Re: The Cataclysm (AD&D Ravenloft -> PF1 Conversion) OOC Thread
I prefer to think of it as a big old justifiable homicide axe.

Re: The Cataclysm (AD&D Ravenloft -> PF1 Conversion) OOC Thread
I'm also back online today. Shifting from nights to days isn't fun - lots of fatigue and headaches - but I'm catching up today and hope to stay on top of things better from here on out.

Re: The Cataclysm (AD&D Ravenloft -> PF1 Conversion) OOC Thread
Oh yea, that day to night to day shift is a murder
-
Re: The Cataclysm (AD&D Ravenloft -> PF1 Conversion) OOC Thread
Yeah, I've seen the toll it takes on some of the techs in my department. Hopeful your schedule gets consistent for a while.
Edit:
Well. Rose is going to have a lovely time for the next few days. :smalltongue:

Re: The Cataclysm (AD&D Ravenloft -> PF1 Conversion) OOC Thread
When you say "At the onstage of transformation," what exactly do you mean?
-
Re: The Cataclysm (AD&D Ravenloft -> PF1 Conversion) OOC Thread
Like the moments before they begin to change into a werewolf the first time.

Re: The Cataclysm (AD&D Ravenloft -> PF1 Conversion) OOC Thread

Re: The Cataclysm (AD&D Ravenloft -> PF1 Conversion) OOC Thread
So, there is an event coming up. Which will require a small time skip within the jail. Let me know when you are ready for a time skip, once we have a consensus, ill start the next event.

Re: The Cataclysm (AD&D Ravenloft -> PF1 Conversion) OOC Thread
I'm good with a time skip. Rose just just going to settle in and try to keep everyone calm and comfortable.

You cannot see either of them or make out what they are saying, but the woman's voice nearly charms you with its beauty. Soon the conversation ends as mysteriously as it began.
From across the alley a slender young woman steps from a gap between two buildings and begins cautiously walking down the alley. She wears a hooded cloak that she keeps pulled up to hide her face. She seems frightened, for she constantly looks behind her. There is no sign of the other individual. Suddenly, from out of the darkness, a harsh voice breaks the silence of the night.
"You have defied me for the last time, Akriel!"
The voice snaps. The tone is so ominous and the voice so cruel that the hair on the back of your necks stands up. Evil seems to drift like mist into the alley and wash against you like the stagnant water of a forgotten swamp. Slowly, a man flanked by two pony-sized wolves steps into view. There is a gleam in his eye akin to hunger and the wolves begin to leer at the beautiful young woman. As he steps between your vantage point and the girl, you see him raise a cruel looking whip over his head. With each strike of the lash, she screams in pain and sobs for mercy. Throughout this ordeal, the dark man releases a stream of hissing words at Akriel. Although the majority of it is lost under her screams and protests, the words "change" and "vampire" are discernable.
Whoa...I'm a hair confused, but also concerned.
This alley - how easy would it be to break out of the (apparently barred) window through which we are listening? Are we able to intervene to try and stop this assault? Where are the jail guards? Cheyanne would readily call out for them to investigate the scene and get the town watch to try and stop a brutal attack...
Or is this all a dream?
Also, I think the wolves are not in the jail right now. If we can break out to do something about this fight it is likely better than being stuck inside the jail while things get worse. Is this possible at all?

Re: The Cataclysm (AD&D Ravenloft -> PF1 Conversion) OOC Thread
Gonna echo the questions presented.

Re: The Cataclysm (AD&D Ravenloft -> PF1 Conversion) OOC Thread
1. You don't think its a dream at this moment
2. This scene is occurring outside the jail in an alleyway between the jail building and the adjacent buildings.
3. You are able to partially see this scene through barred windows. If you wanted to Bend the bars to escape it would be a DC 22 Strength check.
Spoiler: akla
Show
Akla, you being small notice all the bars are intended for medium sized creatures. You figure you might be able to squeeze through on your own [DC15 escape artist] or [DC20 Acrobatics]
4. The guards are sound asleep in the neighboring cell, snoring and resting away the wounds from today.
5. You have the option of screaming at the assaulted.
6. The wolves are most definitely not in the jail. The man with the whip and the large wolves are outside the window, and in-between you and the girl. You cannot see his face at this time as his back is to you.
7. If you choose to escape via magic, brute force, etc, you may choose to intervene.

1. Bummer
2. Time to make a break for it...
3. Cheyanne only has a +3 on this - can we use Aid Another to help each other? I'll bet Ted could do this with an assist... Aid Another check: [roll0] vs DC 10.
4. Losers...
5. Too friendly of a response...
6. The were-wolves? This town has a wolf problem...
