I'm shocked they haven't tried to patent it yet.

Re: Australasia in the Playground V
I'm suprised Apple haven't called to complain about it yet :smalltongue:

Re: Australasia in the Playground V
Does anyone know where to get good clothes if one lives in Brisbane? I just want a plain, black coat! Is that so much to ask for?
I mean... I know places to get jewellery made and belts and other leather items made. I can get all manner of nice shirts, pants and ties if I look. My Mum can knit me a scarf, maybe a vest, if I ask nicely, I just need to find a shop that sells the colours of wool I want.
But no! Not a single coat! Am I doomed to boring clothes for the remainder of my existence?
This reminds me... I need to get my watch repaired...
Actually... I want two... One that I can get altered to be more fancy, I just need to find somebody who'll be patient when I explain the embroidery I want added.

It doesn't actually say that. It does say "everything on this planet" earlier, but the question was "Do you know where we are?" not "Do you know which planet we are on?"

I think confused kitty is a fairly accurate representation of what my face looked like  I was too busy trying to figure out what movie the images must have come from to just scroll down and read the whole thing.

State of Origin again.
We won't mock you southerners too much after we win.

Be careful you don't make too bold a claim. We're currently down 14-NIL at half time.

But I simply extrapolated from the graphs! Surely the data can't be wrong?
And anyway... It's only the first half of the first game. Anything could happen.
I'm completely oblivious to what's actually happening because I'm not watching it.

NSW did not score again in the second half, but we did. Final score 14-6. Still, it's the first of three, and that was their home turf.

Hmm... I predict a victory for us in the next game.

Leaving Australia today to go back to Blighty. Serpentine has been a magnificent host and accompanied me on loads of excursions. Quite exhausted from it all.

Re: Australasia in the Playground V
Killing Floor is free for this week (until the ~11th)!!! And 80% off if you want it forever until the same time (I suggest getting the bundle, if you can afford it, it includes new weapons that are actually worthwhile).
They've also introduced a new objective based mode, a new map (two if you count the fact that theres a normal and objective version), and are running a special summer event until the 23rd!
Complete the summer achievements to unlock a steampunk version of the game's second female character, Steampunk Mrs. Foster.
Come, download Killing Floor immediately, then join us all in a game or two!

Re: Australasia in the Playground V
Hey guys, I need help!
I wouldn't normally try to "farm" an achievement like this, but this is a time limited achievement I would like to get while it is available. It is the last of the Summer 2013 achievements and should be *easy* to get, but public servers are full of... less than competent players.
As I've mentioned, there is a new objective based mode, and there's some achievements to go with it. This is the one I need:
Full Charge
Have 5 Breaker Boxes 100% repaired at the same time.
All that is needed is for five players to sit by a box each and weld it at the same time, ignoring damage, on beginner. Then boom, done. The welding takes place in the second round, so it's very quick to get to and do.
Anyone want to help me? I'm also happy to help you all get the achievements necessary to unlock Steampunk Mrs. Foster (a new female character just introduced for this event), of which the above achievement is one, or play a proper game afterwards.

I got the achievement, and unlocked Steampunk Mrs. Foster. But I'm still up for a proper game with people if we can get one going.

If you've been paying any attention to my online rate of steam right now, I'm barely on, and when I am I'm either otherwise predisposed or playing EVE, so doubt I'll be able to get a game of Killing Floor in, although I'm willing to try at some point...maybe...We'll see :P

Re: Australasia in the Playground V
Just thought I'd randomly pop in and ask if anyone else is going to be going to Supanova in Brisbane this year? :smalltongue:
-
Re: Australasia in the Playground V
I'd like to, but it's highly unlikely I'll be able to afford to.
-
Re: Australasia in the Playground V
How much is it so I can budget accordingly? I've decided that I'll go with Mynxae and another friend.
-
Re: Australasia in the Playground V
I have no idea. Let's have a look, shall we...
Nothing definite, but it looks like it'll be about $30 for a day pass and somewhere above ~$50 for the weekend (the others cost about $50, but Brisbane's over 3 days so it'll be more, but it doesn't specify how much more).
