Oh. Well now.
It's practically been requested.
Mister Buttons crouches low, tail twitching more excitedly than usual before he gives a mighty...
*POUNCE*
at Danae intending to pin her under Mister Buttons.
He almost succeeds. Danae, however, had expected this reaction, and teleports a few feet up a the last second. This will probably result in her landing on Mister Buttons' back.
[Grove]
Freddie's shoulders slump a bit.
"Oh... well..."
Hmm...
Now what?
The Huldra begins to poke around the grove, picking a number of various little pretty looking flowers. Some purple, some blue, some yellow... Pretty pretty flowers!
He needs to deliver these to Pathfinder! But that can wait a little while at least.
"Does he know that you walk around?" the Huldra asks.
Kitchen
Well now Mister Buttons is doubly confused. Not only did it not land on the awesome pillow it was going to lick and nuzzle and purr, but something was on his back.
Mister Buttons looks over its shoulder and starts meowrling rather unhappily. It's low right now.
[Grove]
"Um, maybe? I think he knows that I move and sometimes go off somewhere." Their bond is rather close after all. Something like that moving around is bound to be noticed, even by a tree. The dryad, meanwhile, sits herself on the ground against the tree.

Andy is here as well with the little dinosaurs. As Mr Button come in he prepares to protect them with his Lantern ring.
HE just shakes his head while watching the pounce.
Clearing
Mintbalm was actually expecting Kate to walk off, but after a few moments of standing around awkwardly, the pixie will take the hint and vamoose, ringstepping through the mushrooms she set up here.
[Grove]
Hmmm...
This is tricky!
Apparently trees don't understand normal speech...
Have to find creative ways to speak to them it would seem.
The Huldra's ears fold back a little as he ponders.
Oh!
Idea!
"Well. Why don't you ask if he wants to try coming with you? Follow you when you move around?"
Clearing
A few minutes after Mintbalm leaves, Kate will up and leave herself, walking away. She leaves GLoG, avoiding others, and heads home to rest and think; two things that will of course become easier as the pixie energy in her dissipates.
It's never as easy as it seems, of course, but that's not worth worrying about right now.
[Grove]
"Okay." Salix places her head against the trunk for another couple minutes. "Um, I think he kinda said yes. BUt he can't. I guess trees can't walk."
[Grove]
Freddie finishes the picking of wildflowers! These will be perfect examples for Pathfinder. With this information he'll know how to ward the campsite against the forces of Discord!
Hazzah!
No doubt everyone will be much safer without Wights killing them in their sleep or what have you.
Now!
On to other matter.
"Well of course they can't normally," the Huldra laughs. "But I've seen a couple trees that could walk around just fine. We just have to find a... ummm..."
His ears flatten out a little as he tries to recall the right words.
"A druid! If we can find a druid they can teach your tree how to walk. We'll just have to make sure to ask extra nice."
Kitchen
Probably.
Danae decides to follow the cat out.
[Grove]
"A druid? Okay." Salix says. She has no idea what that is, but Freddie seems to know. "Where can we find a druid?"
[Grove]
That's a good question!
Freddie isn't totally sure what a druid is.
When he had asked the one he met they just told him a bunch of hand-wavy stuff about nature. Whatever that is. He's guessing it must be a god of some kind given the way they were talking about it.
However!
He does know where to find one.
And one nearby, too!
"I met one here at Glog. She was in the infirmary when I was trying to eat some ghosts and she threatened me with bodily harm."
That's the best kind of harm!
"But... I think that was just a misunderstanding?"
Hopefully.
[Grove]
"Awesome! Um, not the harm thing. The druid thing." Salix clarifies, though her enthusiasm is no less lessened by the mention that this druid might not be all that friendly. "Do you think we can talk to her soon?"
[Grove]
"Well... I suppose we could go try to find her right now?" Freddie suggests. "Last time I saw here she was in the infirmary. Maybe we could check there first?"
Seems like a reasonable idea!
...
Wonder how Nurse Pepper will react to him...
Or the druid in question for that matter.
Anywho!
"Come on! Let's go there right now!"
And with that he goes bounding off through the forest!
[Grove]
Salix runs after Freddie, as fast as her little legs can carry her. This is so exciting! She can't even imagine what it'd be like if her tree could talk!
{Vidalia's Room}
Oh. He's a big fox-wolf creature. I'm sure you've seen him around. How can you miss a creature perpetually burning blue flames.
And before Butler can dash off, if he was about to, Vidalia tries to grab one Butler's hands. And don't try to throw water on him, or in any other way put the fire out. It's his natural state. Um, it's just natural and not harmful in the least.
Oh no, see. Freddie being on fire is totally harmful. He feels like his insides are on fire at all times. Because they are. Part of the curse, you see.
Devouring souls makes the pain go away for a while.
And on that positive note!
[Grove ==> Infirmary]
Freddie heads to the infirmary!
Will he find the druids he's looking for?
Or will an old man wave a hand in his face and confuse him?
Stay tuned to find out!
[Lakeshore]
"Um...a dad is your father. You know, how a mom and a dad come together and have a baby, and the baby is you and they're your mother and father?" Jamie explains awkwardly!
Freddie and friend might spot the Druid Princess and her feline friend!
[Infirmary]
Meanwhile, Quinn's here, possibly rocking and admiring a sleeping Hadrian. :smalltongue:
Mister Buttons will go to wait by the front door until someone opens it and it can slink out unnoticed! And by unnoticed I mean probably knocking over whoever was coming in or out as it passes by.
{Vidalia's Room}
"Oh, I met him ma'am. At the beach ma'am. He's actually Decker ma'am. But doesn't know it for whatever reason ma'am."
There! Everything's cleared up!
Lakeshore
Keo is quiet and thinks for a bit. Then she goes "oooh!" and nods. "Yeah, yeah, I get it! ...You know who your dad is? Weird. Do most people know who their dads are around here, or do you just know because he is so magical?"
It seems to be that the notion of knowing your father as something that has never occurred to her before.
[Infirmary]
Salix enters the infirmary behind Freddie and looks around for the druid... She has no idea what she's looking for. "Is she here?" The dryad asks Freddie.
[Infirmary]
The Huldra's ears droop a bit as he realizes that the person he's looking for isn't here! What a shame.
Though there is some other lady with a slight family resemblance!
"Umm, excuse me m'lady?" Freddie addresses Quinn. "We're looking for a druid I met here a few days ago. A young woman? We need tome help to teach Salix' tree how to walk."
That sounds like a totally great goal!
Because then said tree will be able to go on adventures!
Maybe?
Or maybe not.
It would be neat either way!
Main Lodge
Danae awakes from computer update deadtime and decides to simply wander. Eventually finding her way to the infirmary.
Infirmary
Danae, an eight year old redheaded girl, wanders into the infirmary and looks around.
"Hello?"
[Infirmary]
If Rebo's memory serves the following people are in the infirmary.
Freddie, currently in his 'natural' form. That would be a wolf-sized blue fox with a back made of gnarled oak bark.
Quinn the Medicine Woman.
And Salix the dryad girl.
This may or may not be before the events that transpired at Trog's with the weird time-warping artifact.
Time shenanigans are strange like that.
"Hello!" the Huldra pipes up. "I don't suppose you're a druid?"
He sounds hopeful!
