[Riverbed]
Not getting crushed seems like a pretty reasonable goal.
Gordon wooshes away again!
Weee!
And the troll slaps itself in the head. Seems upset that there is no squished person up there. At this point the troll is getting pretty irritated and begins to wildly spew that rock/mud slurry everywhere!
The stuff is sprayed with the force of a fire hose and then some.
Which means it would hurt quite a bit to get nailed.

Re: [Nexus] The Hunting Grounds
Riverbank
Gordon tries to grapple more trees to get on the troll's back. This way, it hopefully won't know where he is, and he'll be out of the way of the slurry.
If that works, he'll try to climb and grapple his way back up to the troll's head.

Re: [Nexus] The Hunting Grounds
Desert
For at least a moment or two, Enola has time to think. This spur of the moment, shoot from the hip kind of stuff might work great for Daryl, but Enola worked better when she had a plan.
And her current plan is to get out of this ice.
She cranks up the intensity of the electricity, trying to use the resulting heat to melt it.
And then come the ice spikes. Ouch. Those'll leave a few marks. Hopefully, her heat trick reduces how many get to her.

Finally, she nicks her arm and leaves a blood trail from the entrance to the valley, leading to the ambush site.
She's able to climb high into a tree and get about an hour's rest before the beast awakes.
The creature wakes up and gets to its feet a while after Acacia is does. When it rises from the ground, the huntress will see that it appears to be about three meters tall and extremely bulky. It stands on two legs with very large hooves. Above the legs there is a very wide torso with two arms that reach down to the ground and end in blunt claws. The creature's head looks like a huge boar's with curved tusks. It sniffs at the air, narrows its small, pig-like eyes and begins walking along the blood trail.

Gordon sure is doing a lot of grappling isn't he?
Woosh!
Out of the path of the slurry!
And good thing too. That stuff would have caused some pretty significant harm had it crunched into him.
Okay.
So.
On the troll's head again. Now what?

Re: [Nexus] The Hunting Grounds

Acacia wakes when she hears the beast moving, and stays in her tree perch to watch. Her plan is to wait for it to get entangled in snares before she closes. Even so, the snares aren't likely to pin down such a massive beast for long, so it'll be a challenge. Her best hope is for it to break an ankle in one of the holes she dug, but a twist or sprain (or missing the holes altogether) is more likely.

Re: [Nexus] The Hunting Grounds

Gordon pulls out his shockpistol, and adds the attachment that allows it to act as a railgun. Taking aim, Gordon tries to fire this powerful weapon at the hole the lava cannon created early.
Its a good thing he has dragon-increased strength, or else he couldn't keep his grapple gun out while he fires this. The railgun does have a big of a kick to it.

The beast steps slowly and carefully, so it does not step into any hole. However, it does get caught in the snares. When it finds itself unable to move its legs, it lets out a noice that sounds like something in between a pig's squeal and a bear's roar and begins struggling to get free. It doesn't look like it'll take it long.

That's when Acacia drops out of the tree she's in, holding a spear. Her intention is to let gravity and her weight drive the spear into the beast's head or upper spine.

See, this is why the triplets made sure to get far, far away from the ice-encrusted rocks. By whatever bizarre laws of physics this dragon operates upon, those things were ticking timebombs.
Well clear of the blast radius, the triplets continue to fire! Or at least Alpha and First do, One isn't quite content to just keep taking cheap shots at the dragon from a distance. No, a warrior like this 'Diinuldrum' deserves to be finished off in style.
Drawing his sickle One slashes into his left arm with it, his own blood feeding the weapon's magical properties and increasing his speed as he turns to run directly at the dragon.
Assuming he manages to get there without being frozen solid or forced to turn back in order to avoid the dragon's icy breath, he'll try to dash right over the creature's back and sink his blade into the base of Diinuldrum's neck.
No doubt the dragon's armor is rather thick there, but with his boosted speed also increasing the strength of One's attacks he should be able to pull it off. Force equals mass times acceleration and he's got plenty of that last one.

See!
Now that's how you beat a big nasty monster! By being clever!
The bullet blasts through what remains of the monster's skull and right into its vulnerable brain meats! Take that brain meats!
It gives a low, moaning cry before slooooooowly tipping over.

Gordon should probably jump off.

Re: [Nexus] The Hunting Grounds
Pond
Mateo is a Tenebras vampire whose sire was a particularly deranged archmage in life. As a vampire, he was madder and spent most of his time trying to make vampires better, with mixed results (Mateo can't take the shape of a normal-sized bat, instead is much larger; the bear is instead of gas; Mateo can't dominate anybody). It ended when he accidentally broke the telepathic link enabling him to dominate Mateo. I don't think they need their heart, though they're paralysed if it's impaled with wood.
So Mateo gets up and dives into the pond after her, growing his claws longer in the process. The siren likely has an advantage; Mateo can't see through murky water, though the darkness poses no obstacle, and Mateo's ears are more sensitive but not designed for hearing underwater.
Plains
If the troll's been made of soil and rocks the whole time, Mateo can't take any abilities from it. Elemental creatures lack the biological tissues which Morbit's ability is dependent on.
Sea
Many of the harpoons bounce off, though a few lodge in the great crab's leg joints and one hits the eye-stump dead-on. The crab flinches in rage before diving under the water and continuing its attack from beneath the waterline, where the harpoons and cannonballs are slowed by water resistance and distortion causes the carcinos to appear in the wrong place.

Damon is continuing to be not particularly helpful.
This man plays well with others.
Speaking of playing well with others, this is a lesson that the dragon never really learned properly.
As it rushes past Yolvich's sprint-dive, it gives an annoyed little growl and directs itself into a prompt u-turn.
A moment later and the Hunter may find his rock shattering, his opponent snapping its tail towards it like an oversized whip.
Not a particularly fancy response to prey taking cover, but certainly an effective one, it would think.

Nah. Trolls are made of flesh and blood and organs and stuff. It's just that they turn to stone (or mud, or dirt, or snow, or whatever) when they're slain. They aren't an elemental in the usual sense of the word.
Anywho!
Freddie is heading off!
To...
Ummm...
Somewhere? No idea at this point. Maybe someone will be kind enough to create a monster for these two to kill and/or get killed by?

Riverbanks
Oh right, the bigger they are, the harder they fall.
"Get off the troll, get off the troll."
Gordon runs and jumps off the falling troll, though the landing isn't going to be so good, but at least he won't die when he hits the ground.
Plains
The plains are home to wide number of monster, and not all of them hunt alone. Some come in packs. In this case, a pack of these
lead by this
is out hunting.

Wilderness
What Michicora says makes Trisha fall silent for a while, pondering slowly as she works over her blade. Only a few minutes later, after she's finished her work, does she look back up, a troubled expression on her face. "And am I considered a threat?" She asks bluntly.

The elf doesn't seem to take offense at all, she prefers bluntness before subtlety. "No. Then one of us would have been dead by now" It was pretty obvious to her. She wouldn't sat down to eat food with an prey, that would just be bad manners. Lack of respect.
"What kind of prey do you hunt?" She then asks, not considering pausing.

Re: [Nexus] The Hunting Grounds

Down down down goes the troll!
Its body seems to be coming apart as it falls, too. Decaying into a heap of icy cold mud mixed with decaying vegetable matter.
It smells absolutely terrible...
By the time it hits the ground it lands in a resounding SPLAT as it gooshes foul smelling gunk everywhere!
And mixed in with the gunk?
Are a fair number of gem stones! Bits of living wood filled with veins of opal. Clear sapphire blue crystals. Blobs of mercurial mithril. And lumps of hard greenish black adamantine.
Slain troll is slain!

Re: [Nexus] The Hunting Grounds

Gemstones you say? Well, Gordon likes those things, useful for his creations and magics, plus the whole dragon thing means a bit of instinct for hoarding things.
So Gordon decides to root through the muck for the nice things, through not before getting a gas mask on to help with the stink.

The crab will have a hard time pulling down, because as soon as the harpoons are confirmed hits, several men begin pulling on the chains attached to the harpoons, trying to hoist the crab out of the water. They pull in a rhythmic HEAVE, hand over hand.
The captain begins his order for the next phase of his plan. "Get that chain around the mast and attached to the anchor! Keep pulling yah bilge rats! No slacking!" A few crewmen follow his orders, but if the crab is too strong for the pulling crew they can't be succesful.

