Cryala, the Way Between
"They are interesting. Why would I seek to unravel something I enjoy?" Cryala takes the proffered hand.
Ru'tai, Council of Nine
The Council of Nine spoke as one, with one great voice. It was hard to tell if they were somehow linked, or were just very good at ad-libbing en masse. Ru'tai could not tell the identities of the different Council members, each of them wearing heavy hoods. It was only clear that they were of varied sizes. No single voice could be truly discerned through the combined sound. We are the Council of Nine. We Represent This Nation, this Ra'mir "Republic". We have heard your proposals and your reasons. We thank you for your gifts. It seems you have impressed one of our Lesser Councils. Now, let us see if you can impress US. They merely sat, immobile, their voices stilled, waiting for her to impress them.
Morning Star, Dralk'sirr
The Morning Star grinned. To the point at last. He only hoped that dragons were as gullible as angels. It seemed these types were easily trusting. Maybe a few centuries of his meddling existence would dissuade them of that foolish habit. His grin widened. "Well, you see, I have recently come to rule a whole kingdom. This kingdom lies not on this world, but in another plane of existence, like your Creators Eternal Flame. Now, this layer is large, and though I have many followers, I am in need of fellow leaders. I will no doubt draw some such leaders from my followers if they can prove themselves, but I am traveling to see if others wish to help me rule my realm. Now, understand that if you take this offer you will be bound under my lawful rule, for though you shall be the Queen of this layer, I am Queen of the whole Nine layers."
Yen: The Midnight Carnival
Yen only nods, the smile fading from his face for just an instant.
"They are so fragile. They break to easy. Even though I like what I have created....I get bored with it. I want something...mortal mind you, to always leave me guessing. Alot to ask...but! This new place we have made."
Yen makes a gesture with his free hand, a portal opening, a pollen laden breeze blowing from the opening. Alabaster walls and towering slanted roofs stretched far into the distance
"Ladies first, Dear Sister"
Ru'Tai: Emerald Crown
Ru'Tai bows deeply, her hands placed tightly on her chest
"Grand Council. "Greetings, I am Ru'Tai, member of the Clouds of Shadow Band, retainer to the main household of the Clouds of Shadow, and second captain of the Seats of the Grinning Lord's. I represent the city of Tenki, and the nation of the Shikigami who'se feet were some of the first to walk this world in its dawn years. We who have first taken the plants and trees of this world and employed them to heal our wounds and distract our pain. We who have taken to the grand journey seeing places in the world that none have even guessed existed. We have made bridges in the skies. And seek only to allow others passage over them.
I come before you this day with gifts, spices and gems from far flung lands, silks and wool created by master craftsman. Metals that can forge mighty weapons. They are for you and your people alone, no strings or obligations standing by them.
We of the City of Tenki. We of the Shikigami Nation seek only one thing in this world. To find the wants of others. And to fill them with satisfaction and gratification. What a nation desires, we shall provide. All we ask is the same. Trade. In one word. That is why I am before you this day Oh Grand Council. To humbly request trade from your great country and our greaet nation."
Cryala, the Way Between
"How generous." Cryala stepped through the portal, lightly tugging Yen's hand behind her.
Lyarin was gone.
The shadowkin were vulnerable.
Luumu smiled.
They would die.
The sun grew dark, and demons descended upon their lands and took every hundredth shadowkin to the beholder lands, where they were quickly enslaved. Their wills were strong, but once broken...they stayed broken. Very broken.
As darkness completely overtook the orb that lit the sky, a great rumbling was heard.
By the time light was restored there were no mountains left. All that remained where the shadowkin once had dwelled was a great sea, a total inversion of the land the Lyarin's followers held. And just as he was gone so now were they.

As the Shadowkin mountains were leveled, portals made by the Devils sprouted up in all the Cyclopes caves. The Cyclopes piled in them, appearing miles away from the destruction. Moving in, they took advantage of this situation, and many Shadowkin surviving the demons and the mountains destruction soon found themselves in Cyclopes clutches.
Herrak
The god of Gluttony was feeling pangs of hunger, but that wouldn't stop him from making something evil. He was annoyed by his hunger, and tried to rid himself of it for the time being. He forced out this hunger, which actually fell to the floor. He was back at his charred work-desk, contanly writing, when a groan was let out. Not from him, from something on the floor. He looked down, and saw it. A beast, with hard, grey scales, and a massive mouth. Its fangs were large, and was already snatching things up into its mouth. Its claws were equally large, as if to dig with. He took up this beast, making sure that it didn't bite him, and observed it. "You are hungry, you will always be hungry, like me" He says with a calm "You shall burrow and when the food you seek is right on top of you, you will burst forth and snatch the poor fellow up. You will consume for the sake of consumption, you will eat 'til there is nothing, nothing for you or anyone else, and then move on. You will be known as 'Bulette'. You will feed, oh yes, you will feed...". He sent it to the material plane. At first it was a lone Bulette, but after eating so much, it threw up. There was another Bulette in the vomit, and this would be how they would give birth. After a sizable population was formed throughout the world, Herrak Turned his attention to the plans for his next project, one that would require help...
Spoiler0=2-2 (Create Creature: Bulette)
As the catastrophe struck the shadowkind, Ishtar let out a roar of power commanding his children to try and save as many as possible, and they did. and while most of them died or where captured by the demons, those clans living closest the Irr'kartana mountains where saved, and integrated in the Shining scale.

