Re: Dungeons and Dreamboats V: Snakes & Cakes
Considering past requests have involved "Ok, like that, but better" going by without anyone even batting an eyelid, dragging this back onto the rails a little. I actually have my own minor request.
I'm looking for a human female, with medium armour (chain mail shirt). Doesn't have to be visible as such, but at least suggested that there is armour under the clothes/cloak, so those ranger leather bikini coconut cleavage tops I seem to see in a lot of archer pictures are right out. :smalltongue:
On that note, a longbow somewhere in the picture would be nice. Everything else is rather fungible so feel free to skip the rest but bonus points for a general tomboy/fighter feel, longsword, and a woodsy feel to the clothing (an earth-tones way, not an animal companion way). Preferably alone in the picture. I suppose to put another way, a vibe of female Strider (lotr); decent armour/coverage and a longbow focus?
Some pictures in the thread that caught my eye while scanning some of the pictures are close, and I might end up drawing my own anyway, but I figured I'd toss the request out just in case people have more in their folders of that sort of character
Gals (A fair few are reposts from this thread that are close to what I was thinking):
Re: Dungeons and Dreamboats V: Snakes & Cakes
Something to soothe the tempers: A sage, philsopher or wizard kinda guy being very peaceful and content (a tad broad this pic, mayhap).

How big of a deal is the magic arrow? Because it looks like photoshopping out the background people and humanizing the ears wouldn't be too hard.
The arrow is tougher because its a light source, so you have to not only replace it with a non-magical arrow, but also remove the effects from the light source. Maybe you could write it off as a magic item?

Oh, it's not really that big of a deal, it's more that doing stuff like that, there are other larger pictures that'd be easier to start from. That, and it was something of an offhand comment to point out some of the things that technically go against what I said in my description but it was nice enough to put in anyway. :smallwink:

A couple of suggestions:
Re: Dungeons and Dreamboats V: Snakes & Cakes

Re: Dungeons and Dreamboats V: Snakes & Cakes
"katana" + "cyberpunk"- how about this one, from D20 Future?
EDIT:
This one's more cyber- but still lacks the trenchcoat unfortunately:
Re: Dungeons and Dreamboats V: Snakes & Cakes
This is the above poster's picture, just putting the actual picture in this thread.
Anyone have a picture of a slightly past his prime scholar? Bonus points for non-magical fantasy stuff.

Re: Dungeons and Dreamboats V: Snakes & Cakes
The intention was a character about middle aged, I could certainly use the fourth one and just say he silvered early though.

That one reminded me of a character design from Fate/Apocrypha - Caster of Red, might work for what you want (and couldn't hurt to post it anyway).
And for those curious about this Heroic Spirit's identity:
Re: Dungeons and Dreamboats V: Snakes & Cakes
This cycled through on my second wallpaper so i thought i'd put it up

Re: Dungeons and Dreamboats V: Snakes & Cakes
I hope this thread isn't so dead that I'm performing unforgivable necromancy here, but I'm looking for a character portrait, and these threads seemed like a great place to get some help.
The character's an archer, but more in the roguish mold than ranger, which has been most of what I've gotten seeking archer pictures. Female, human, shortish red/reddish-brown hair--kind of in the mold of Imoen or Leliana, but my DM would like a pic that's less instantly recognizable, and I'd prefer a darker shade of red than they display. Smiling's a big plus, as is colorful (but otherwise sensible) clothes.

hmmm, this is what I've got that I think might work (though I can find a lot of redheads, and a lot of archers, but very few redhead archers)

So... you want a roguish female archer... with red hair.
Got it.

Admittedly, the hair and/or ears might be a bit longer than you asked for on some of those.
Re: Dungeons and Dreamboats V: Snakes & Cakes
Oh great Denziens of the Playground, I come to you with a humble request. A young human man with red hair, not overly armed or armored (he's a bard, but instruments, while appreciated, are not neccessary).
Re: Dungeons and Dreamboats V: Snakes & Cakes
Do a Google Image Search for "Kvothe." There are lots and lots of great pictures of what you're looking for.
A few examples:
Re: Dungeons and Dreamboats V: Snakes & Cakes
Only one with the shadow-cloak... that's sad. And that picture is not the best, either.
Re: Dungeons and Dreamboats V: Snakes & Cakes
Does anyone possibly have a picture of a dwarven fighter with a polearm?
Bonus points for:
- brown hair and nice beard
- (mithril) full plate
- polearm is a guisarme
- has somewhere a symbol of torm
Thanks!
Re: Dungeons and Dreamboats V: Snakes & Cakes
Is anyone looking for a necromancer/white mage character pic?
Re: Dungeons and Dreamboats V: Snakes & Cakes
It's been over a week and no posts!
DotA 2 (everything except the Windrunner has been posted before):
The best Poison Ivy I've ever seen:
And I decided to post this Supergirl drawing because it reminds me of Buffy for some reason.
Artgerm is absolutely fantastic.
Re: Dungeons and Dreamboats V: Snakes & Cakes
So, requesting pictures that might fit the description of 'desert elf'.
No real gender preference.
I'd prefer pics that'd be usable for a female druid, but more general female spellcaster would work.

Have you by chance seen the picture in Unearthed Arcana? She's wielding a scimitar and is dressed in desert clothing.
Re: Dungeons and Dreamboats V: Snakes & Cakes
I don't have any 3.5 books, just Pathfinder. So no.
In any case, I was looking for spellcaster, and wielding a sword looks like it's not really fitting the bill anyway.

The picture is by the desert elf entry if you want to see it. As far as the sword goes, many druids are depicted with scimitars, and they get proficiency with them.
