So is a different person each day going to post in this thread just to point that out, or what?

That would be in keeping with our average Spot scores.

Re: Things You Never Noticed V: Your Familiar
Just noticed this today but in panel 6 of Page 931 (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0931.html) when Laurin teleports, you can see where she has teleported all the way in the background

Re: Things You Never Noticed V: Your Familiar
One of the goblinoids in strip 701 is a different green. Half hobgoblin and half goblin?:smallconfused:

No, no no. It's Psionic Dimension Door. That's a totally different thing.

Re: Things You Never Noticed V: Your Familiar
I just noticed that the frost giant cleric with the axe in #1056 and #1057 has an enchantment of some sort on it. There's a white aura around head of the axe.

By switching between those two pages, I also realized that the panel where Haley gets hit by said frost giant cleric is exactly the same between the two, minus Suggestion-eyes.

That panel is framed on the earlier page in such a way that you cannot see the frost giant's eyes. It could be Rich knew he was going to repeat the panel and drew the swirly eyes early.

Re: Things You Never Noticed V: Your Familiar
In 736 (the gladiator-pit intro strip) I suddenly understood why the Oil Steward has both regular and snake-oil buckets. At first I had taken the snake-oil as a joke about dubious medicine, but then I realized:
The snake-oil, naturally, is for oiling up the lizardfolk gladiators.

Re: Things You Never Noticed V: Your Familiar
Im not sure if you guys have seen this one in one of these threads, but in #692 panel 10 Elan goes to sleep with some cactus spines still in him, however we can tell he defeated his foe because Haley is holding the flower from the cactus.

It even gets a call-back in 905 when Elan says (from off panel) "OW!!! This is just like the cactus fight all over again!"

Re: Things You Never Noticed V: Your Familiar
On strip #18, the chimera is named trigak. On #21 when belkar kills it, all 3 heads say "GAK" Nice joke Giant!
-
Re: Things You Never Noticed V: Your Familiar
The goblin's "Die shorty!" must have blended into the background of the first panel of #111 too well for me. I don't remember it being there and do remember Durkon's "Now who's the short one?" seeming unprovoked by the inexplicably-medium-sized-goblins-to-which-I-was-accustomed.

Re: Things You Never Noticed V: Your Familiar
I have never noticed the inscription Sacrifice Forgotten on Kraagor's death monument thing in 1039
Looking a bit more in this, the crayon version of the tale held no inscription in 0276. Understandably the crayon art style isn't conducive to minute text. I can't post hyperlinks yet, I'm a forum noob
But Lirian lamented upon seeing said monument that he would never be forgotten! Understandably the gates were supposed to be secret but who would write such a cruel thing on a headstone. (Elan was slick the headstone  )
I also love how cheerful the T-Rex looks when he is a little guy, so cute.

Re: Things You Never Noticed V: Your Familiar
Until a reread I never noticed that the wall outside of occupied azure city is graffiti saying "death to humans". http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0510.html
There's probably a better page of it but didn't find it.

The Board FAQ has a brief bit on formatting a reply under Reading and Posting Messages. Assuming you are using a desktop web browser, the reply editor has a bar with five icons of a globe with two chainlinks in front of it (Link, when you hover the mouse pointer over it), an envelope (Email), a globe with a red "X' in front of it (Unlink), a framed picture of a tree (Insert Image) and two frames from a filmstrip (Insert Video). Link would be the one you're after, but failing finding that icon, you can always type the Bulletin Board Code (BB Code) yourself. Replace the following quotation marks with square brackets to change this text into a hyperlink to #276:
There's also a link towards the bottom of the page which shows you the BB Code List.
Bloodfeast the Extreme-inator is a tough little lizard, too.

Re: Things You Never Noticed V: Your Familiar
Pixies can't post links. The forum won't accept them, because they might be spam bots.

Re: Things You Never Noticed V: Your Familiar
Is that new? I don't post often, but I've posted links before.

It's at least a few months old, but relatively new, yes.

It counts as something you never noticed before:smalltongue:

Re: Things You Never Noticed V: Your Familiar
Apologies if this was mentioned before...
These hand spells that V casts are rather peculiar, as they have 5 fingers VS 3 from the characters...
(I believe a hand spell with the OOTS hand style would be quite appropiate from the comical point of view, btw)
-
Re: Things You Never Noticed V: Your Familiar
This one has three fingers plus a thumb. So does this one. This one, too. And yes, the presence of a thumb is unusual. But no-one seems to comment on its presence in the "Bugsby's" spells.
Also, no apologies for things that might have been mentioned before. This thread is for things you never noticed!

Actually, it's not. That strip jokes about interpreting what the thumbs up symbol means in a gladiatorial setting. Nobody questions that it is a thumb.

Elan does, sort of, in the last panel. Or did you not notice that? :smalltongue:
