I like how LSP's gem(?) was removed for no reason. Nice! Though, I did see the twist coming a mile away:
Spoiler
Show
Billy=Lich wasn't that hard to guess.

Re: What time is it? (Adventure Time Season 3)
That was utterly disappointing. The twist was predictable and the it was too short to actually include anything interesting. At least they played a good episode afterwards.

It's probably one of those episode that needs to be watched with another to realy like it, just like how Daddies Little Monster needed a episode to set up the awsome that happened.

Re: What time is it? (Adventure Time Season 3)
I thought that was a great episode. That scene between Bubblegum and Finn felt really real to me, and I love how they put that surrealistic bonsai gummy bear garden thing right before it. The "twist" was given away pretty early on, and I don't think it was meant to be a surprise to anyone except Finn.

Re: What time is it? (Adventure Time Season 3)
Okay. After about a month of watching at least two episodes a day, I have finally caught up with this show. I love it! And the new season starts next month? Between this, ponies, and watching Korra like I've been meaning to for ages, I'm going to be entertained for a long time.
Re: the last episode:
Spoiler
Show
The Enchirideon required the gems from all the power crowns in Ooo. Ice King's was one of them. Could the others be related and have special powers too? I think it was said that PB's protects her mind from the Lich. She doesn't seem to be too crazy, but she's very good at science. Wonder if that's from the crown.
So if, theoretically, one wanted to create an Adventure Time RP, do you think D&D3.X would be a good system to use? I think there's enough in it, along with homebrew, to recreate pretty much anything in the show.
Although thinking about it, a Maid RPG game set in Ooo might be fun! The Ice King kidnaps a bunch of wacky, randomly rolled princesses, and they have to curry favour with him long enough to find a way to escape. Hmm (begins writing notes).
@CthulhuEatYou: I thought that looked familiar. Nice catch!

Re: What time is it? (Adventure Time Season 3)
Not 3.5, unless you are willing to to base it practically all on fluff. Something with a stunt system, that rewards awesome description, would work better in my opinion.
Also, recent episode, wow, just wow.
I hope after this arc we can get back to some semi-juvenile adventuring though.
It's been getting rather oppressive recently, and while there is certainly a place for that, I don't want it to completely take over the show.

Finn also had his broken flute again at the end, which we haven't seen since the very first episode with the Ice King (not counting the pilot).

You're going to need A LOT of homebrew if you're going to base it on d&d. Maybe Gurps with some relevant hombrew abilities. Depends on your taste.
And, Oh god, I'm glad Marcelines back, the end of Daddy's little Monster where she says somthing along the lines of "Wauw Finn, my dad actually likes you. We can't be friends anymore" is so much more scary when she then doesn't appear for 20 episodes, haha xD

Re: What time is it? (Adventure Time Season 3)
What time is it? It's Crackpot Theory Time!
So a few things we know... Ooo is a post-apocalyptic earth. The Enchiridion and Ice King's crown (and logically every other gem that was used to open the portal) predate whatever turned Earth into Ooo. The Lich knows quite a bit about the Enchiridion and what it's capable of.
So maybe the Lich predates Ooo. Maybe the Lich caused whatever turned Earth into Ooo. Maybe he used the Enchiridion in the past before Billy was around to stop him.

Well, I know from the comic (worth reading if you like the show), that Ooo's giant hole is caused by a Bag of Holding (I LOVE THE CREATORS OF ADVENTURE TIME), and was originally Desert Land, well, the Lich at some point uses this to resurrect himself (god knows how), so he probably at least pre-dates the hole. Also the cross-dimension thingy, it's entirely possible he's not from the "material plane" at all (and may be summoned by the Enchiridion.)

Maybe Billy was the Lich all along . . .

Re: What time is it? (Adventure Time Season 3)
The Lich is a Giant, so is Billy. Maybe their bros?
I don't count the comic as cannon (Unless the creators say it is then I will grudgingly do so).

This
So basically yes, but, maybe no if somthing doesn't fit perfectly, but they work together, so can't say for sure if it'll ever happen (which I don't hope, because the comic is Mathmatical). Which means; so far it is all canon.
That may have been the single most confusing sentence I've ever created :smalleek:

Re: What time is it? (Adventure Time Season 3)
Aw man. I didn't like the hole in Ooo being fixed.
It just served as a good reminder of the sinister aspects. It becoming "Desert land" just kinda makes me meh.

Eh, it's just like Star Wars canon.

If it helps, disregard it's existence. But it's really worth a read, its like the show, just with continuity and longer sequences.

Actualy, Pathfinder would be better, but another system would be best.
I mean, look at the Ice King. From a DnD standpoint, he's pretty powerful. Uses spells like a sorcerer, the ability to caste spells that leave ice that has a DR though the roof, and can fly as a standered action. For sanitys sake, lets say Gunter (the evil one) is another charecter as apposed to a familer or companion. He has access to a wide range of magical items, and has some connection and information about a whole 'notha plane of existance.
However, he has a wisdom score lower than most animated objects and his fifteen or so levels in your magic using class of choice can be removed by knocking off his crown. Thats just the tip of the metaphorical iceburg.
.......
Actualy, GURP's might work. The point system works better when it comes to building the cast, and one could build a equaly magical and tech-based happy little monster-filled land with the splats.

Could have sworn that Billy was a Half-giant......
Which, of course, just creates more questions....

Re: What time is it? (Adventure Time Season 3)
Jake's dream = hilarious... and awesome
Car-Jake = awesome
The length and disgustingness of LSP's power gem = hilarious... and awesome
Princess Bubblegum's twisted experiments = awesome
Billy = awesome, even if it wasn't him
Speaking of LSP's power gem, anybody else notice that when they dumped all the gems onto the Enchiridion and it sucked them all in, LSP's star gem just sort of fell off to the side and wasn't part of powering up the book? Significant, methinks. Maybe LSP isn't a real princess!
EDIT: Also, are we ever going to make a new thread? I mean, this one was made for season 3, and now season 4 is over. At the very least, rename the thread (just remove "season 3" from title) if we're not going to make a new thread.

Yeah xD
Well, she's really the only one without a crown at all xD
