Yes, but the pain was gone this morning when I woke up!
Quite strange. Odd, even.

Did it ever feel numb? Becuase my mom had something similar happen, except it went numb for a few weeks.

Not really. The body does most of its natural healing during the sleep, so it's not especially strange that pains disappear overnight. Good to hear anyway. Just be careful so it doesn't come back, okay.

Went to a chinese houseware store today. The tortilla press we bought yesterday was missing a piece, so we replaced it. They have soo much stuff there! And me and me mum did the details of our christmas plot. :smallamused:
Gonna go to Steve's after lunch today. I don't think my guitar will fit a bigsby though, probably just gonna go with a cheap fender whammy for now. Because of the way my guitar is built, after the bridge they go through holes in the body of the guitar, I'm not sure there's space for a bigsby.

No, the odd thing is that it was there when I woke up, and then the next morning when I woke up, it was gone.

What, cyclic pain depending on the day? :smallconfused:
I've had pain based on the time of day, but not the day itself.

My one cousin bugs me soo much. Sure, he may be young-ish, but is that an excuse to NEVER eat ANYTHING new? I mean, hell, it's just macaroni and cheese! But it's not Kraft Dinner, so he won't touch it.
:smallsigh:
How exasperating.

Re: Masa's Massively Masterful Message Medium - Random Banter #146
I like your cousin, sounds like me back when I was younger.
Nowadays, I'l eat most stuff, except cheese.
And now looking at the word cheese, it looks reaaally weird.
Hmm, I have that occasionaly with words. The dutch word for it, ''Kaas'' is pretty different.

Re: Masa's Massively Masterful Message Medium - Random Banter #146
OK, so it's the university holidays right now. Obviously. So I'm confused as to why there are 17 other people in the 24-hour computer cluster at about 20 past midnight.
I'm here because I came for a night out, missed the last metro home so I'm staying the night at my student house which I still have for a few more days, it's en route and I like my internet access, also I'm not that tired.
Why these other people?
-
Re: Masa's Massively Masterful Message Medium - Random Banter #146
Believe it or not, they missed the metro home, so they have to stay at their student house, of all things...

I used to be a picky eater. Then I traveled abroad a few times. That put an end to that. :smallwink:
The closest to that was when a friend of mine sent a burrito back because it had a tomato based sauce on it (a delicious one, too :smallfrown:).

Unlikely. The maiority of people at the university will not be from this area. Their student houses will be their only houses in the area. They will likely have computers and internet access in said student houses. They will also likely not be here until closer to the start of term.
Generally, people use the 24-hour computer cluster for working late. Right now, they shouldn't have any work. Except for post-grads.

How could you not like cheese?!?! It is the most delicious of dairy products.
On a side note I'm starting university on September 8th. Not really sure what to expect, everybody says its hard etc etc.

Re: Masa's Massively Masterful Message Medium - Random Banter #146
Oh, I absolutely loove cheese. Even the strong, generally unpleasant kinds.
For fifty cents, once, I ate a bit each of imperial, blue, and garlic-goat's cheese. Totally worth it. Grossed out one of my friends, too.

Re: Masa's Massively Masterful Message Medium - Random Banter #146
I'm cheese-intolerant. :smallfrown: I get migraines.
On the other hand, soy cheese is amazing stuff.

Must... comment... on... cheese...
Squiddles love cheese! But not too much! You'll hurt your tummy! :smallfrown:

Hah, that's sounds like me when I was younger. In fairness, I dislike some pretty basic stuff which excludes huge amounts of foods (it's amazing how many things have vinegar in them, for instance), so my reluctance to try new things is grounded in a lot of experience. Still... I distinctly remember being highly dubious about eating a "new" kind of flat noodle because it was wider than the ones I was used to. ...I got over that pretty quickly... :smalltongue:
Oh, here's a weird one: I really like Lean Pocket Pepperoni Pizzas, but I can't stand the normal Hot Pocket Pepperoni Pizzas. I'm not at all clear on why, myself. :smallconfused: It's something about the cheese. I don't even normally like cheese (nor sausage nor tomato) but I like pizza (well, standard american pizza), so go figure.

I, thankfully do not have that problem. I don't eat a whole tonne anyway because its expensive.
Where is your moon head avatar?! I almost didn't recognize you.

Phase: SQUIDDLES! <3!
All this talk of cheese is making me wish I had grabbed some of that crumbled feta at dinner and put it on the tomato slices garnished with basil and topped with slices of mozzarella and then drizzled with some kinda balsamicky stuff.
Actually, I think I just want some feta. Possibly on a pizza. I like feta, but I can't eat that much of it by itself. Maybe a feta sandwich?
What should I try to eat feta on next?

