Quicken Mystery would be an example off the top of my head. A vestigial twin would be another. Certain creatures also have the ability to cast spells at a lower action cost.

Is there any Totemist "thingie" that gives Sneak Attack, Sudden Strike or Skirmish (preferably by level 3)?

I'm assuming by "thingie" you mean "ability." No, there is not.

Class features, actually.
So Shapes, and Binds, relevant feats and anything in between as long as Totemist class is relevant part of that.

Q433
Ill soon be reaching a situation where my fighter is grappled by some uber grappler, so in order to survive longer I plan on StonePower for some temp ho, however I'm no sure how it would affect my grapple check overall.
So... Does using Power Attack / Stone Power reduce your grapple checks for that round?

Re: Simple RAW Thread for 3.5 #33: Doesn't everything popular die when 33?
Q434
Edit: Im going to rephrase that as apparently my question was misinterpreted since I missed a word there. I've heard that an ardent can learn powers of a level equal to their ardent level. For example a 9th level ardent could learn 9th level ardents. How does this work.

A single-class Ardent actually has a number of powers known equal to their Ardent level + 1, as shown on Table 1-2 in Complete Psionic.

A445: So long as the spell isn't opposed to his alignment, he can cast all of those spells. TN clerics don't have to worry about alignment conflicts, though casting aligned spells can do funky things to one's alignment if you cast them too much.

Re: Simple RAW Thread for 3.5 #33: Doesn't everything popular die when 33?

Any character can have all four of those spells cast on them at one time.
If you meant to ask if a True Neutral Cleric could cast all of those spells, the answer is yes (provided their deity is also True Neutral).

You can't really be airborne and underwater at the same time. But yes, if you don't have a swim speed, you can use any of your other speeds to determine how fast you can move underwater.
Quote:
If you don’t have a natural swim speed, you can use a move action to swim at up to one-quarter your speed by making an appropriate Swim check.

No such list exists in official material. I can't say whether any unofficial sources have compiled one, but that's outside the scope of RAW anyway.

Q 446
The rules for creating Gestalt Characters have one important limitation:

This is straightforward for many prestige classes, like Ultimate Magus or Cerebremancer, which clearly shoudd be prohibited too. However, it's not so clear-cut for others.
A: Should the Illithid Slayer or Sanctified Mind, which combine progress in a psionic class with full BAB be included in the prohibited classes like the Eldritch Knight?
B: What about Uncanny Trickster (Complete Scoundrel)? It has traits of a rogue-enhancing prestige class, but level 2 and 3 also progress the class features of any other class. Should it be considered a class combination too?
C: And let's not forget the Chameleon, who can pretty much emulate any class. Would it falls in this category too?

The DM decides. Expect table variation.

By RAW, does a class that grants "+1 level to existing class" work for initiator classes?
I'm looking at an initiator with levels in Human Paragon.

A447: If you're talking about legacy champion, uncanny trickster, and bloodlines, it's a definite yes for the first two, and a tentative yes on the latter, though nobody's quite sure how the latter are supposed to work, because bloodlines are really wonky. Of course, they're not really a class, so...
Human paragon gains +1 to casting classes. Initiator classes aren't casting classes. So in that particular case, no.

Q 448, inspired by Games done quick...
If I can see through a keyhole of a door, would I be able to cast summon monster on the other side of it? We have line of sight, but would we be able to get line of effect through the keyhole?

Line of Effect, from SRD:
Quote:
Line of Effect
A line of effect is a straight, unblocked path that indicates what a spell can affect. A line of effect is canceled by a solid barrier. It’s like line of sight for ranged weapons, except that it’s not blocked by fog, darkness, and other factors that limit normal sight.
You must have a clear line of effect to any target that you cast a spell on or to any space in which you wish to create an effect. You must have a clear line of effect to the point of origin of any spell you cast.
A burst, cone, cylinder, or emanation spell affects only an area, creatures, or objects to which it has line of effect from its origin (a spherical burst’s center point, a cone-shaped burst’s starting point, a cylinder’s circle, or an emanation’s point of origin).
An otherwise solid barrier with a hole of at least 1 square foot through it does not block a spell’s line of effect. Such an opening means that the 5-foot length of wall containing the hole is no longer considered a barrier for purposes of a spell’s line of effect.
If the keyhole is big enough, it isnt considered a barrier to your LoE.
-
Re: Simple RAW Thread for 3.5 #33: Doesn't everything popular die when 33?
A 448: No. I refer you to the rules on Line of Effect.
Quote:

Unless you are referring to a non standard keyhole, this isn't possible.

Q449
The Words of Creation feat (BoED) has as one of its effects the ability to double the numerical value of several Bard Songs (e.g. Inspire Courage). It lists several examples. My questions is: is the list illustrative or limiting (can Words of Creation be used with other Bardic Music effects)? For example, could you use it to double the damage from a Stormsinger Thunderstrike?
-
Re: Simple RAW Thread for 3.5 #33: Doesn't everything popular die when 33?
Q450: The DM handbook states that all items bought have the saving throw that assumes the minimum requirement to cast the spell. For example, a 5th level spell requires a 15 in the relevant stat, and the saving throw for a bought scroll assumes the caster who made the item had the bare minimum, because npcs are always assumed to have the bare minimum of everything so that they don't overshadow the pc.
Question is, if somebody with a higher casting stat scribes a scroll (potion, wand, item), will it have a higher saving throw DC? IKn other words, is a spell cast from an item the same as a spell cast from the guy who made the item, and the DM handbook just assumed the minimum, or spells cast from items are inherently weaker, regardless of the caster's power?
-
Re: Simple RAW Thread for 3.5 #33: Doesn't everything popular die when 33?
A 450: No. The creator of a non-staff item can choose to create it at a higher caster level but the save DC is always set to the minimum for the spell.

It then goes on to list Inspire Courage, Inspire Competence, Inspire Greatness and Inspire Heroics. From the wording above, no other Bardic Music effects are doubled. Countersong, Fascinate, Suggestion, Dominate and Song of Freedom are also augmented (but not "doubled"). By RAW, WoC has no effect on abilities not listed.

Q 451
Is there a spell or shield enchantment that allows you to maintain your buckler's shield bonus after attacking with its hand?
-
Re: Simple RAW Thread for 3.5 #33: Doesn't everything popular die when 33?
A 451 Probably not what you are looking for but an animated buckler would effectively achieve this as you are no longer using the hand to wield it.