Tovpir isn't sure what the man their is going to do, but he fears that he has some other weapon like the dagger. It's still strange to see something that pass his armor so easy. He picks up a bigger stone, just the size of a small car and throws it down from the top aiming at Adir. After all the aiming isn't so good, the pain from the two hits he got take into account.
The size of a small car? Crap, Adir is outmatched. He leaps for cover, dodging the boulder but one of the falling stones catches his leg. The stag shouts in pain, trying to prop himself up on his arms. He looks up toward Tovpir's last known location, drawing his gun.

Yolvich was knocked down by the force of the exploding rock, stunned momentarily. Staggering to his feet, he shook his head, regaining his bearings. Seeing the giant wyvern was busy on the follow through, Yolvich ran over to Under one of the creature's wings, trying to get in a slash at its leg.

Satisfied that the wounds inflected altogether were enough, Ruber tucks away his bloodstained knife and runs, wanting to be a good distance away, just in case the dragon had some other trick up his... sleeve? Scales? Whatever.
Usually he'd be only too happy to stay and inflect additional pain, for revenge over his ruined morph. But the child's skin hadn't meant very much, and it was a dragon after all.

Re: [Nexus] The Hunting Grounds
[Stormy Peak]
"Sss..." Seems this beast is quite the tricky foe to deal with. With a reluctant hiss, Damon draws his sword and runs towards the dragon, the black flames that cover his body quickly spreading along the length of the sword.
As he runs, sword held in one hand, Damon makes a small ball of black fire form in his other hand and throws it in an overarm motion, aiming to hit the dragon's wing ideally. On impact the fire will immediately start to spread rapidly across the creature, which would be rather painful...and will also start to suck in the light and threaten to envelop the dragon in darkness.
If it misses, it'll fizzle out. Damon isn't particularly happy to have to work with this other fellow, but he'll at least be kind enough not to set him on fire.

Anxious at the scent of blood and angry due to its feet being caught in the snares, the beast's instincts don't react quite quickly enough. Acacia's spear buries itself in the razormane's upper back. However, the creature's hide is tough and its muscles strong, so it doesn't penetrate as deeply as Acacia might have hoped. It lets out a pained, furious roar and throws its back backwards, trying to get the pointy thing off.

Re: [Nexus] The Hunting Grounds

Fun fact: pure water doesn't conduct electricity at all. And the melted elemental ice has resulted in a whole lot of pure water in the smallish cavity Enola is stuck in. Which means her lightning stops exactly none of the ice spikes and tons of non-spiky ice that should be crushing her into paste right about now.
Meanwhile!
Stabbed in the base of the neck. Ouch.
A killing blow. Sort of? The dragon was as good as dead to begin with. With a long sigh Diinuldrum slumps forward onto the ground heavily as his body begins to melt, leaving behind only a heap of sapphire scales and an icy skeleton.

The carcinos is pulled out of the water, legs and claws flailing. It will target any crew that get too close with its attacks, clumsily stumbling around to make sure people are too close. It's still small enough to walk on land, or the deck of a ship.
Plains
Morbit will also sneak around towards the dinosaurs, headed particularly for the smallest individual present. Morbit's green colouration means that it might find blending into the grass easier than Freddy, who is also larger.

Acacia was hoping to stay on its back and try to get another good blow in, but its flailing throws her off. She catches hold of a tree branch to avoid being flung to the ground, but it'll take her a moment to climb up and prepare her next attack.

Even though Acacia falls off, the razormane is unable to get the spear off its back. It flails around some more before focusing its attention on the huntress. With a roar, it charges, trying to impale her with its tusks or hit her with its paw before she gets onto the branch. The tusks are sharp and the force behind either of the blows will be strong. However, the flailing before the attack might give Acacia enough time.

Re: [Nexus] The Hunting Grounds

Well, Enola was more hoping for the heat she was producing to melt the spikes as they formed. At least the ones going for important spots like her head and chest.
She won't worry too much about any spikes going into her arms and legs. Those'll heal easy enough. Her head and chest are a different matter, even in her current form.
