As Shep peers around the corner, his eyes widen. Immediately in front of him is a well armored skeleton, possibly of some type of goblinoid human, wielding a large falchion. The monster appears not to notice the near-invisible Goliath, and Shep is soon able to see beyond the Skeleton Warrior to see another group of skeletons in a long hallway supported by pillars. The skeletons appear to be hacking away at the supports, in an effort to collapse the ceiling! At the far end of the hallway, Shep can just barely make out the shapes of the Elf Kala, and a bodyguard of some sort. She appears to be speaking to someone off to the east, and Lucan hears the phrases "block the passage" and "hold them off" echo down the hallway.
In addition, Lucan's sharp ears pick up the sound of faint movement just inside the doorway, definitely not from the skeletons.
In addition to the main passageway leading north, there appears to be a smaller passage to the west, and a passage to the east leading to the edge of what appears to be a body of water. From his position, however Shep is unable to see very far down either of these tunnels.

Pavick darts out from his protected space to where he can see to fire off a spell. After a few quick words of magic, a faintly glowing orb of force appears in his hand which he hurls down the hallway. It lands at the feet of several of the skeletal workers and explodes.
Pavick then taunts the elven woman as he darts a little farther forward. "Come on now, Kala. I expected you'd want to stick around and take a shot at me yourself. You remember me don't you, the turncoat who stole your wagon?" His small voice echoes in the large cavern.

[roll0]
Which is a 14 with the +2 from the charge. Hi, forum roller.
DM Post
Shep's initial shuriken catches the undead warrior off-guard, and chips away a chunk of thigh bone. Unfortunately, this isn't enough to distract the skeleton from Eltain's charge, and the creature brings up it's falchion in time to block the attack. It hisses at the radiant light coming from Eltain's blade.
Lucan's first shot flies directly between two ribs of the skeleton chopping away at the column, and *plinks* harmlessly off of the column on the far side. His next shot is deflected off of a column as well, but the final shot severs the spinal bones of one of the skeletons, sending it collapsing into a heap of bones.
The swordmage has better luck than his half-breed ally, and slices into the femur of the skeleton in front of him, the *crunch* of dry bones breaking echoes throughout the chamber.
Pavick, however, is more fortunate. His force orb tears through two of the skeletons, shattering their bones against the wall. His taunt also proves to be effective.
Kala steps up, drawing her bow. "I haven't forgotten, little gnome. The only way you're leaving these tombs is as a mindless zombie under my control. She pulls out two arrows, and with a quick murmur both start glowing with a purple fire. She fires the first at the gnome, but the awkward angle defeats her, and her shot ricochets harmlessly off of the column. Cursing, she directs her second shot at a more direct target, and sends and arrow into Aramil's leg. The wound is not deep, however. (4 damage total). Kala barks an order to the skeleton workers.
The guard, hesitant to move forward between the columns pulls out a crossbow, and also takes a shot at the swordmage, sending a dart into Aramil's side. (10 damage)
The warrior, still hissing at the Paladin with the glowing sword, brings him arm back, and jabs deeply into Eltain's side. As he pulls his blade out, the serrated edge causes the wound to continue to bleed (8 damage - ongoing 5 - save ends)
Above the din, Lucan hears a small *plink* and catches sight of what looks like a discarded potion vial rolling across the floor haphazardly to the east, as if something had dropped it. Before he has a chance to think about this, he feels the blade of a small axe dig into his side, and pull him close to a slim half-orc that suddenly appeared out of thin air behind him. The half-orc grabs hold of the bard, and positions Lucan between himself, and any potential attackers. (10 damage - Lucan is grabbed. The Half-Orc may try and position Lucan between himself and any attack, so that the half-elf will take the hit)
The Skeleton workers shift around to where Kala commanded them, and continue hacking at the columns. With a crack, the front-left most column crumbles to the floor, causing rubble to spill over the surrounding area. In addition, Pavick spies another skeleton moving towards him from the tunnel to the left.

