Romeo does however look for the pad Ethan always had on him.
post appearance attack!
The Kakuna mutters compliance, seemingly fine with the arrangememt.
The door is locked; you'll need to find another way im.
Just as your 'dex dings, saying "Ditto" in that robotic voice, the arm stands up on its stump and points a single finger behind you.
Soon enough you arrive at the house, only to see that Paul has already arrived.
The pad is nowhere to be found on the body as you search. As you continue looking, Ethan's eyes open and he sits bolt upright, almost taking you out. His hands go for your throat.
Ethan jumps when the arm starts moving. Without thinking, he dashes for the animate arm attempting to grab it. If he succeeds, he turns around, brandishing the arm as a weapon along with his pistol. If he fails, he tries to position to get to the opposite side of the arm.
'Luna, help me. Scratch it!'

"Swear I'm getting therapy soon!"
He slows down as he sees Paul.
"Hi, making sure. What happened to Hank."
(Would I hear the fight?)
Dex checking to snag the arm.

You stumble past the arm, the stump somehow hopping out of your wingspan. You spin around to see your two foes....
And your gun flies out of your hand, pulled by the magnet on a Magnemite, floating lazily in the air.
"Ethan" takes the blow, but blood doesn't come out. Instead it melts into a pool of pink slime, sliding across the room with suprising dexterity. It seems to be heading for a drain in the floor.
SpoilerYou hear nothing from inside the house.
(On the phone with Romeo, with Sparky propping the phone up on Gerald's shoulder)
"Romeo, what happened? Prove identity by saying what squeezed you in the Psychic Test."
Ethan stares at the mon. They disarmed me. And the ditto warned me about the Magnemite. Note to self: develop gun with non-metallic parts. I don't think they want or trying to hurt me. It might still be a game. Ethan slowly retrieves his pad from his pocket. I'm not trying to hurt you nor your trainer. I just want to talk to her and make sure my friend is ok. Ethan sends a text to everyone -Danger at Copycat's house. Hurry. Careful: Dittos, Jigglypuff, Magnemite, rapid dolls and doppelgangers.- Ethan tries to show he does not mean harm as best he can.
'An Arbok!' Romeo shouts down the phone. 'And it stopped when Sabrina called it off'
Romeo points the pokedex at the pink slime before it vanishes.
'Thanks Luna, you saved me there! Gerald, it was a fake Ethan. So I was right, it is all a game. A strange one, but a game none-the-less.'
Paul motions to Gerald, looking about as ridiculous as you would expect for a fat man wearing a Kakuna headband.
That slag killed him, thanks so much. I wouldn't worry about it out here, but once we get inside you're right, best to be sure. Speaking of, door's locked, Gerald. Come on and let's see if we can find another way in. Or see if either Romeo or Ethan is stil intact enough to come down and open it. I met Copycat once before, a long time back. Sort of a thing the big trainers all did at one point when they were in Saffron. But I think she's a lot crazier than she used to be, which is really saying something because she never was all the way there.
"Just making sure. I have Romeo on the line, so mind calling Ethan?"
He looks at the house.
"Hm. Is it possible to negotiate with her? If so, I might have an idea. We're probably already spotted, anyway."
He goes back to the phone.
"Game? How do you mean. Where are you in the house?"
Problem with negotiating is you have to have something she wants. And what she usually wants is to be the most annoying person on the planet. But sure, might as well give it a shot.
Paul calls up Ethan.
Come on, pick up...hope you're hanging in back there, Hardcase. We'll get you through this latest indignity. And this one right beside us is the guy who is going to introduce you to the nice Joltik I mentioned, you stud you.
Sparky waves from Gerald's shoulder to Hardcase. Seemed nice enough.
"The tool kit's not for show and things break. Alternately, everyone wants a house to not have a boiler burst through it."
It's hard to tell if he's kidding.
Your phone rings, an incoming call coming from Paul. Just then Romeo runs down the stairs, a ring of keys in hand.
"Ethan, let's go!" he shouts, pulling one out that looks like it fits the door. He gets it open and dashes outside, slamming into Paul and Gerald.
"Sorry guys," he mutters. "It's a f*cking madhouse in there!"
A few Pokemon float into the room and you hear your phone call die for some reason. You're trapped, in the basement, with apparently no stairs in the house.
Paul and Gerald
Romeo somehow gets the door open from the inside, slams it open, then dashes outside, slamming into the two of you.
"Sorry guys," he mutters. "It's a f*cking madhouse in there!"
"How's the voltorb I gave you, Romeo?"
"What Voltorb?" he says. "In fact, what Pokemon? Damn Magnemite!" he shouts, seemingly almost in tears. "They grabbed Elly's ball! All that's left is Luna," he says, pulling up the last Pokeball on his belt. "Even got my phone! That had so many women's numbers on it!" he shouts, angry.
"Ethan! Hurry! We need to get the cops or something!"
Keeping a watchful eye on the Ditto-hand and the Magnemite he answers the phone and whispers into the speaker. That's not Romeo. Don't trust him. Proof of who I am: Artemis killed Hank the Pidgey with Aquilla earlier today and Romeo punched her, brawl started and the Enforcer's showed up.
"Honestly, I don't trust either of you. Think I can get things back for you guys by fixing her house in exchange?"
Paul looks at the phone, then at what appears to be the ladykiller of their group.
Romeo, if it really is you, I'll have to get you an autographed picture or something to make up for it. Not free, of course, but at a nice 10% discount.
Paul launches a meaty fist at 'Romeo'.
[roll0] [roll1]
'Calm down Romeo, calm down. It's just a game. We need to calm down and look for the exit.'
He tries to scan the pokemon with the pokedex, thinking he was right and that they were ghosts. He also tries to spot a fake wall or a secret passage or something.
Spoiler[roll0] perception check
The hand starts to morf and change. Where once the Ditto was an arm, it is now a Bastidion, blocking your path.
Romeo rolls with the punch, spiking a small glass sphere as he does so. A cloud of thick smoke surrounds you, obscuring your sight.
The room seems solid; no doors, nothing. But there are small grooves in the duct, maybe you could use those to brace yourself and pull yourself up?
SpoilerSpoilerSTR if you want to.
Ethan stands slowly looking over the Ditto's new found bulk. What is it she wants? he asks to no one in particular.
Paul holds on tighter to Buck's paw, waiting for the smoke to clear.
Let me know if you see anything, Hardcase. Gerald! Stick close, buddy.
Romeo recalls Luna and Elly to their balls, then throws them up if he can. At least they could escape if he couldn't.
Then he starts praying to Mew and tries to climb out.