Yen: The Eternal Heavens
Yen followed behind Cryala, sweeping a hand into the void that seperated the vast and varied layers of the Plane of Evil.
"Welcome, to all that shames creation by its image Dear Sister!"
In the gloom of the void, Yen's eyes seemed to take on a preadatory gleam as he laughed at nothing in particular.
Cryala, the Way Between
"I see..." Cryala looked around. "So this is a plane of punishment?"
Yen: The Eternal Heavens
"My region is, at times. But it is a plane of rewards as well. We can not cast judgement on the lives of the mortals so heavy handedly. Even through punishment creatures low and mighty in turn will find their fears turned to joy! I have not stepped within Oh Moons realm, and the Sun's creatures run through this land as if a wind! Such interesting things...but thats not the point is it? No, you came to see, and I came to walk beside you."
Cryala, the Way Between
"I see." Cryala walked to the first layer of the heaven, eager to see what it offered.
Morning Star
"Well you see, I wish you to rule a piece of it yes, for it is too large for me to rule alone and I need some others to help me rule and to keep order where order is tantamount"
Opalum, the void
Opalum gazed down at his children. They were surviving. But they needed to be strong to survive. And for that they needed an abundance of prey. Thus, Opalum gave the vampire's prey a surge in birth rate, knowing well enough that the vampire's would soon benefit from the increase in prey...

Rendirllyn scowled to himself as he watched the Goddess of Travel shuck the mortal realm and go off with Yen.
"Choose him over me, would she?" he muttered to himself. "I'll make him sorry he stole her. Boys! We're hunting new prey!"
Shikigami all over the world found things mysterously going wrong. Cream would sour overnight, babies would disappear from their cradles, and sentries or others out alone during the night would fail to return. The night became a time of terrors for Yen's people, every one dreading the sound of hoofbeats in the dark.

Yen: The Eternal Heavens
Yen had taken his first step into the great pyramid in the lofty heavens. The strange feelings from his creations peeked his interest. The god of nature wanted to harm his people...thinking it would in turn hurt him. Without reason he suddenly burst out laughing, hugging himself tightly, sending a spirit to the god
SpoilerI do not know why you have chosen to hunt my people. I have invited you into my home in trust, but if that is your desire I am sure I can't change your mind. I would ask only once that you reconsider. I truely do not wish to have problems with you
With a sweep of his hand, for ever child stolen, that child would turn out to be in fact a fey child and for every cream soured or crate ruined the fey would find it in their stocks along with food and metals for their efforts.
"My my....Dear Sister. People are so very antagonistic!"
[Nourish Populous: The Secret Switch -2, Nourish Populouce-1: 3 AP-2-1=0AP]
Herrak
The Ever-Hungry appeared before the god of the hunt, stepping out of a crimson/black cloud. "So you want my mother's attention, do you?" He asked with a heckle "You should try not killing babies, mother love babies" He circled the god of the hunt "You seem to have promise, I like your hunt. My beasts hunt ravenously as well" he stepped to his side "Perhaps we could partner up. These gods are pathetic, not nearly enough evil, my mother excluded from this". He paced around Rendirllyn again, waiting for a response.
Faalisk, The Sands of Time
Faalisk began working on his people. The race which would inhabit the Dune Sea and hunt in the scrub lands. They would be powerful and feared, and hold law and peace over all else. While they didn't revel in war, they would fight to preserve peace even if it meant total annihilation. These great and powerful reptiles would be his first living creation, knowing this the god smiled inwardly.
He would help them onto their feet before casting them to the wolves which the other gods were responsible for, that he promised.

