He looks around at the gathered gods, the shards of the Varakhut floating beside him. "My purview has naught to do with life, save for its end. I have only...twice... created a living being possessed of will, and both cases had extenuating circumstances in that creation. I offer the components of this Varakhut and its devotion to a single cause as the beginnings of this new god. I cannot give it will, nor the power to be a god in its own right. If thou thinkest this course be a wise one, I would ask thee to lend it a portion of thy divine strength, to make it worthy of its cause and more than I have the power to do."
Ignus steps close to it, and examines the construct. She strikes it on the head, giving it knowledge wisdom and will. "And now it has the capacity to think." She lifts the stylus on the haft of her hammer opposite the head, and then lets it fall. "I shall wait to enchant it's body until others have given their gifts, yes?"

Coyote and Ahn - Divinity Throneroom
Coyote overheard a voice on the divine winds calling for "Divinities". He decided that he surely must be a "Divinity" too, for it sounded like great fun.
Coyote appeared before Ahn. "Greetings, uncle on my mother's side. It is I, Coyote, the greatest of the Divinities come to introduce myself and my great lineage."

Gathered Gods - Limbo
Rannes fumbled backwards in response to the stare of the Cosmic Mother. What the mother said made sense - but did not alleviate the fact that Rannes still knew little of the entity. What she did know, at least, was that she might have just enough energy to help make the new deity. She tapped it on its arm, imbuing a portion of her energy. "A love for what it does." She looked around, and realized that this Limbo didn't have much to explore. "Speaking of doing what one does, I've got a date with exploration! Let me know if you guys need anything else" She opened a few gates, accidentally making the first few a bit too small, before finally making a usable exit, and jumped through.
Kealoharen placed a gentle hand on the arm of the constuct, imbuing it with a bit of their own energy as well. "Inner peace, outer love. Hope for a bright future."

Divinity Throneroom - Ahn, Coyote
Ahn grinned a great wide grin at the sight of Coyote, beady little red eyes twinkling upon the vaguely gnome-like face. "Ha! Ahaha! Well! You're not expected! You weren't invited but that's fine! Aha!"
The Lord of Luck jumped up to crouch upon his throne and eyed Coyote like a cat would a new toy. "Can't say I recall you! Can't say that I do! Cant really say that I can't " he shouted as he burst into a bubble of slime and slunk back into his throne and turned into a beautiful pale-skinned elven man with long white hair and beady red eyes.
"Divinities!" He said as he gestured with slender fingers that ended in wicked talons across the entire throneroom, 5 thrones, each with a specific theme. "We were founded by The Visionary as a Pantheon to Judge the gods themselves! Ha! Aha! We have done NOTHING! These thrones are EMPTY when they should be FULL! Ha! So much for all that! All I have coming is a little spirit!"
Ahn leaned forward and grinned at Coyote as he shifted again into a vaguely bird-like humanoid with rainbow colored feathers.

The assassin was insistent on breaking down the language barrier between himself and these new creatures.
He had established they contained some sense of intellect, now, as long as he didn't pose a threat, his only concern was that they would consider him a meal. So far it didn't seem so.
As the days passed and they travelled together the assassin often stopped to point out an item, then he would repeat the word numerous times. Gentle praise was given if they could recite his sounds, as he often attempted to replicate theirs, (although with great difficulty).

Ruins of Parnetia - Valask Jr., Kerx
With the soft pad of feline feet, a black cat with firey red eyes drops down upon a ledge above Valask Jr.
A grin crossed the cats face, an unnatural grin unfotting for a cat as it laid itself down upon the charred brick and it called out in a sing-song voice. "Oh Junior! Oh little Valask! What're ya doin' that's got your panties all up in a bunch?"
The cat tilted it's head to the side without stopping and it's grinning face spun around like a clock several times, waiting for Valask Jr. to give an answer.

As his host's form shifted, Coyote's coat began dancing with wavy lines of vibrant colors. Soon his fangs also got into the party as they began flashing various hues found on the rainbow.

Ahn once again shifted but this time into a black puddle of ooze that barely stayed upon the throne, a multitudle of eyes and tentacles popping around and a wide fang filled mouth opened up "Nope! Can't say I can fill one! The members of the Divinities have already been chosen! Five individuals! Myself, God of Luck! Hemeliosa, Goddess of Glory! Grenzo, That Which Burns! "Fun! Ha! I know just the place!" Ahn the Blob lurches forward and wraps around Coyote. When he finally unwraps and reforms into that of a gnome in rags and a solid black cane the landscape had changed.

The sky was grey, dull grey, boring grey that held an ominous air about it as pieces of debris floated through it, some fast, some slow and in all directions.
Ahn grinned as a scream ripped through the sky from somewhere deep in the Swamp and turned to Coyote with a twirl of his staff. "Welcome to my Sanctum! Ha! Stay close if you don't want to be eaten! Everything here has an appetite!"

While Ahn was out and about and doing his thing, The Raven Mother found herself unceremoniously dumped upon Ahn's Throne of Flesh and Bone.

Re: Lords of Creation in the Playground (IC2)
Northern Demiourgia
Annah and Marec were strangely drawn to Old Mags, perhaps because she was the only other huglin around. She did not seem to sleep in the village, yet one could see her of a night in the tavern, playing at dice or cards or singing old songs they had known in Parentia, before the fall. One day Annah asked Old Mags if she would like a gift, from the gold Marec had panned.
"A gift,” she smiled, “for me?” She thanked Annah and Marec profusely and at week’s end Annah spent the afternoon fashioning the golden brooch she requested, featuring a mask with a lopsided grin, one eye winking in delight, the other down-turned and sullen.
“Child,” Old Mags was pleased when she saw the trinket, “you seek the divine in everything you do.” She hugged the surprised huglin who hesitated a moment before returning the embrace. So Annah found herself telling Mags of the horror that had happened when the Kix came to Parentia and its surrounding lands and how she and Marec had barely escaped with their lives and a handful of jewellery between them to help them survive the long journey to Rymshire, a village far enough from Parentia, and friendly enough for them to live in.
“You see much, child, but you do not see all,” said Old Mags, “let me share a little of what I see.” The huglin withdrew her hood, clasped Annah by the shoulders and looked directly into her startled amber eyes. Annah was beset with visions, images that threatened to swarm her consciousness with constant awareness of the Playground but somehow, within all the chaos she was comforted, as she saw many huglins, scattered but still trying to live well, though others had been lost to malaise and the stirrings of revenge.
Fortunately, as if she was guided to it, her mind’s eye alighted on a bluish, crackling lightning bolt tinged with violet, rigid upon the earth despite its form.
“You have found another treasure child,” Old Mags smiled crookedly and Annah saw for the first time that she was not so much old as ageless. “I have?” Annah blinked, reeling from the multi-coloured after-images of what she had seen, what she might see again. Mags presented her with the brooch before leaving, though Annah had meant it for her but the two had reached some kind of understanding and Annah was not surprised, an emblem of Rymshire, along with the rest.
“Old mother,” Marec had asked the strange huglin when he found out she was leaving, “where are you going?”
“North and South again and then maybe somewhere in the middle,” came the cryptic answer and later Annah spoke quietly with her brother, to leave the matter alone.
Now for father,” Old Mags muttered to herself as she turned away from the village, “but first, the treasure.”

Bahosian Forest - Lylien
In very few and rare ocasions the mech goddess left the mechanical contraption serving as the first city for the moongrels on the forest. Many things had changed since the last time she had done that. For one other oversized constructs housing scores of moongrel traversed the dense forest, wraithwood bending and reshaping to let them through. Her mechanical body, while stying being larger than any, was no longer unique in function.
It was time then for new frontiers. As the void navy took to the void, establishing bases and traveling points, charting the emptiness for posterity. But another frontier was the space between spaces, there were planes of existence that a mortal would be troubled to reach through the void. The goddess decided to work on that.
She looked at her mech, her own extension of self in the material plane. That was her link to the world. Her anchor. And now it was what was holding her down. And by extension her people. It was time to break it. To mold it different. To change the function.
And so the goddess raised her hands an directed her will moulding the wraithwood in the construct, changing it, digging deeper into the wood's psyche. It grew. It became less tangible and more substantial. The humanoid form was broken as limbs started to sprout from the construct as branches from a tree. It was there and suddenly it wasn't there anymore. The anchor was gone.
Lylien felt the pull from the void calling for her, now unburdened for the material plane. As she was shunted away she thought her children goodbye. She was gone now.
But from the void's emptyness she could feel the calling pressence of what had been her mechanical body. Empowered now she dig into it, molding it like wet clay. She extended it, covering the playground and touching what she realized now were other god's thoughts and visions. She touched the death god's shadow, the eldest's belly, the renewing fire, the dreams plenty as they were... She touched for everything. But her power vast as it was wasn't enough to contact everything in simmering wraithwood.
Suddenly she realized that Leh, her younger brother, was standing besides her. He held a cauldron on his hands bubbling with molten gold that he started pouring slowly upon the realm giving it solidity and substance.

The wandering assassin and shogling party
The Shoglings seemed to be learning slowly. When ever one learned something they started cross referencing among themselves to try and help the others understand. They didn't seem to have a problem saying the words but they had a lot of difficulty with actually learning the words. The first few times they seemed to copying the exact pitch of the words but with completely different sounds with words that sounded nothing like what you said. After the words were repeated however they seemed to start to understand it was the sounds that mattered. They were still absolutely horrible at it particularly if they were by themselves when they arrived but at least they could say some basic things. The Shoglings for their part copied the assassin's actions whenever they got the words right.

A plan of action is needed while the unworthy sit around and do nothing." The Raven Mother let out a long hiss, shaking her head and spitting on the floor once more. With a loud laugh, the cat jumps and lands at Vask Jr.'s feet. The cat grins before taking the form of Kerx, The Horned-Goblin!
Kerx spun around a bit d eyed the Huglings with contempt. "Can't get Luck from Mongrels who weren't even blessed by the God of Luck! Ha!"
He pulled a flute out of his belt and held it aloft "I've a solution! Why look for something yourself when you can have minions!?"
Kerx began playing the flute in an upbeat tune and within moments countless rats of varying sizes began to swarm their location.
Sanctum, The Madhouse - Ahn, Coyote
Ahn grinned and twirled his staff before turning around and started marching into the swamp. As they moved deeper, the Swamp's nature became more and more noticable.
The Sanctum was an eerie place, everything seemed oddly quiet. Pseudeonatural snakes and rats and insects of various shapes and sizes move about as the duo marched into the swamp. Weird tentacles reached out from the murky waters that smelled of rank alcohol which has sat for far too long. From the shades of the twisted trees and vine, beautiful elven women moved in and out of the shadows. They sang and they flirted as they two passed by.

Divine Throneroom - The Raven Mother, Skreechy, Viper
The Raven Mother hisses at Skreechy's outburst, her wings flare out in a threatening manner which makes her seem much larger than she is. "Insolent creature! -I- didnt summon you. Twas Ahn, your rightful Master... (more hissing) You are by mistake, a member of the Divinities....a mistake but a member nonetheless. Would Ahn but will it, I would rip your throat out and take that scepter for someone worthy of the title!"
The Harpy took a few threatening steps closer but she stopped and simply turned around and retracted her wings. She looked over her shoulder at the goblin and stated "The Divinities have stayed still for too long. It's time we did something to make ourselves known." An evil grin crosses her face "It is time to gather the Divinities, mortal and immortal alike so that we might cast judgement! It is time for all the gods to submit to a New Universal Order!" She cackles with a great amount of glee.

