Since it first seemed to be odd to me to make Strength the third primary ability of rogues in 5th edition and not Charisma:

It's not. And I don't. I haven't seen Game of Shadows yet.
Re: D&D Demotivators Episode VI: Return of the JPEG
Is the answer yes or know? He does look kinda cuddly.
Re: D&D Demotivators Episode VI: Return of the JPEG
I wouldn't call him classically handsome (though I can't really judge that all that well in men anyway), but he oozes charisma. In steaming puddles.

Nice pictures though
Re: D&D Demotivators Episode VI: Return of the JPEG
That seems to be something everyone forgets however.
Re: D&D Demotivators Episode VI: Return of the JPEG
Everything is possible, if you have a large enough modifier. But having a natural 20 still is neccessary to get the highest result you can possibly get.

Indeed. I've lost count on how many times I've had to point out that that's not the case. (And how many times I've had to show them EXACTLY where in the PBH it is before they believe me.)

Now, I know I'm going to be criticized on this but the success on a nat 20 on skill checks is a variant rule published by WotC for D&D 3.5. I don't use it, but it is RAW. Someone mentioned it along with book name and page number a year or two ago. I checked and was surprised. I think it was one of the core books, but I'm not 100% sure.
The problem is:

Fair enough. But as you said, it's a variant, and I'm fine with variants as long as I know they're being used. It's the "I don't know, but I assume this is what's written in the core book!" - thing that gets me a little bit on edge.
*patiently waits for Tygre to come through and put this thing back on it's rails as he always does.* :p
Re: D&D Demotivators Episode VI: Return of the JPEG
Okay, not that we had the Natural 20 challenge for week (which I think was hilarious), I think we follow this up with:
"Natural 1"
Re: D&D Demotivators Episode VI: Return of the JPEG
