[Torr Estate -> Extraction Point]
Once Oliver has cajoled the creature about two thirds of the way to the destination (it gets off track a couple times, wanting to fly down and investigate things), there's a marked change in its behavior. It flies cautiously and completely ignores Oliver, keeping its tail curled combat-ready underneath it rather than strung out behind.
The former museum looks just as desolate as when Oliver was last here. But there's another bag by the fountain. The rest of his pay for a successful mission. If he is extremely observant he'll notice the invisible figure who hired him (or one very similar) perched atop the fountain.
If Oliver takes too long to let go, the serpent twists around to try to throw him off its back. Otherwise it squirms through the broken doorway, fighting its way past the wind that bellows out from the ruined building.

Ghost might want to try a city with an actual police force. :smallsmile:
"You guys work for me now - you're being shanghaied onto our pirate submarine! It'll be great: adventure, alcohol, mortal danger. And as a signing bonus I'll even fix the damage from your hasty augmentation surgeries." She steps over to the thugs, one by one, and extrudes dozens of tarantula legs from her fingertips to whisk through their inflamed flesh, healing and correcting it where they pass. It's an unsettling experience though, like a swimming pool feels when someone dives in.
The pirate tries to pick up the telekinetic with their robot arm. Did we mention they're a cyborg pirate? It's true.
"Except you. I can see you've got powers, so you get something special."
At which point the pirate will unfold into a horrible many-eyed hermit crab monstrosity and swallow that thug whole. Before folding back down to normal.

When Oliver sees this change, he gets a little concerned, but ends up deciding that the creature was just reacting to being in a new place.
He does get off quite quickly, and quietly waves goodbye to the creature as it enters the ruins. It wasn't actually as bad as he thought it would be. He grabs the bag and checks it's all there. Upon seeing that it is, he smiles and looks back and forth.
Unfortunately, Oliver isn't being particularly observant. He assumes the employer is here, but can't see where, so he just says, "Pleasure doing business with you," and starts walking away. If nobody does anything that would make somebody stop walking and turn around, he walks off and out of Inside.

The money's all there. It's in lots of different varieties of coins and bills, tender from across the multiverse, but it adds up to the right amount.
Likewise
Did someone actually say that? Did he imagine it?
It's true though. They appreciate contractors who don't poke their nose where it doesn't belong, don't ask difficult questions like 'what are you going to do with this monster', people who just do their job. They'll remember Oliver.
