It had more frequent use a long time ago, but not so much anymore. Still viable for having...unusual NPC trash talk in family friendly fantasy games. If anyone asks, its referring to the "blight" definition. If they don't, nothing to worry about.

Re: Things You Never Noticed VI: The Undiscovered Detail
Here you can see Redcloak casting divine magic which is later revealed to be Command Undead here.

I beg to differ!

Re: Things You Never Noticed VI: The Undiscovered Detail
I still do not understand, but that is probably for the best.

Actually, that is the ability that all evil aligned clerics get rather than a spell.

The perineum? I Always just assumed it refered to genitals/crotch area in general.

I always thought he just readied some spells in order to get any intruders out...

Yes, the perineum. Its etymology is something like "it ain't **** and it ain't ***". I mean, assuming that it isn't just folk etymology, which it may well be.

Gotcha. I assumed it was just a colloquialism for "naughty bits". Learned something new today.

Re: Things You Never Noticed VI: The Undiscovered Detail
Tarquin claimed that he didn't recognized Z as Nale's mininon and Z was absent during the fight with the red dragon, but "unidentified elf wizard" was in the bounty list. Makes me wonder exactly when Z joined Nale and what and how Tarquin knew anything about it.

I just noticed Durkon* actually learned the phrase "Thor's Nuts" from the flash back/previous comic (Page 2, Panel 7) but uses in a completely different context. Belkar has a good reason to frown in that last page.

I spelled out the answer; what was unclear about my post? (Other people's wink-wink nudge-nudge aside.)

You ought to try; Mr. Show is the best sketch comedy show America ever came up with.

Re: Things You Never Noticed VI: The Undiscovered Detail
In 408, when Belkar yells "YOU KILLED THE WACKY OLD DUDE WITH THE CAT?!" Roy stops being shocked and glares at him. Never spotted that before.

I, uh... one of the comedy podcasts I listen to had a bit about this where one of the hosts speculated as to whether, say, a wrestler whose shtick was an exposed taint (but not anything else) would be violating those laws.

Between that and the skit, I'm starting to think your comedy tastes are INCREDIBLY specific...

I don't think it's that my tastes are specific, so much as the comedy I like all sort of eventually converges on the horizon, except the horizon is a taint.

Haley comments that she thought it would take at least 100 more strips to get Durkon back.

Well, she wasn't wrong...
-
Re: Things You Never Noticed VI: The Undiscovered Detail
Still, she probably wasn't expecting it to be 273 strips.
877 - 1050

I never noticed the soldier taking Tarquin's helm away in the first panel. http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0912.html

Re: Things You Never Noticed VI: The Undiscovered Detail
At some point after getting to Kraagor's tomb, Redcloak switched from his diamond-shaped ("backup") holy symbol to another circular one. (I guess it's possible that that circular one is Xykon's actual phylactery? But I'd expect him to keep that hidden somewhere.)

he showed up with the back-up, right after it was lost. xykon does say that the best anti-detection spells, etc on it, so it is possible that the best hiding place would be right under everyone's nose.

Dwarves have conveniently new abilities.

I'd imagine that Z joined the LG not long before the beginning of the first book, immediately before Nale left the continent. So Tarquin knew there was an elf, but couldn't find out enough about him before he left his purview.

Even before the vampire takes on all of Durkon's memories and also his accent its starting to become like him, saying "unnerstand" rather than "understand."
