The Greysky city Thieve's Guild is http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0621.html Apparently publically traded (panel 1)

I think this Girard is pro-/anti-secrecy thing just depend on how much sarcasm you read his line with. Being that that strip is absent all other clues on what tone of voice Girard is taking certainly leaves the situation vague.

The only other option is that Dorukan believes Soon hasn't acted sufficiently apologetic and torn about the whole thing ('you don't even care!'), but that doesn't fit as well or seem quite dramatic enough.

But there's no reason to think that Girard would have a problem with the secrecy in general, only that he's angry about Kraagor. Secrecy, subterfuge, and misdirection are his m.o. anyway, and it would seem very odd if any of the Scribble members didn't think it was best if as few people as possible knew about the gates. What makes sense to believe is that Girard is just angry about Kraagor being forgotten, and blaming Soon for his death in circumstances that they can't share with anyone.

Re: Things you never noticed II: I never noticed the first thread
Just noticed that in the sixth panel, Xykon was prepping to cast a spell that fizzled when Soon stabbed through his head. Wonder what he was gonna cast....

Based off this list, I would guess greater teleport.

Huh. Never noticed he had that spell. Maybe he doesn't (O-Chul said it's somewhat speculative towards the end), but why wouldn't he have used this earlier to get to gates faster? Sure, the gates would be warded, but not the area near them.

Also, minor detail thing :http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0166.html and www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0168.html, Elan's sash switches sides. Rich has come a long way art wise.

Not even greater teleport can move an entire hobgoblin army.

EPIC TELEPORT! can though.

I thought Redcloak and Xykon were leaving the hobgoblins behind. If that's the case, they could be there already.
-
Re: Things you never noticed II: I never noticed the first thread
In fact, if Xykon's clever, he could well have already infiltrated Girard's group. If he sent Tsukiko could very well convince Girard that the paladins he despises have sent agents to seize the gates, and she is trying to stop those agents because she also despises paladins. Which is all technically true, from a certain point of view.

Yes when they move out to Girard's Gate, but not when they were approaching Azure City.

Right, but don't forget they're not leaving until Xykon finds his phylactery. If they find it, and he's taking along only a few people (Redcloak and Tsukiko I know are coming for sure; anyone else?), then yes, he should be able to zap straight to Girard's gate.

The point was in reference to using greater teleport to get to earlier gates, such as the one in Azure City.

He wanted Tsukiko to stock up on powerful, high HD undead so presumably their respective pools of undead are joining them.

I think Xykon is just not in much of a hurry.

Previously, no. But since the whole Darth V fiasco he's putting everything into high gear. Find Phlyactery. Gather small task force (presumably Tsukiko, RC, himself and as much powerful undead as their caster levels would allow). Greater Teleport to Girard's Gate. Its the phlyactery that is holding him up at the moment.

Re: Things you never noticed II: I never noticed the first thread
Vaarsuvius still calls the female Roy "Sir Greenhilt". So it's not just unimportant to V, it seems he/she really doesn't notice the difference.

I never noticed Roy was very hypotensive ....
Or is there a metric/imperial difference here?

No, people have noted before that Roy should technically be dead if his blood pressure is that low. I think Rich fixed it in the published book, not positive offhand though.

When Haley, Celia, and Belkar are escaping Grubwigglar's castle. Belkar's farewell to the Flesh Golems is a shout-out to the wizard of Oz.

Yes they say: pulse rate is 60... blood pressure is 100 over 70.

In Strip #753, Belkar is using Craft: Disturbing Mental Images again.