Re: Masa's Massively Masterful Message Medium - Random Banter #146
One of the muscles in my neck has decided to go on a strike, so now it gives me this sort of weird headache that gets intolerable everytime I turn my head to the side. I've taken painkillers, but they didn't help as much as I wanted. :smallfrown:
And, on the topic of cheese, I don't have especially much against the milder types of cheese, but I dislike cheese in cooking. It gets sour and I just don't like it. I can take a small amount of cheese on pizza (not the German definition of "small amount", though), but most of the time I just try to shove the cheese to the side.

Re: Masa's Massively Masterful Message Medium - Random Banter #146
Cheese, I find, is something you have to take great care of when using it in cooking. If you do, you get a wonderful accented flavor to an otherwise bland *or at least just average* dish. If you don't, you get an awful mess.
Pizza I have never much liked with "extra" cheese, but I'm also not a fan of no cheese at all. To me, that's like making a pie without all the fruit.
Oh, and of course just eating cheese by itself is also good, though I avoid the er..."softer" varieties of cheese. You know the kind...<.<;
ION: My 2-week break was pretty good. Visiting Maryland (to visit a significant other) was very wonderful. <3 We talked mostly about nerdy things and did nerdy things together, which is what I suspected all along that we would do.
Cape Cod after that was...well for half the week it was rainy, but it was also all of my siblings in the same house at once, and I kind of loved it, yo. We get along incredibly well, especially my oldest brother who I haven't seen in almost a year. (Apparently, I've gotten good enough at video games that I'm actually better than him. <.<; ) and even won a game of Monopoly. :smallbiggrin: Of course we drove out to the beach despite the rain...word to the wise: If you decide to ever do that, have a good rain coat because the rain on the cape is FREEZING AND BLOWING. o.o;
Half of the group had to leave halfway through the trip due to various obligations, which unfortunately coincided with the end of the rain. :smallfrown: But the end of the rain also meant, for me, Kayaking, Mini-Golf, Soft-serve Ice cream, awful souvenir shops (really, this one had so many awful tacky gifts it was hilarious), and a whole lobster. Plus the beach.
...I did get sunburn. On my knees. D: And on the drive home, while at a Dunkin' Donuts, I fell off the sidewalk rather spectacularly and scraped my arm. It was a fantastic fall though. It began with me going too fast for my own good and misjudging the position of the step that I had to take, pulling myself forward too far, trying to adjust myself while carrying myself into the fall to avoid an uncontrolled landing, spiraling out of control, turning onto my side, and, finally, according to onlookers, I hit the ground with a magnificent bounce before finally collapsing into a painful heap. I could not have asked for a better fall if I tried.
...Still hurts though. <.<; Oh, and I finished Maskerade. I kind of still prefer Witches Abroad though.

My little brother has no problem with wierd foods.
We went to New Orleans last summer, he was 9. We went to an expensive restaurant. He ordered escargot as a starter, and quail stuffed with fois gras as his main. :smallsigh:
And he at it all. :sigh:

I had escargot a while back, and was disappointed by how bland it was. :smallfrown:

I remember eating Escargot in France. It was...delicious.
Unfortunately, now I know how it is SUPPOSED to taste, and I can't stand the overbuttered, overseasoned versions that they have in the USA. :smallsigh:
That's probably the strangest thing I've ever eaten...

Meat counts as a fruit, in that case. ;p I've had Pot Pie. Not outright meat pie though.

Re: Masa's Massively Masterful Message Medium - Random Banter #146
Eh, by the way, I was on a party yesterday. It was kind of nice. They had a pool and a sauna, and even though they were both kind of cold (16 degrees Celsius in the water and never more than 65 degrees in the sauna), it was still really nice.
Cycling on a small snaky forest path with your bicycle lamp and small patches of moonlight as your only light sources is also nice, and should be done a lot more often. Just watch out so you don't fall off the track.

Were there blood? Will you get a cool scar? :smallwink:
I never get any cool scars. :smallfrown: They just become dark purple-ish and don't look especially good at all with my ordinary skin color.

Here in Sweden, we've got "Västerbottenspaj" (paj = pie). That is a pie shell filled with "Västerbottensost" (ost = cheese). Yes, that's actually just a pie shell filled with cheese (and probably something more too, but cheese is the main ingredient). :smallamused:
