Then why, when we say 'I'm going to write a book', do we use our computers to do so? Writing is a complicated process, and doesn't, I think, have to involve any actual writing. Unless you write your notes out. I know people who do that.

I'm Pestilence, I'm Nurgle, and as such the Goddess of disease.
@Dessie: While that is writing, what shows up is not written, but typed.

Heh. :smallamused: I can probably work that into my fantasy ship-fic. Just have to figure out how to fit such a character into the narrative...

Do you have any idea how har it is to get ones' Holy Title changed or amended? Holy beaurocracy is infinitely worse than civil, mortal beaurocaracy is the Immortals such as the gods and goddesses are not hinered by time.
Basically, Curly is Goddess of the Written (and Typed) Word, but the bracketed bit is unofficaial and will take at least another seventy years just to get through to the office of those in charge of Title Amendments.
Shame really.
-
Re: Cristo's Consistently Confusing and Constantly Casual Random Banter #105
Curly seems to forget that I'm the leader of the Holy Title Council, which does not allow court interference by anyone but the people who's portfolio is getting intruded upon by changes in Holy Titles.
Sorry, lass, yer out of luck.

Re: Cristo's Consistently Confusing and Constantly Casual Random Banter #105
My mood right now can best be summed up as: "Give me the @#*&ing DVD!"
Alternatively, "I think someone bought me the Cloverfield DVD for my birthday"
God I have no patience.

Re: Cristo's Consistently Confusing and Constantly Casual Random Banter #105
Well, if ye want to be very specific about it, we could say that, technically, Typed words fall under two categories. Electronic, in which said typed words are a whole bunch of little ones and zeros, and printed, in which said words have been put onto a sheet of paper and are no longer electronic. And let's not even mention mechanical typewriters. Anyways, that's beside the point. I found a definition, you see:
"Writing is the representation of language in a textual medium through the use of signs or symbols. It is distinguished from illustration, such as cave drawing and painting, and the recording of language via a non-textual medium such as magnetic tape audio."
Typing produces text. QED, words on computers are written.
In summary: Curly is Goddess of Words that are Read, no matter the medium
Ina is Goddess of Disease and Electronic Devices
Destro is God of Trout and Undeath, and also currently channeling the God of Technicalities :smalltongue:
TwoBitWriter is the Dark God of Reality TV, and is personally responsible for a large number of people who no longer have social lives.
Now who wants to start a thread about this where people can write up their own portfolios? I think that could be fun.
EDIT: How's that, TBW?

Blackadder aside, it's Hell. They just spell it wrong on the signs.
I claim the title God of Maths and Logic.

Re: Cristo's Consistently Confusing and Constantly Casual Random Banter #105
P_Z might contest the Maths part of that when he shows up, y'know. I'll just nip off and make a list of these then, shall I? I'd repost it here, but the other four are only three posts above this one, so...

I'm sure he will. That gives us some interesting mythology right there.

Brilliant. Inter-pantheon conflict, I love it already. Only thing now is to decide where to stick the thread for this.

Goddess of Pieomancy and Shadow here. All hail the shadow demons of PIE!

May I claim deific ownership of reservation, egotistical imagination and anonymity?

I'm the goddess of...of...of curly hair and cranberry sauce. :smalltongue:

Re: Cristo's Consistently Confusing and Constantly Casual Random Banter #105
God of eccentricity, mild depression and slight awkwardness.
And this is after I re-think it several times.:smalltongue:

It'd prolly be best in SMBG.
And I've been Goddess of my stuff since forever. I've even been immortalised in story. :smallwink:

Re: Cristo's Consistently Confusing and Constantly Casual Random Banter #105
God of emotion right here. *waves* Other ideas for additions to my portfolio are welcome.
Anyhows, can I suggest we actually add this to Town? And become worshippable gods, in it?
Anyhows, Dead Set rocked.

Cloverfield! Yay! Great movie! I watched it just the other night! It feels more real if you're playing it like a home movie.

Eh; the Llama's a god there. Or was it Exy? One of them. Maybe both.
And Dead Set did indeed, rock. My sister was terrified and actually slammed her music on Very Very Loud during the part with the policeman and the part with the lady becoming a zombie.
Coward.
I had good fun watching it, even with the paranoid cop. Oh, she was afraid then too. Especially when he shot that guy.
Total wimp, Little Sister is, and she's seen many gory horror films without flinching too. Don't know why this got to her. Maybe it as the small budget and hand held cameras.

Hm. Emotion's taken, eh? Oh well. New portfolio is here, I am the god of time. I think that works nicely.
And, the frickin' cop ruined it all for a good few seconds. Only a few, though.
-
Re: Cristo's Consistently Confusing and Constantly Casual Random Banter #105
The paranoid one or the bit one?
I also really want to know where they got those guns from. I mean, they look like local constabulary right? So where'd those guns come from? Couldn't have confiscated them or they'd been sent to New Scotland yard or something. And even though it is London, I doubt pre - zombie London was dangerous enough to require those guns.
Prolly stole 'em. Stupid paranoid coppers. As if you can't tell the difference between a zombie and a normalite.
And then there was that question about 'where've you been? 'A'n't you seen it on telly?' when he knew that at least one of them was in the BB house.
-
Re: Cristo's Consistently Confusing and Constantly Casual Random Banter #105
Oh, no. London cops have those guns, Koorly m'dear. Oh, yes they do. One of the scarier things about the capital.

Oh Jesus I was just sitting here eating pizza with my clothes off and I glopped sauce into the chemical burns all over my thighs
and the pizza sauce was the same color as the burn and it disappeared and was disgusting.
If I have to be grossed out by this, so do you. :smallyuk:
