Quinn blinks in surprise. She's never...oh.
"...oh, crap. I'm so sorry!" she gasps, before moving to help Reinholdt back up onto the bed!
She'd completely forgotten about the whole vampire thing...
[Infirmary]
Probably because Reinholdt's kept it a semi-secret and she doesn't know. Don't even think Tobias knows.
"And no, I haven't told To--- t jealous." Reinholdt says, getting back into the bed, but suffering a particularly bad flicker.
[Infirmary]
That would explain it, yes.
"...when did you get a positive energy allergy?" Quinn asks, frowning, and debating raising an antimagic field to stop the flickering. "And I'd only be jealous if you were trying to steal him away."
[Infirmary]
"Just stitch it." Enshadu actively chose not to take the whole leg off, so it'll heal. Rein will need blood of course, but it'll heal.
"And I said... oh nevermind. So you're totally ok with me seducing your husband so long as he comes home to you at night, huh?"
[Infirmary]
"Totally fine with it? Honestly, I'm not too sure about that. But...happiness comes in many forms." And besides, it's not like Rein is a girl. :smalltongue:
Quinn does, however, pull out the biggest set of needles she has as she prepares to do the stiching. :smalleek:
[Infirmary]
"Hmm." Reinholdt grunts, looking at the needles with a sigh.
Well for a second. Then Rein's just not there at all.
[Infirmary]
Quinn proceeds to nearly stab the bed with the needles as Rein vanishes right out from under her as she starts the procedure.
"...dangit, get back here!"
[Infirmary]
Reinholdt does indeed re-appear. About 30 seconds later. Not that he heard Quinn or anything.
[Infirmary]
"...now please try not to do that while I'm doing this. It could end...poorly."
And Quinn carefully sets about stiching.
She's...actually pretty decent at it.
[Infirmary]
"I'm honestly trying to control it the best I can." It's just that Rein's personal time/space is starting to unravel, he injected himself with nanobots that may or may not still be in there, and get serious leg injuries. There's only so much he can do about it now.
[Infirmary]
"Well, don't say I didn't warn you if you get an unexpected iron supplement capsule."
Shaking her head, Quinn does her best to get things finished - and treated with antiseptic - before the blink cat blinks again.
[Infirmary]
Reinholdt sticks around long enough, though does still continually flicker through it.
"May have injected myself with robots too." >>
[Infirmary]
"...oh, now you tell me." Quinn sighs. "Are these the robots that will kill you if they're deactivated?"
[Infirmary]
Reinholdt looks uncertain. "Ummm... probably n-" And Rein's gone again.
[Lakeside]
One Reinholdt is laying on the bank edge. "Hell..."
Infirmary
Quinn sighs, shaking her head, grabbing a magnet, and stepping out of the Infirmary.
In Search Of: FHR.
Marty frowns. It was worth a try. Um...M-Marty actually. M-My name is M-Marty. My legs is a-attached, s-so tha-Ahg! Hr recoils a bit as she touches him, his skin rather cold to the touch, but absent the scars. Save for one large one down his arm, very deep. The rest have faded. I'm...Kt...t-that's n-not...
[Campsite]
Zimrethel balks at that gesture and quickly moves to stand Yuki upright. "Hey hey hey, none of that now. No venerating, worshiping, or otherwise bowing to any members of the Host. That's strictly a Fallen thing and I don't feel like getting mixed up with them."
Bad enough that the seraph looks all dragony and on fire to begin with. Makes a lot of people who don't know better assume that he's a demon of some kind or what have you.
"Anyway, my buddies and I will be back in town next week. Just keep an eye on Trog's and you might run into us again. Peace to you, Yuki!"
And with that the celestial ascends into the heavens like a bolt of lightning!
Woosh!
Infirmary
"I'm no mister. I'm just Mackerel, the ship's boy, son of the cook and a deckhand. Only the quartermaster, head wizard and captain are misters on a ship." He's quite determined to stick to as many of his traditions and cultural unusualities as possible.
Forest
"Hi Kor---aaagh!" Darcy's greeting is interrupted by
*bear noises*
yes, yes, those. Because a bear just landed on her and tackled her to the ground! Fortunately for Darcy, it's only a cub. Unfortunately, it's still a pretty big cub, and it's tearing into Darcy's backpack to find food.
[Campsite]
"Oh OK, sorry. Goodbye."
She waves goodbye and watches him fly away before turning and starting to wander around the campsite thinking. She occasionally flaps her wings flying up in the air doing a loop or spiraling up in the air. As she plays around more she works on just hovering in the air moving forward slowly.
Infirmary
"I don't know. I try not to think about it, but the deck doesn't move with the waves. I mean, floor. Whatever. I think I'm getting better acquainted with the idea of being on my own." Mackerel seems a bit better; he hasn't cried for several days, but still spends a lot of time reading the books of regulations.
Infirmary
"I was wondering, given your improvements in health, whether you would feel up to taking a walk around the GLoG grounds? It would likely be good for you." Lume also would like to explore a bit for himself; he hasn't had much of an opportunity with his nursing duties.
Infirmary
"OK." Mackerel clambers up out of the bed. "You do know the way, don't you? Shore's a big place, and this is my first visit." Mackerel was born at sea, like most of his ancestors for hundreds of generations.
{Charry Cabin- Vidalia's}
Vidalia smirks as Jamie blushes deeper.
That's what I said, wasn't it? Marty. If not, I'm sorry. Just a little distracted. One of my sentries just died trying to get a message to me. He said someone was coming after him, then... she makes a splatting noise. I was just starting to like him too. she shakes her head sadly, then grins wickedly at the pair. But I left a little present for the bastard who scared him so. When I track down that garnet, he'll wish he'd never messed with me.
Infirmary
"That sounds like a very good idea. I'd hate to get lost." The thing about ships is that few people on board need to be able to navigate- the captain, the wizards, the navigator and the anglers. Mackerel doesn't have any experience identifying which way is North; he was destined to be a deckhand and never do more than defend the deck, load the hold and fix the nets.
Infirmary
"The only problem is that I'm not sure who to ask. Perhaps the estimable Doctor Quinn could assist us."(if you'd be willing to make a plotclone for us, Bushranger.)
Lume's navigational situation is similar - during his training and career, one person did all of the navigating and directly input the information into the minds of the entire unit.
[Around the Grounds]
Claire steps out of a cabin and begins walking around, looking for someone she knows.
