Oh hey, this comic is back! Yay! :smallcool:
Good to see the comic back, was really missing it.
Can't wait to see what crazy shenanigans Nomen and the gang get into.
On a side note: Anyone else think the little Pipe Fire is really cute?
The Fire needs a name, I suggest Pip, because it's from a pipe, huh huh.
So, in-universe, how long did all that take? Somehow I doubt Nomen's going to be fully refreshed by the time he has to duel Casper.
The last page of Chapter 3 has been uploaded, as well as the cove for Chapter 4!
Random nose bleed; that's not good.
Oooooh.... Nomen getting in trouble already. I wonder if all spells have backlashes.
In other news, Adam's Steelrunner looks a lot like bullet bill from Mario.
Woops. Not as easy as it looks then.
Thanks, people.
If not for this thread I wouldn't know the comic was back.
Oh man, if it weren't for this thread I wouldn't know the forums were back. :smalleek:
New page up!
Whew, getting back into the swing of things is pretty difficult. I lost my brushes in a hard drive wipe a while back, but I hope my new way of working is similar enough to the old.
[On the last strip:] Well, this isn't going to end well.
So ...SpoilerI'm guessing there is somehow anima in the water
New page up!
Getting back into the swing of things wasn't as easy as I expected. The going is still slower than I'd like!
Oh nice, Wendy is going to discover her element! Any bets as to which she aligns to? I'm thinking earth is too obvious, even if it fits her colour scheme. Life or Light, perhaps?
I'm actually thinking Life or Darkness. Darkness would be an interesting ability, as there are pretty much no protagonists in any series that have it as their key power, but its description of protection and emotions seems like Wendy, and the Psychosophy might have rattled up a bit more in there than we'd think. Third guess is Wind, fourth is unaligned.
Only a fair bit into the manga, and not as the key power. Having both read part of the manga and double-checked Wikipedia, which goes into Negi's specialities (initially basic magic, but later [spoiler] and [spoiler]), the tactics that Negi begins using later in the manga and finally the part about Darkness at the very end, I can't really agree that Negi fits the description you quoted. Same with the type of fan-fiction you mentioned, power up =/= key power. So, maybe it is a bit scarce?
As for the comic itself, I hope this means we get to know more about the cards, how they are made and why they are so expensive. :3
Yeah, for the entire manga Negi uses Lightning/Wind/Light elements in that order. There is a Shadow element in the setting, but his "Darkness" powerup (which is closer to Yin, really) is unrelated and mostly just improves his control over magical energy rather than doing stuff on its own.
