Well, look at the little picture of Demetri in his pajamas. He's wearing white pajamas and his hair is long, down to a bit below his shoulders.
When he wakes up, he's stripped down to his underwear, his blanket is strewn all over the floor, his pajamas are cut to pieces and also strewn all over the floor, his hair is even more roughly cut, and Blondie's sprinkling it all over him while cruelly taunting Demetri that "It's snowing."
When people wanted to tease and taunt Demetri, they'd call him Snow.
Also, Blondie's name is Zachary.

Oh. I knew Zachary wasn't sprinkling glass shards on him. I don't know why I thought that. :smallconfused:
But there are many lighthearted nicknames you could still bestow on Demetri with out saying "Snow"- Pearl, Moon, Star, Skeleton if he is also sufficiently thin, Wolf.
and of course to go for that reference that only fantasy readers would know.....Jon.

Demetri is really thin. As an adult he has a long lean face with sharply defined cheekbones. He never really had much baby fat as a child either, but what baby fat he did have, well he didn't lose it until relatively late in his teens.
But if his friends use a nickname, it's Demy.
Oh, and update tomorrow!

Jon... Shannow?
How about Skilgannon? XP

Re: Murphy's Law 4 (4 Times The Mayhem!)
I honestly don't see the point of wishing harm upon Zachary-idiot-orange.
He's stupid enough to cause trauma in what he think is a part-drow sorcerer.
That's a 20% risk of horrible disfiguring, insanity or death right there by forcefully awakening the kid's magic and an additional risk of the kid doing it when he is older.
All in all, he'll do a fine job of getting himself killed without our help.
But enough of that, Demy needs a hug *hugs*

Re: Murphy's Law 4 (4 Times The Mayhem!)
Alright, update time! Now, remember what I said about the city-state of Runite? Well, you better. :smalltongue:
#89: Golden Eagle Shipping And Trading
Also, I realized that Zachary doesn't fit the naming conventions of Runite and the rest of the Kyarian Federation (Russian with a splash of Slavic and Greek). Therefore, Zachary is now Zakhar.

Re: Murphy's Law 4 (4 Times The Mayhem!)
Radic is everyone's daughter, Matt.
Minor comment on Panel 4; one would expect Lloyd's speech bubble to be lower than it is. If not for context, one could interpret that he was saying it before Radic/Serrin's united cry. But it is, admittedly minor; one could just have Radic/Serrin's cry in one panel with a deadpan Lloyd, which might work better... although again, it is minor.

The Golden Eagle Shipping And Trading Company. Quilla=Aquilla=Eagle. Radic and her brother Aludean have golden hair. Their father Dagan Quilla has golden hair, though it's starting to turn gray. Radic has made multiple references to her family and trade routes and business deals and shows acute knowledge of advertising and merchandise. They live in Runite, a mercantile city-state in southern Kyare that was built on commerce; a port city in the middle of a swamp that is known as "The Gateway To The Southern Islands."
Do you see it yet? If not, highlight the text: Radic's father, Dagan Quilla, is the owner of one of the largest shipping and trading corporations in Runite, THE mercantile city in the entire continent of Nordica, and quite possibly all of Aequar. She and Alu are expected to take over the corporation. Radic Quilla, the druid of Team Gale, is a city slicker and the only daughter of one of the richest non-noble men in the continent.

People who embody the stereotypes, one would presume.
And most of the time, people don't realise they're writing stereotypes while they're writing it.

Yeah, I'm trying to avoid it. So, what do you think of this update? *Sigh* Can't update until next Friday...:smallfrown:

Re: Murphy's Law 4 (4 Times The Mayhem!)
I normally operate on a basis of discussing faults; anything uncommented on tends to be a "thumbs-up", generally speaking. So, my above comment on Panel 4; the final panel also looks a little cluttered (and, of course, the |: expression on everyone's favourite silent quadruped), but that's even more minor than my Panel 4 thoughts.

I like breaking the 4th wall. And please don't quote images; it really eats into my bandwith.

Fourth Wall? We had a Fourth Wall?
Huh, for a while I thought we didn't have one.

Re: Murphy's Law 4 (4 Times The Mayhem!)
Uggh, I really really want to just skip the next comic and go to #91, but I can't because I can't skip #90 and #100 is soon!

Re: Murphy's Law 4 (4 Times The Mayhem!)
Hehe, I love it that Radic is a city girl, I totally didn't see that coming. I bet Giana and Terrence are actually gonna be done at the castle well before dusk, and they just need some alone time before they come back. :smallwink:
....Where did Tinder go? :smallconfused:

Re: Murphy's Law 4 (4 Times The Mayhem!)
Matt's not freaking out, at least. But maybe he just doesn't know who the guy is. :smalltongue: Since they know they're in a comic, will they be using that to their advantage at any point?
By the way, only having three fingers makes for some unusual looking gestures.
-
Re: Murphy's Law 4 (4 Times The Mayhem!)
Aw, I was going to say her dad was a crime lord. I was looking forward to random speculations. :smalltongue:
I don't get how the title breaks the fourth wall. Lloyd directly saying he was in a comic was obvious 4th wall shattering, though. A bit too far for my taste, but okay since it wasn't a serious panel anyway.