Atheos
Atheos watched the spectacle of his father's ascension with little more than a passing interest. Although he felt that he owed his father for his creation, his logical processes soon reminded him that he was created for a purpose and that he was bound to nothing else. Atheos simultaneously replayed his fight with his father and although he had completely overwhelmed him, his performance was nothing if not lacking. He flexed his muscles and went through a few hand-to-hand routines, testing his limits. When he finished (realizing that his limits were indeed limiting!) Dayo had already collapsed and released a massive amount of light. Atheos observed this light, noticing that it was an almost pure form of energy. He whispered an indistinct word and the sword responded in kind, absorbing the tendrils of light and condensing them within it's blade. His father had muttered something before removing himself from this plane, but they drew no emotional response from Atheos, then again nothing does. He simply continued, wondering where his hypothesis might lead. He touched the blade ever so lightly, drawing out a single tendril of energy, the nature of the now-condensed energy causing it to crackle and dance. He then let go of the sword and it responded by suspending itself before Atheos. Atheos took this tendril and stretched it before him, separating it into five crackling bolts that danced between the fingertips of his right hand. He then took this energy and implanted it into his left arm, focusing his mind and flowing his own energy through his nerves, guiding the pure energy. His divine nerves resisted the destructive effect of the energy and instead forced it to condense further and integrate itself with the structure of the nerves.
He began to flex his arm's muscles, testing their new limits. He let out a trained and balanced punch, the pure speed and power popping his shoulder and elbow out of it's joint and creating tears all along the fabric of his biceps. He should have grimaced at the pain as he popped the joints back, but if he had felt it at all(and with empowered nerves he definitely should!) his unemotional face showed none of it. The divine spark running through his body healed the thousands of microscopic tears in his biceps and around his joints and removed the pain. Atheos continued to empower all of his nerves with this energy and then carefully sat down, making sure to not let his new speed cause irreparable damage to his body.
He considered how to fortify the resilience of his body so that it could bear the exertion of his new speed, the he realized that perhaps his father had left something worthwhile behind. He controlled his body's speed as he walked over to the "corpse" of his father, the pile of shed scales he had left. He picked one up but his fingers strength and staggering speed crushed the scale as if it were a mote of dust. Atheos ignored the disappointment, he had no time for such things, and considered what else he father had created. "Ah! The Sword!" Atheos willed the sword over to him and began a silent discussion with it. Over a thousand words had been exchanged between the two but physically it had taken a fraction of a second. The sword glowed lightly, it's form of a nod, and Atheos began drawing essence from the blade, taking it's divine resilience and implanting it into his own body. The essence fused with his muscles and bone, strengthening their already paramount structure tenfold and reducing the same of the blade, although it remained far above the level of any mortal artifact.
Blade in hand, Atheos went through a deadly dance of his, the shear inexplicable speed and power of his slashes and kicks causing the air pressure to slice all that was around around him. His body remained intact and he nodded his approval and before setting off.

Cryala, the Way Between
Cryala turned away from Yen for a moment. "Excuse me, I must attend to this." Cryala stepped from the Heavens and walked at once outside of the world, back to the Wonders Yet Unknown. There, she asked gentle permission to be seated upon the earth. She took an Old Bone and upon it's surface bequeathed a humble invitation for the God of the Wild to come to Wanderhome so that he may talk to her.
Herrak
"Mum, if you want in on this too, then just say so, I'll kindly let you" Herrak said to Cryala
"I never killed the babes. I stole them. There's a difference. They're alive and well, being raised in the Forest. Some of them might become Fey of a sort themselves someday."
Ishtar looked down upon the mortal world and was filled with sadness. because the mortals where splitting and their lives where under the shadow of death, it hadn't yet reached his children, but i may soon. perhaps it where time to use the power of the soul stone. even through he didn't like it as it would slow the cleansing of the mortal spirits he deemed it necessary. so he let out a song of power that would channel the soul stone's energies through him, thus strengthening him.

"Ah, I see" The hungerer says "Either way, however, mother wants to talk to you. But the offer still stands, lord of the hunt, if you wish to join me. May your hunts lead to bounty" . He then returned to the limbo, in a crimson cloud much like he came from.
Yen: The Midnight Carnival
Yen smiled slightly as he phased into the Astral Plane, staring down on the world, its land mass's huddling togather with only several of the other gods works laying outside that which the Grand Creator had made. A smile crept on his features.
"Oh Moon. You have given me an idea"
Ru'Tai: The Emerald Crown
Ru'Tai remained before the council, awaiting their judgement
The Ice Floe
The city one the Ice Floe had been finished, the harsh weather slaying a large number of the shikigami that had landed. Scouts had reported the place barren, but the outpost remained.
Secondary House: En' Lands
In each city the disease had taken hold, the once slum like regions of the Shikigami had grown into bustling centers of trade and commerce. Any young En' would be accepted into their families as pages and errand runners, and taught the art of the Swordsage. The house was known as "Single Sword Strike" school.
Lerios, Somewhere
Looking down on the world, Lerios smiled at the antics god of the Wild. Suddenly, an idea struck him. He took one of the feral beasts of the wilderness, a wolf. He had, of course, dealt with such creatures having created the Lycanthropes, and so he drew all the savage bloodlust they had felt before mastering themselves, and tore open the wolf, allowing it to be fed on the emotion. He gave the curse of Lycanthropy, giving it the intelligence of men... and more. He gifted this creature with powers beyond any of the mortals on the planet. He named this creature Lerido. he liked that name. He would bring chaos to this god who so wished to trouble others.
Doing all this, he flung the Wolf, streaking down like a meteor in the night when the Moon was full, and the wolves howled their praise to his might, into the midst of the Fey of the Great Forest. He watched, smiling, waiting.
The Council of Nine
The council considered, and then rejoined.
"If we do this, and open ourselves to trade with the rest of the world, what promise have we that we will not become reliant on trade from the outside? We pride ourselves on our ability to take care of ourselves, but if we do this, how much longer will that really be true?"
Morning Star, Dragon's Cave
He merely flapped his wings, waiting for the Dragoness to go, and he would follow.

Lerido
Lerido landed with a thud. He shook the dirt from his coat, and watched as trees and stones warped in his near presence. He lifted his head skyward, and let the pain and the anger and the raw chaos leave his lungs, and the howl felt that it traveled the world. He leveled his head. And ran. The hunt was on.
