It still saddens me we lost the printing press. Hire red shirts.

I'm not sure recruiting will make a difference, what with our lacking Naval Strategy, but we might as well. Thinking ahead to our last 4 class choices, I suggest we train our two remaining lacking magical abilities, so we have 3 100s without having to put on the magical girl outfit. Then we should go for Polearms and Swords one last time, assuming we might be fighting directly sometime soon if they reach the palace.
These aren't our last 4 class choices -- there's stuff after this...
If we survive it.
But I feel the bulk of that is denouement.
Hire more soldiers.
Hire More Soldiers
Hire more troops!
Cowards. We need no extra troops! We are the all-powerful Sorceress-Queen of Novan! This "invasion fleet" is of no more consequence to Us than a buzzing gnat. The world shall watch in awe as We crush them with barely a thought!
Mwahahahahahaha!!!!

"What about Talasse? Can we call on any troops from Sedna?"
Yeah, how about that fiance of ours?
http://i810.photobucket.com/albums/z...er%2041/11.png
Well, darnit.
"You will need to draw up a naval strategy for our troops to carry out."
Uhhhh...Hold up. No one's ever wanted to focus on *naval* strategy!
http://i810.photobucket.com/albums/z...er%2041/12.png
"Unless you think your personal skills will make the difference, I would strongly advise against it."

Welp, this is the biggest choice left to make: how do we face this threat?
Neither of these is 'running away,' exactly... So let me give you a rough sketch.
Leading the Fleet means, well, exactly what it says on the tin. We go out and have us some troubles on the high seas, the exact nature of which will depend on our choices, since this section of the game is very much 'multiple ways to solve a problem.' Kind of a distant thing.
Staying in the Capital turns a large ship-based battle into a solo confrontation with the head of the invasion, the nature of which depends on the choices we make exactly.
We stand, I think, a reasonable chance of surviving either way, provided we don't do suicidal things. We stand a perfect chance of dying if we do suicidal things, of course. I'd call the level of possible lethality on these about equal, given that we have an extra week to prepare skills for Staying in the Capital.
The choice is yours and yours alone.
Neither of them has an effect on our mood, which is now totally neutral, so let's also vote on what to do this weekend, and our classes.
Join the battle! We got all those combat skills for a reason.
I like how we are about to engage in a war and we still have class, that is either dedication (to some basic schooling...) or stupidity.
Our reflex is still below 50 I think which might be a bit low (Completely guessing) and since most checks need 50, I say that and swords (also just below 50 and using the same logic).
Stay in the capitol. It seems like we'd have more applicable skills in this instance, and this will give us an extra week to hone said skills and make preparations.
Direct the battle!
Also, wear the Magical Girl Costume during the battle so that our magic skills get an increase without taking away from our studies elsewhere. Magic might be useful.
Stay in the Capitol
Voting for this will run a little while (especially due to lack of votes about this next class)....
Mainly because Harvest Moon: A New Beginning arrived at my door today. But also because this is an important choice, though I suppose if it doesn't go your way, you can just suicide out of it.
Direct the battle
(I wanna see what chibbi you get for dying at sea)
That said (pretty big spoiler)
SpoilerSince we have two other lumens with us with Lucille and Julliana, shouldn't we be getting a chance at an alternate method to deal with the fleet ? I know there's an achievement/tag thing for it
SpoilerThere is, in fact a magical nuke. But ...
Spoilerit comes with the horrible side effect of unleashing a Kraken on Novan seas which must then be taken care of. You can view the process here.
This actually, thinking on it, strikes me as a good idea. Partially because I think about half of you are having a very different idea of what will happen than what will actually occur...Partially because this option lets me show off a lot of death chibis.Quote:

So Swords and Reflexes then.
Max out our magic skills and Direct the Battle.
Yes, but it also throws away about 10 basically good points.
Alright. Lets do reflexes and military tactics

Let's Play The Price is Right!
Spoiler
Alright, so we're heading out to sea!
We may have the body of a teenage girl, but we have the heart and stomach of a king!
http://i810.photobucket.com/albums/z...er%2041/14.png
"You have your mother's heart."
She also had select organs of a king, apparently.
"There is one more thing. I hesitate to ask, but...
An Invasion..."
http://i810.photobucket.com/albums/z...er%2041/15.png
"If the fleet could be destroyed before they reached our waters, many lives would be saved."
In other words "So you know that power I didn't want you to have in case it killed you? Can you maybe risk your life with it? Kthanx."
http://i810.photobucket.com/albums/z...er%2041/16.png
"I...I'll have to talk to my mentor."
To Julianna, away!
*bat-Elodie screenwipe*
You find the Duchess of Ursul in her guest quarters.
http://i810.photobucket.com/albums/z...er%2041/17.png
That's wonderfully direct!
http://i810.photobucket.com/albums/z...er%2041/18.png
http://i810.photobucket.com/albums/z...er%2041/19.png
In other words...No.
"If you tried to raise that much power yourself, you would die. Not could. Would."
Yowsa. Thanks for the honesty, Julianna.
"So it's hopeless."
"Not necessarily."
http://i810.photobucket.com/albums/z...er%2041/20.png
Yeah, but weren't all the lumens killed, the castle overrun with monsters and deserted?
"If the need is great and the will is true, one lumen may choose to give command of her power to another. Three, perhaps four people working together might have the strength to destroy a fleet."
We'll not be getting person #4 this run, but it's possible.
http://i810.photobucket.com/albums/z...er%2041/21.png
http://i810.photobucket.com/albums/z...er%2041/22.png
http://i810.photobucket.com/albums/z...er%2041/23.png
And...we have one other choice to make in this matter. Do we do it, and run the risk of losing our lives...Or worse, causing the people of Nova to suffer? Or do we try and do what we can as an individual and commander?
After all...Doesn't magic always have a price to pay, sooner or later?
Voting for weekend activity and class can continue on top of this.
