More naruto-ism! Still pretty good work. Though in the second panel, I had to do a double take at wendy to realize she was jumping over the stairs.
Another page up!
Hope I'm not spamming too much. If this is kind of unseemly maybe I should wait until people update this page on their own?
Darnit! Cliffhanger!
Listen! Hey, listen!
There were a couple of updates recently and we might learn, what is so special about Adam's farm.
Thanks for the heads up. I'd kinda forgotten about the comic because I didn't see any posts for a while.
Pretty convenient that Wendy's natural Sopher ability is the one she actually wanted in the first place.:smallamused:
new page!

Nomen goes down therabbitwater hole. Will he find an unhinged sombrero-maker?
Whew, new page up!
Back to regularly updating this thread. Art is hard.
Oh my, that is not a good face to see on Nomen. A hilarious one, but not good. ._.
And I quite agree, art is hard. >_<
This was great!
... that face
*snerk* oh you
We're likely looking at a huge wellspring of raw anima. That or some kind of cave of orgies.
Excellent faces on this one.
To interest all of thee, new pages have been up for some time, can we get interest back in to the comic (pardon if this is an against the rule revive, not sure about how that works)
Ah. I did not know. Thanks for bringing this to our attention.
Hadn't noticed that either, yay for new pages! ^_^
Now I'm really curious about what Nomen said, though...
I luckily still had the comics in the more or less regularly checked bookmarks. I hope the updates will stabilise. At any rate, it's good to see the comics back. I wonder, if Elagune is still around the GitP forum. Anyone seen him?
His profile says he hasn't visited since last July (roughly one month after his last post in this thread).
My guess is that Nomen's announcement is that Adam's farm is sitting on top of a large, relatively pure source of Anima -- with the right Sophers, he could make a mint converting it into Thaumacards, possibly at the cost of the area's gear production. This would also explain why Kentucky wants the land -- he knows about (or has suspicions of) the Anima's presence, and wants it for himself. (Incidentally, on page 15 it looks like there's a missing speech bubble: you can see a bit of text in the highlight on Nomen's shoulder, probably asking whether Adam knows of any other Sophers interested in the land.)
Soo... hey guys.
Anyway, updates.
Turned out my last year's graduation project didn't work out and that left me in a slump for about half a year. I felt bad, like really bad. I lost confidence in my work, and hated everything I did. I was in no state to continue with Thaumaturge - my mindset affected everything I did. That combined with a bad break-up meant I lost several months caught up in myself.
Last semester I went back to school for an extra year (full of anxiety about my future), and on a lark took a graphic novel class.
That changed my life.
We went on a class trip to Portland, Oregon, and we talked to some people who work in the industry. Dark Horse editors, Oni Press editors, people who worked on Spiderman and translations and all that stuff...
The crazy thing is... they liked my work! I showed them Bibliography - no Thaumaturge unfortunately, since I don't have a print version - and they were impressed that it was my first attempt. Then I showed them the project I was working on in class, and they told me that it had potential.
That's when I realized that I could go for it. I want to do comics for a living.

Anyway, enough about what's been going on with me in the last couple of months or so. Let's talk about now. I'm working on the new graduation project, and it's going to be a comic. There's a deadline on it (180 pages in 3 months or so) and I've already got about 40 done. That means I've gotta start putting the pedal to the metal.
But that also means that I'm going back to Thaumaturge for real this time as well - doing one comic all the time isn't healthy, and it's nice to have breaks. My goal is to do 1 page of Thaumaturge for every 2 pages of The Midnight Book (that's my graduation project).
Expect updates often from now on! There's no set schedule still, but I'll be putting them on MangaMagazine as I finish them.
Oh, before I forget - here are samples of pages from The Midnight Book.
And, I haven't done this in a while...
New page up!
