: 47 Seconds Later
Not exactly knowledgeable on the erotic materials industry, but is that or is that not a lot of videos for one performer to produce?
It sure seems a lot.

Re: Ménage à 3 III: 47 Seconds Later
Not sure what Gary's motivation is here? Has he finally realized that Amber is an actual person? If so, his reaction comes across as patronizing.

That well known bastion of ultimate knowledge - The Wikipedia article - has quotes saying that an actress 'performing' in 5 movies a week isn't uncommon, including bit parts and uncredited background work. Especially for 'new' actresses who need to make their mark and get noticed.
If Gary really has seen *ALL* of her movies, that could be as much as 200 in her first year alone. The 'real life' stuff behind pornography is really depressing. :smalleek:

I can kind of see the logic behind it. Gary feels ashamed that he has perceived Amber (a friendly, warm and generally quite pleasant human being) as a one dimensional fantasy, and this is his way of renouncing his 'imaginary lover' - he's symbolically getting rid of his embarrassing past so as to get to know her again as a person.
Of course, the way that it will probably work out instead?
Gary: "I'm so sorry!"
Amber: *coyly* "I'm very upset, Gary!"
Gary: "I'll do anything to make it up to you!"
Amber: "Anything, you say....?"
:smalltongue:

Re: Ménage à 3 III: 47 Seconds Later
*cue the soundtrack to one of her movies*

According to WikiAnswers the actual number of credited parts is usually below 40, with the more prolific ones being just under 100.
So yeah, Gary would probably have well over 50, quite likely past 100 movies.
And dude, the depressing truths tend to get way more depressing than that. What's almost as depressing was the whole sinfest conversation up there simply because I've seen those strips and the author, for all his preaching about the evils of porn, never actually goes into the reasons WHY it's supposed to be bad, and if any reason is given it's supposed to be bad for the viewer, not the people on the other side of the screen.

He's a modern day nerd. Why does he have physical copies of all these films?

Because the giving up of the physical porn collection is still funny?

Guys, there's a sinfest thread in this forum, take trike girl discussion there.
Why have the physical copies? He likes to collect stuff.

Perhaps downloading them online wasnt as popular back when he first started collecting? I dont recall how old gary is, but when i first started downloading porn it was terrible quality unless I wanted to pay for it. And if I wanted to pay for it, I would rather have a hardcopy.

Re: Ménage à 3 III: 47 Seconds Later
Well, Amber got a good point there. I really can't argue with her, not even while she's trying to destroy his relationship.

Yeah... Gary is really not getting anything out of this deal at all. Now i wonder what Amber will suggest here. :smallamused:

Whatever her offer... I'm sure he'll have a hard time refusing. Heck, I'd have a hard time refusing at least.
So... I'm not old enough for this but... for the older people... is a porn collection of that size normal? I really wouldn't know. I never read magazines unless at friends and movies... well, when I got old enough there was the internet. I'm just curious whether all these giant porn collections are exaggerated or Truth in Television. (if anyone feels like admitting to it, that is)
-
Re: Ménage à 3 III: 47 Seconds Later
Kinda depends, really. Video tapes are pretty big and can accumulate quickly like this, but DVDs... seems unlikely that they'll take more space than a big shopping bag, including his magazines. He can't hide this sort of stuff under his matress either. He'd have a dedicated bookshelf for his porn.
So i'd call this comedic exaggeration. :smallamused:
-
Re: Ménage à 3 III: 47 Seconds Later
It's also implied that the box is all just his Amber DVDs. She's doing the job for 10 years at the very most and even what I assume would be very short production times, that box is huge!
-
Re: Ménage à 3 III: 47 Seconds Later
I never really had a collection. I got bored and tossed all my stuff as time went on and started over. I think I have maybe a few movies somewhere that I havent chucked yet and thats it. On the other hand, I DID see one guy with something the size of a hope chest filled with movies and magazines, so ymmv.

Re: Ménage à 3 III: 47 Seconds Later
Kinda reminds me of when I was twelve and have away my transformers collection.
Except less, you know, weird.