The assassin and diplomatic shoglings
The assassin found himself growing fond of these creatures, they had an inquisitive determination to which he could almost relate, and even if they were currently unaware of it, they shared similar views on magic. Only using it was not beneath the assassin, any means necessary and all that, but to use it was to admit defeat of his own skills. A weakness he often wouldn't indulge in.
This fondness was quickly put in check as he carried out another lesson of words, they were exchanging names of objects well but still struggled on actions and descriptions.
He had once stretched his arms wide while saying 'big' and it seems they mistook his meaning.
'Big mountain', they stretch out there arms at the mountain...
At least they understood the head shake that followed...
But the shared determination showed a continuos improvement, he was quickly analysing their language and had the advantage of observing them talk to each other naturally. Having learnt new languages before the assassin was picking it up quick and with each progressive step he took in their tongue the more of his he could explain.
"My sleep dirt" he says in a clicking tongue as he points to the ruins of Parnetia. "My home"
As a shogling begins to walk in that direction he stops them. "No. Go my eye wound one" he clicks off as he points off in another direction.
"We go see my blood, my familia first"
"Rymshire"
With a few kicks of dirt he covers the bonfire, extinguishing the charring remains. It would be the last one he made on this trip. Repetitively over the last few nights he had shown the shogling's his actions and would now leave it to the them to make.
-----------
Rymshire
It had been so long since he had laid eyes on his adorable little sister, his parents had long ago exhiled him, turning their backs to, and all the crowns guards against him. The guards ruthlessly and fiercely hunted him down like an animal, but he survived, and an animal is what they created. He risked life returning to try find her only to discover his family had disappeared.
However the shadows had recently spoken to him, and he knew where to find her...
In the town of Rymshire.
There was no law enforcer that could keep him from what he sought. No one strong enough to deny him. With the amount he had grown over the lost years of wandering and with the recent guidance of the god of hatred, he began to question if any in all of Demiourgia could be called his equal.
And so he moves on, into the small town of Rymshire with a score to settle and a pack of shogling's in tow.

Parnetia ruins - Valask Jr and Kerx
The little jester burst out with a friendly giggle as he rocked excitedly in his chair when the cat became Kerx, his excitement and laughter only continued, stealing his breath for words, as rats came pouring in from every nook and cranny to the sound of the instrument.
He claps in delight as he watches what is to come next.

"Isstus is online. All systems operating at half capacity. Weapons: fully functional." it says as the giant construct takes its first step.
"Mission: Opposing all attempts to resurrect Divinity: Zalsaram. Freedom from Divnity: Zalsaram's malice is the sovereign right of all Category: Mortals."
The Cosmic Mother's voice is heard rumbling once more "Now then... all that remains is to solidify this alliance. For those who wish to act as the Aegis of the Playground and defend it against those who would wish to resurrect Zalsaram, place your name upon the divine scroll, and let it serve as a testament of our combined desire to see our Children thrive."
Within the structure in the center of Limbo, a scroll appears floating upon a pedestal. Upon it is written the names of all who belong in Aegis and their dogma. First, is the Cosmic Mother. Although she does not write her name, she instead places her signature upon the Scroll of Aegis in the form of a miniature star, to shine forever as long as Aegis stands, even after her departure.
Next to it are the words "Zalsaram's return must be stopped." which is the basic condition for joining Aegis.
Kethneciel nods as the god is born, stepping forward to write his name upon the scroll in heavy, rigid lines. Next to it form the words of his dogma: "As part of stopping Zalsaram's return, the Playground must be made quiescent once more."
Kahla also steps forward and signs, though she frowns slightly as she does so. Her dogma reads as follows: "The cult bringing this resurrection about must be unmasked to the mortals, so that they may know their enemy."

The Ruins of Parnetia - Valask Jr., Kerx
Kerx played and played upon his flute and the rats did disperse far and wide and searched under every bush and in ever tunnel and crack and cave and atop every tree.
As Kerx brought his performance into a cresendo and gently down to a soft ending, the rats did gather again, a full moon in the sky. One rat, larger than most and standing on it's hind legs walked forward and it held in it's clawed hands the item which was sought, wrapped in a blood red cloth.

"FOOLISH FOOL OF A FOOL! THAT'S WHY I WAS CHOSEN TO SIT ON THIS STOOL AND YOU WEREN'T. Now then, listen closely... as far as I see it, I am the only one of the Divinities who is currently here. As all decisions are made by a majority, if the others were to... let us say... have their invitations misplaced... permanently... then we could use this power for our own agendas! WHY GIVE THEM THE POWER WHEN WE SHOULD HAVE IT AS WE SEE FIT?"
Skreechy's toothy grin is equally as wicked as the Raven Mother's. Here was a madman who committed atrocities upon his own people while supposedly saving them.
"Power could be ours for the taking."

The Raven Mother crossed her arms and stared at Skreechy with an eye of contempt and a wicked gleam in her eye "Or I could just rip your throat out. (She spits on the floor) Stupid little goblin. The die have been cast. The members of the Divinities have been chosen. You, a mortal cant just throw away divine invitations."
