Wow, I think I just had the best sandwich ever. Basically, it was a huge sub crammed with fries, meat, and curry ketchup. It probably took five years off of my life, but it was so tasty!

That sounds delicious. But you can't say it's the best sandwhich ever. At most it's the best sandwhich you've had in probably a month.
I bring this up because no matter how good something is, there is most likely something better, if only due to tastes and the like. Like I said, this sounds delicious, but to me I'm in love with flatbread, roast beaf, bacon, and melted white cheese, all toasted in Subway's toaster oven.

Nope. It was the best sandwich ever. Keyword was. Something else replaced it moments later.

If there's a place where 'the best sandwich ever' is constantly being beaten by a more delicious sandwich, I want to move there right now. :smalltongue:

Pedantic grammar nazi :smalltongue:
Unless that's what Dragonprime actually intended, of course.

An exact copy of the best sandwich ever, I hope. :smallamused:
Followed by a big bowl of strawberry ice cream. Or something.

Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you The Playground, where we're able to wax philosophical on the subject of sandwiches.
Anyways, yes I totally intended to say that it was replaced by another sandwich. This sandwich being a kebab that I just had, which currently is the greatest sandwich ever.

Ahhh.
...but, aren't kebabs just food on a stick?

No, not in Europe. For some strange reason it's a kind of sandwich thingy. This hemisphere is quite strange.

Exactly. Shish Kebabs are food on a stick. Doner Kebabs are not.

I'm pretty sure this is, and always will be, the greatest sandwich of all time.

Who would win in a fight between the Kurgan (Highlander) and Edward Cullen (Twilight)?

Kurgan, because his actor knows when not to star in a terrible movie.

The Kurgan, of course. On the one side we have a super powered vampire that, far as I know, has never been hurt, but has standard vampire weaknesses. On the other we have a guy that is immortal except for one specific place, and HE MANAGED TO SURVIVE GETTING HIT THERE. The Kurgan is too badass to lose to a guy like that.

Re: Cynical Avocado's Absolutely Admirable Accumulation of Random Bantering #165
Video game themes concert on TV right here, right now. Why should I should I play myself when this is so much more awesome? :smallcool:
EDIT:
Awesomeness is now over... My parents don't want to watch The War, so now I'm stuck with either of two Swedish feelbad movies. In fact, the whole sequence of events carries some humour:
Little brother had zapped over to The War (for those of you who don't know, it's a documentary series about the Allied forces on the western front in WWII) and left the TV. Mum said it was depressing (I myself find it fascinating), so she switched over to some Swedish movie, saying it was much better. Two minutes later I almost literally panic over a mother screaming at her son for trying to talk to her while she's on her phone and mum agrees that this was pretty depressing indeed. "Swedish movie" says dad.
So she switches to another channel, and we immediately get another Swedish movie, this time about two panicking Swedish girls in India. This is too much depression for me, so I leave the room, only to realise I have nowhere to go where I wouldn't either hear the TV at full volume or freeze to death (my own room is kept well ventilated to facilitate sleeping).
The latter movie is over now, but I'm not going back to the TV yet. And both our stationary computers are occupied by my brothers, so I'll sit here with my own tablet in the dining room for a while more...
EDIT2:
Little brother has started running tank names (as well as some other stuff) through that pony name generator, with hillarious and oddly fitting results.

You get ones that are kind of blends of the two here. A chicken kebab will usually have the chicken (and maybe some onions) roast on a metal stick, but it's then pulled off the end of the stick into a naan or pitta bread and a load of veg and sauce added. Rather gorgeous, actually... (and now I want one, great!).

Was it? I only spotted it by doing a search for my forum name and seeing if there was stray bits of posts that I missed somehow. >>
I'm here (on the forums) every day, several times a day. Mostly I just don't have anything I think to say. *shrug* Been busy with real life stuff and such, mainly - work, kids, housework, chatting with peeps and a certain special someone, doing freelance design work and happily engrossed in Battlestar Galactica and now Mad Men. Yay for Netflix! ^_^