He calls back to the elven woman, "Then in a few days we'll have something in common; we'll both be dead. I've seen the proof that your partners intend to kill you soon. He slips even closer to Kala, before marking her forehead with a magic sigil, even from several paces away. "I do not wish to harm such a lady as yourself, with such marksmanship and arcane prowess. DM Post
The Shepherd's backflip is truly impressive, but his landing is slightly off, causing the swing to go wide.
Eltain, however, his sword glowing brightly, brings the blade down onto the undead monster in front of him, causing the creature to howl with pain at the holy light.
With a shove, Lucan pushes away the half-orc away, and sends an arrow into his thigh, causing the rogue to wince.
Aramil, with a flash of light, jabs the Warrior, and appears suddenly next to the worker. While the warrior gives an additional howl of pain, the skeleton hacking away at the column dodges nimbly.
Pavick is able to dispatch the skeleton coming down the hall with ease, but his appeal to Kala is met with laughter. "Can you really think I'd be so foolish? They need me, and would never betray me. A valiant effort, my little friend, but you'll have to do better than that." Kala glances up at the glow on her forehead, and after taking a quick step back, fires off two bolts into the Eladrin. (22 damage total)
The skeleton warrior, still furious at the paladin, attacks again, but its swing goes wild, and Eltain is able to dodge without difficulty.
The rogue, tries to hook the Goliath with an axe similar to the way he grabbed Lucan, but the attempt is almost laughable. With a growl, he steps back, and pulls a flask of some sort of liquid out of his coat.
The skeleton workers continue to hack away at the columns, except for the one Aramil marked. The skeleton takes a swipe with its boney hand, and catches the Eladrin across the neck. This proves too much for the swordmage, and he collapses. Moments later, the column he was standing next to collapses as well, sending rubble crashing down. (5 damage from the claw, once you're conscious you'll need a DC 14 athletics check to escape from the stones on top of you)
The Bodyguard, who was waiting to see what happened to the columns, laughs as the Eladrin goes down, then peers down the hallway and takes a shot at the only person he can see, Shep. The shot goes wild, though, and bounces harmlessly off of the far wall.

"Your loss, lady," Pavick calls back to Kala.
He glances over his shoulder into the tunnel where he'd destroyed a skeleton. He had expected to see many more pouring through there, but so far the hall remained empty. His curiousity was about to get the better of him, he could just feel it coming on.
But first, he turned back to the battlefield. A few words of arcane power later a pair of rays of icy cold bolt across the cavern, one aimed for the skeleton in the middle the other for the orc sneak. Then, Pavick and with a quick wave of his hand the cloud of daggers blinked out of existence a moment early and he rushed through the place they once were to try to get a glimpse of what might have been up that way.

DM Post
After the skeleton's frantic swing at Shep and Eltain, Lucan's quick arrow drops another of the undead chopping at the column. Aramil, however, is not so fortunate, as even the lightning from his blade isn't fast enough to harm the nimble undead.
Pavick, however, fairs better than all as two bolts of ice shoot into the undead warrior, and the half-orc. The shards of ice dig deep into the half-orc, sending droplets of frozen blood bouncing to the floor.
Kala, seeing the advancing line, quickly moves back, and with a word of force creates an explosion of energy in the midst of Eltain, Lucan, and Shep, knocking all three of them to the ground in pain (12 damage - prone)
The guard, clearly uncomfortable with the crossbow instead of the spear on his back, takes another shot at Aramil, only to hear a resounding *twang* of ... nothing, as he realizes he failed to load it. He steps back with a curse.
The Undead creature, unable to chase after the paladin or the wizard who injured it so badly, takes a swipe at the monk on the ground in front of him. An attack Shep would normally be able to dodge had he been on his feet.Blood begins pooling under the Goliath. (7 damage - 5 ongoing (save ends))It's only Lucian's quick bard song that saves him from the attack.
The half-orc, also unable to get a clear shot at the wizard, tosses a handaxe awkwardly at the monk, but Shep's string of unluck continues, and the hatchet digs into his arm. (6 damage). The attack is again deflected by the song of Lucan. The Half-orc begins drinking the potion in his hand, and you see him begin to fade from view! (light concealment this round, will be invisible at the start of his next turn)
The two remaining skeletons continue hacking away at their respective columns. While the skeleton to the north finds his column stubborn, the column nearest to the entrance crumbles, sending rubble raining down onto Lucan and Eltain. (You're pinned under the rubble, DC 14 Athletics check to escape)
A final skeleton, unseen up to this point, comes scrambling down the tunnel to the left. It seems almost surprised to find the gnome there, and takes a swipe at Pavick. The attack is a good one, and while Pavick momentarily debates bringing up his magical shield, he determines that it would be ineffective. (5 damage)
With a rumble, you see cracks spreading across the ceiling. It looks like without the support of those columns, the roof in this part of the tunnel may collapse at any second!

Aramil flashes like lightning again, blitzing across the crumbling section of the tunnel and slashing at the human at the other end as his form fades back into view. Pointing at Kala, he summons the sigil again. "I told you, I won't let you harm my friends." With that, he enters a defensive stance to try to hold off the inevitable pain.

Finally, Lucan's song dies. He shakes his head, trying to recover from the damage that knocked him prone. He's just quick enough to see Shepherd attacked by the skeleton, and with a shouted word, he attempts to protect him.
Struggling to his feet, Lucan first heals Eltain, trying to drag him to a better position, before seeing to himself.
