I was under the impression that given the traitorous failure of the tech, I was getting the one-time use of tech in return for the lifetime of trading Qarimos for crops. Perhaps Avr could correct me if I'm wrong? If I'm not, then this isn't expired but completed.

Whatever the details, I didn't see anything stated in your actions confirming the trade. If there was any, you can link it and I'll accept it. Qarimos I believe had it listed within their actions, but it was unconfirmed from you 2 rounds ago.

If anyone is genuinely interested in my contribution to the Blazing Temple thread, the spirit quest is go. The Blazing Avatar ate the spice melange osuro, and we're off to find god.

Oh, and Morph, not only was the Blazing Avatar invited to the World's fair, but the Salterri Imperium was as well.

Well, the spice for crops is out, but the ship trade still has this round. I'll add it to the unconfirmed trades. Make sure when you list trades, that you list what you're giving and what you're getting. Details need to be set so I can update them, and so people know the details of the trade.
Edit: However, if you're voted into the Dawn League, you'll be able to merge trades with Qarimos and any of the other members, so there's that.

The Jewelled Cities is building the base, hence their paying of rent for land.
The building I am creating will house the academy once done. The academy is an institution and thus separate from the buildings built to house it, just as a family is separate from the house they live in. Ashenia knows nothing of sea travel, thus we could not create such an academy, but we do know how to build so we can put up a very ornate roof over the academy's head.
The naval base was wanted mostly as a way to have a small piece of land under my nominal control. Our crews tend to be mostly naked former pirates, so it is for the benefit of the Cree that I can 'bar the gates' so to speak. Not to keep the Crima out, but to keep my folks in.
Ashenia is right on. The Jeweled Cities have been working on an academy for some time, but the Inner Sea Conference showed them how pathetic their buildings were compared to the continentals. Ashenia was gracious enough to spare some of their stonesmiths to create something beautiful.
I don't think it needs to be a Grand Project, but maybe 2 turns (since this turn and next turn I still have to complete the project?)

Plus it has the side benefit of allowing crews from the Jeweled Isles some access to Crima's school system in the meantime while that Naval Academy is being built. Being able to do math and to read your orders is important!
(Assuming that they're willing to put on some clothes, of course. Crima doesn't really have any strict laws against public nudity, but it isn't very common. Cold weather will do that. :smalltongue:)

It's surprising how peaceful the world is now, save maybe those untrustworthy Salterri. Almost too peaceful…

Makes sense I suppose. One wouldn't want to inflict rowdy pirates upon the kind and peaceful KhaterCree.
Personally I'd prefer a great project as it gives me more diplomacy actions which I've found are really hard to think of. In any case, I'm sure they can hold lessons in the finished portions. Plus, having an opening date of the Academy, and a finishing date for the construction means more reasons to party.

The world is as peaceful as it always has been. Which is a lot less peaceful than the real world was at this historical level...

Imports/exports are decided per region, but for use of making technologies, projects or training military units you only need it in one of your regions.

We're still using the original system, yes. The only change is that new players' rulers get two +1s instead of just one, and unrelated rulers of players who change rulers get to distribute attribute scores as they wish and also get that.
I haven't put that in the OP yet because my desktop did not have stable internet until now, which is only because I moved it down 20 feet.

So for the case of food resources and import necessities, I basically need to say which of my regions they're going to, and as such can't export them to other countries? Just asking all this to clarify so I don't make grievous errors later.

I'll have you know sir, that the breaking loose of all heck is disadvantageous to my plans and disruptive of the peaceful and prosperous lives of all Ashenites.

She's technically under house arrest, but no one knows why except for the King, so she'll probably be released upon his death so she can take part in his funerary procession and the associated ritual mourning. A whole year of plain black clothing, and uncombed hair; no jewellery, no feasting, no dancing and no hunting.
Well if that isn't a bit of a situation I don't know what is.

Yes, the new rules apply this round. I havent managed to put them into the op yet, because editing posts on a tablet is a hassle (and if you stop for a while it deletes the changes it seems).
That makes sense.
I hate posting on a tablet for that reason, though mine doesn't do that. It would be just like a tiny PC if I had a keyboard for it I guess.

Re: EMPIRE! A Community World-Building Game II: 2 Quest, 2 Curious
Someone should seriously be in charge of making a post summing up "what happened today" each day.
For example...
, "rules changed: Rulers get stat boosts for force feeding the enemy unpasteurized milk if enemy is lactose intolerant.
Other news: Woodwind exploded into Unitopia, ruled by QuintonBeck"
:smalltongue:

Unfortunately, it's a fairly colossal undertaking.
Sanctuary has a historical summary if you need to look at that, but aside from that you'd probably have to scroll through the actions and Round Opening posts. Morph Bark was going to keep a History of Telluris, but there is a ton happening.
Do you feel behind on anything in particular? I'm sure someone can quickly grab what you need.
EDIT

For the rule changes, Mr Doom's got the FAQ table down. I'm sure I can put together the history thing each round because I have few hobbies. :smallwink:
Mr Doom has also been posting little bits of summaries in the thread for that as well.
Was this along the lines of what you were thinking? I'd format it like my history post but probably without spoilers and with nation or alliance tags. Just important things like 'whatshisface married whatsherface' or 'Sanctuary is trading with Salterri' or 'The Dawn League has formed' or 'The Grand Coalition welcomes a new member, Lyradis.' etc.
Do we have a list of official Alliance acronyms or abbreviations? We have the GC 「Grand Coalition」 and the UN 「Union of the Northwest」.

I have been consistently shortening any thing that lends itself to shortening. Noting official, but the Salterri are the SI, Dawn League DL, and Jewelled Cities JC (Penney).
(Blue is sarcasm round here right?)

My personal list of the alliances are as follows. I'm just curious if there is anything official for any of these, aside from the UN and the GC.
The Silver Pact 「SP」
The Union of the Northwest 「UN」
The Grand Coalition 「GC」
The Dawn League 「DL」
The Triumvirate 「T」
「Yes it is. ;)」

My keyboard is Japanese so it defaults to those for some reason instead of the English brackets. I actually have to scroll through a list of brackets to get to the round ones and I'm a bit too lazy to. So that's why my brackets suddenly changed about... Halfway through last thread.
I'm fairly sure you can set your keyboard settings to Microsoft IME 「Japanese」 and type with them as well.

Re: EMPIRE! A Community World-Building Game II: 2 Quest, 2 Curious
Morph, I sent you a PM but I imagine it got lost, in regards to my trade when I first made a deal with Eyrecradia it was for minerals but that seems to have morphed (no pun intended) into platinum for being too vague. If that's the case then I imagine my import also to be too vague so can I change it? I plan to just make it platinum since that's the whole reason behind it is a trade there but I wanted to make sure.
