...That gas has a pretty similar color to the Stormfallen.
Let's hope that's just a coincidence oh who am I kidding.

... what, you really think so?
Cat's *right there*, we can tell it's two vastly different colors

It's not a bad inference. We know one of the most powerful Stormfallen is interested in this place. Maybe the mountain is connected to the Stormfallen in some way.

Re: Cursed of Course II: The Second Thread
Well I didn’t expect to see an “owo” this soon today.

Re: Cursed of Course II: The Second Thread
Curious what the blue mist will do to them. Good characterization of the brother, who obviously cares less about the guard than for his own (and his family's) safety.
-
Re: Cursed of Course II: The Second Thread
Heh. Small mountain, few comfortable caves, as it would seem. Judging by footprints being still there and visible from afar, A. and Tavi can't be too far either.
Edit: Also, whatever happened to bearded guard guy?

Re: Cursed of Course II: The Second Thread
I love how Cat was the one who actually got it right.
-
Re: Cursed of Course II: The Second Thread
Pretty cool! I wonder if the vision will turn nightmarish or anything, or if it'll just be surprise pleasantry.
-
Re: Cursed of Course II: The Second Thread
Well, look at that! Beard guy still exists, Cat is happy, everyone else continues to be themselves and it's probably a trap. (Or not. But it's not like Cat's never been far too enthusiastic about the wrong thing before.)

Re: Cursed of Course II: The Second Thread
It's possible the storm or cloud is just some remnant of former, more powerful entity and sometimes manifests malevolently (hence why brother ran away), but sometimes benevolently.

Maybe that's what happens when the stormfallen die. They join the gestalt storm entity on the mountain.

Re: Cursed of Course II: The Second Thread
I mean, the boulder could have been carried somewhere too.

Yeah, this stuff is totally related to whatever turned Pellan into a fashion model.

Re: Cursed of Course II: The Second Thread
Oo. Is this entity the mist itself?

Re: Cursed of Course II: The Second Thread
I'm digging the new fire sword design. There's something weirdly epic about watching the heat flow up the blade.

Re: Cursed of Course II: The Second Thread
I mean, it's a flaming sword.

I agree with Crystalwind. The way I imagine flaming swords is the heat coming from the outside in. Like, the sword's had oil poured over it and then it's lit on fire. This is the inverse, which is pretty neat. (And probably has structural consequences for the sword.)

Yeah. That sword cut through Pellan's sword like butter, so clearly it's magical in some way.

Mhm.
Also, when I said "it's a flaming sword" I meant more "it's a flaming sword, of course it's cool".

I think flaming swords are in fact usually quite warm.
