Singing Noodle?
Although, it would be interesting if it could only burn when you were afraid of it.
But then it would be more of a tricky illusion, when it was established as a natural phenomenon.

Re: [Nexus] OOC 37: What Goes Here Again?
His original name was singingnoodle. Thus, he is often known as Noodlehat.
-
Re: [Nexus] OOC 37: What Goes Here Again?
Especially since there are two PCs named "The Hatter" and "The Hatteress", who were the defaults people thought of then when the name 'Hatter' was mentioned. I think perhaps now that Hatter the player has had the name long enough to be everyone's top mental google result.

Re: [Nexus] OOC 37: What Goes Here Again?
Speaking of Hatter, it's your turn in Trog's. Juuust reminding you.

Re: [Nexus] OOC 37: What Goes Here Again?
Pretty sure it's Orchestra's turn, actually, I'd prefer we not skip him.

I'm so terrible at remembering turn order I can't even stand it. Sorry.

Exactly. I'll wait for him. Let's organize a posting order?
Noodlehat?

Your image doesn't work. My best guess is the URL is far too long.

Re: [Nexus] OOC 37: What Goes Here Again?
Yes, you are. I'll post when I have a chance, but I've got theater practice today.

Yup, it's fine. That whole thing got really complicated, really fast. :smalleek:

Re: [Nexus] OOC 37: What Goes Here Again?
There are only 4 players in the space station scene - Magtok, Happy, Third, and Hatter. Nothing like the Trog's scene.

Mhm, just big stuff. Space stations and explosions and mega-robots. :smalltongue:
-
Re: [Nexus] OOC 37: What Goes Here Again?
Nora Pascal: "I am NOT a mega-robot!" :smallannoyed:
Me: He's not talking about you, Nora.
Nora: "I'm not a space station either."

Re: [Nexus] OOC 37: What Goes Here Again?
Hi
I just found the Nexus threads while looking around the forum, and I thought it looked really cool, so here's my character:
Spoiler
Show
Shadow is a strange being made entirely of living shadow. He can shapeshift, and add colour to his appearance, but maintaining colour or a shape other than his default featureless humanoid takes a lot of willpower. He is very strong and fast, but has a hard time interacting with the physical world, as he has to concentrate very hard to make himself solid.
*DOUBLE EDIT*
Re-editing this bit again: as he is only solid while concentrating, when not applying willpower he is only semi-solid; he weighs almost nothing and can pass through some materials, but he can still be hurt by powerful blows and dense material will still block him.
Is this OK? Also, where's a good thread for a beginner to start on?
Thanks in advance

Hm, Trog's, Dancing Fox Inn, Black Dragon's Den. All taverns. If you'd like a roleplaying partner to start you off, I wouldn't mind. Welcome!

A good thread to start with is Trog's Tavern, even though it's cliche. OR the Dancing Fox Inn, or Inside.
Might want to think about what Shadow thinks and does, in addition to what his nature is. You don't need anyone else to approve your character though.
(Also your signature might be too tall?)

Thanks, Mad Hatter. I'll take a look at those next time I'm on, but I have to go for now. As to the offer of an RP partner, how would that work exactly?
Bye for now

Re: [Nexus] OOC 37: What Goes Here Again?
Hi hi, welcome to the Nexus! I'm the official* "Person Whose Signature Link Has The Newbie Links" so you can find the newbie links in my signature! Convenient, eh?
* Officialdom void where prohibited. May contain nuts.

Re: [Nexus] OOC 37: What Goes Here Again?
Thanks
Unfortunately, my antivirus software is highly neurotic and won't let me on any of the external links (it doesn't like bit.ly etc.)

Re: [Nexus] OOC 37: What Goes Here Again?
Oooh, I never thought of that, when I was doing the link shortening. I'll just edit my sig so the newbie links are the actual giantitp.com links.
Aaaaand, done. For your convenience, upon your return.

Reposting this, because posting it when Earl's not going to be on for hours was a pretty bad idea on my part.

Re: [Nexus] OOC 37: What Goes Here Again?
Thank you for reposting it! I'd missed it. I'll go post, then.

Re: [Nexus] OOC 37: What Goes Here Again?
Deadtime now. Goodnight, sleep tight and don't let the Ushi-oni bite.
-
Re: [Nexus] OOC 37: What Goes Here Again?
* Pokes Rotting Baron * to Trog's
Then I think the order should be
Lord Deathkeeper
Recaiden
McBish
OrchestraHc
The Mad Hatter
Right?
Oh that's not quite as complicated as I thought, although it is more complicated than I had planned.

I'm more worried about it goring me to death. Good night!

Fair enough. Here we are:
*EDIT*
I've collated the new bit with the old bit, so here's a full character description:
Spoiler
Show

He is confident and self-assured, but hardly ever speaks. He only communicates vocally when alone with those he trusts, preferring to let others do the talking when in company. He is generally peaceful, preferring to let attacks pass through his quasi-real substance, but will fight when on an important mission. He doesn't rise to insults, but will always defend his friends.

Re: [Nexus] OOC 37: What Goes Here Again?
Working on throwing together a new character, specifically a reasonably normal (tank-grown, and extraordinarily long lived, but otherwise with no particular oddities) human, as I want to try both that and actually limiting someone's resources.
Would anyone be up for, say, throwing a small gang at him in the Red Zone, or something along those lines?

You know what, DEB, after some careful consideration, I wouldn't mind having Trissy'lene meet Marty again. I was thinking more about how Marty would react, and perhaps, if you'd like to actually try it, we could see what happens. Muahaahahaha!
