The only people I eve knew who had never seen snow were my cousins from Alabama. Then they came to Minnesota in mid-March, and we got record snowfalls just for them. Then we went to Alabama (for Christmas the next year) and it snowed there, which Alabama drivers are really not prepared for.
So... snow. Is good. And I probably haven't gotten enough sleep, so I may be making less sense than usual.

Snow is cold and wet and it gets in my shoes and makes my feet cold and wet.
Snow is bad.
I don't like snow.

I don't like snow.
Snow is pristine and white.
It makes all sorts of ugly things suddenly beautiful.
When walking through snow, I wear boots that keep my feet nice and warm and dry.
Snow is good.
I love snow.

I know that feeling. I haven't been able to gain weight for several years just because I never feel hungry enough to get myself a second serving.

Pfft, I would've said 'LoL' but I've noticed that WoW is more popular, so when I say LoL, they're like 'What's LoL mean..?' :smallsigh:

It's just a DoTA clone. Sure, its the most popular and well known one, but is still DoTA. And theres 2 more DoTAs coming, Blizz and then the ACTUAL DoTA 2. But I dunno if that got canceled or something, I haven't payed attention.

I prefer LoL to DotA any day. It's just simpler for me. /shrugs
And yeah, DotA 2 is still in beta as far as I know (I've got it :smallwink:).

He was adamant though, that it can't be a once off standalone kind of thing, it must have a lasting impact on the plot (and that it did).
This sounds rather interesting, I must watch this. -Goes off to search for "Once More, With Feeling"-

Nah, I wouldn't call it embarrassing. I mean, if I don't get complete silence, complete darkness, perfect shielding against any eventual cold and something to hug, I'm going to have a miserable night. That's just the way it works, so I fail to see why I should be embarrassed about it.
There's at least a month's time before I can expect any snow to fall over here. I'm both living to the south of you and have the Gulf Stream running through my neighbourhood, so my climate is distincly more temperate than yours. :smallwink:
As Coid suggested, can't you tape over the gap? Or fill it up with cotton? Or buy a roll of insulation tape (sort of like a small, soft rubber tube with glue on one side) and tape it around the edge of the window?
Some people just gravitate towards colors. For instance, I've got a fair share of black and red clothing.
Thanks

Depends on where you are and what your definition of "safe" is, really.
I've certainly not died or become violently ill as an immediate consequence of snow consumption in the past.

The photography does not capture the opal's fire very well, which is green, orange, blue, and a few flakes of purple. Opals are another of my favourite stones.
All this talk of folks' favourite gems is pleasing me. In regards to pigeon's blood rubies, I have been very curious about the source of the name before myself: this article is as good as any in explaining that nobody really knows why the Burmese rubies that are highly saturated red with violet overtones are called that [about 3/4 down].
In regards to your other post, *hugs* & are you feeling any better today? If there is one thing I understand well, it is the need to be alone in a quiet place.

Mr. Head's rendition of Sweet Transvestite is so sexy. In fact he is so sexy. I would bite Mr. Head everywhere.
That was a great episode

Do not listen to Dimonite! It is a perilous endeavour. Travellers who get lost in winter without food eat snow to staunch their hunger, but it drives them mad and they become the Wendigo: the wandering insane man-eater. That's science.

No, no no.
That's human flesh, not snow.
Snow turns you into a Sasquatch.

Re: Mynxae's Maliciously Magnificent Random Banter #183
Pretty sure Wendigos are born from cannibalism, not snow eating.

Wendigos are man-eating spirits that possess humans. The scenario I described is one way to get possessed precedented in myth. :P

Snow is just frozen water, it's perfectly safe to eat (effectively drink, as it melts pretty darn quickly :smalltongue:), as long as it hasn't been contaminated (just like rainwater).

Om nom nom snowballs. Actually, there have been times when my brother and I would each break an icicle off the shed, put a snowball on it, and eat it like an ice cream cone. Fun times.

Totally. It's also nice when you're on hikes where you can find snow and fill your water bottle with it. I've aso had snow-cones with snow and an orange juice syrup. It's amazing.
I never saw snow until about two years ago. It doesn't really snow around here much.

Well you know what they say is good for the skin, don't you? :smallamused:
But seriously, I moisturize them with cold-pressed oils. It is far better for skin than lotions.

Cold-pressed oils, you say? Intriguing.
