Sounds fun. I'm in.

I'm pretty sure things could, in fact, get worse.
Someone could show up trying to sell copies of a Grand Funk Railroad album... hmm, it's a shame The Moff is still up on that rock.
Wait, so are we going to do the war island thing or not?
I dunno. We never made any final decision, and no one's really confirmed if they'd like to join besides you, me, Moff, and... who else?
If anything, I'd prefer to do the thing you suggested. We fight over it for use as a summer home. Doesn't have to be canon either.
I haven't said it before, but I'd be down for this whole "fight for the summer vacation island" thing. I don't know how much weight that has, but there are my two cents. Or my two credits, or yen, or pounds, or whatever you want.
Doesn't matter whether you're newb or veteran, all a setting needs to succeed is interested players.
(I doubt I'll have the energy to be one of them, but I wish everyone luck.)
So, ah, should someone start the thread or something for it?
Well, I would, but I'm rather busy tonight. I might be able to do it later tonight, but don't count on anything. If someone else would set it up, that'd be cool with me.
How about we bounce ideas around in this thread until we have a more solid idea of what's going on, before posting a thread?
Geographically, how about a vaugely circular island? The interior could contain several large hills and valleys, rivers, maybe a lake, and some caves. The exterior could be maybe fifty percent beach, fifty percent cliff. There could be the ruins of a Grecco-Roman esque settlement somewhere on the island.
I thought I said I'd join...
Nope, wait. I just laughed maniacally.
So, yeah, I want in on this.
And wholly support the non-canon, cause then I got more characters to choose from.
Which, come to think of it, would we want to set a limit on the number of characters a player can toss in?
Hmm... I think a more oblong shape of the island would work. And yeah, the beach/cliff sides sound good. Grecko-Roman type settlement sounds good because then we can definitely have a Colosseum like structure somewhere.
On characters I think something like... no limit as long as two of your characters from opposite sides start to have there own battle or something like that? Maybe limit it to two or three characters per side for each player?
The big issue, though: can we have a little godmodding, as long as the rule of cool/funny is obeyed?
That depends, Moff. What sort of godmodding do you intend?
Also, I agree with Moff and apeoflight's island design. Character limit should be 2-3 per player, just because more than that would unbalance the fight.
Hmm... never mind. I guess I'm just getting really jumpy about accidentally godmodding. :smalltongue:
I wouldn't worry about it too much, if I was you.
About the thread: yeah, I both don't have time and don't feel like writing it all up tonight. Unless someone else would like to do it, I'll try and put it up tomorrow.
Sounds like a plan.
Quick question:
Am I allowed to make a Nexus thread? I've had an idea for a while based on some RPs I used to do and some stories I wrote. It's the Library, a big, endless 'sanctuary' that everything passes through at one point or another. It's full of weird prophecies and magical occurrences and st00f!
Sure. Just fill out a 600 question application form then step this way to wrestle the lion. We also require a certificate from your doctor informing us of your good health and also a deposit of $75,000 to be paid to our Accountant (she's the corridor, 3rd door on the left). A full resume re: the major points of your past 6 reincarnations is not required, but appreciated. Thank you, have a nice day.
Where's the application?
Don't listen to Kael. You have to go on the Great Application Quest, and defeat three boss monsters, each more deadly than the last!
And then... oh, the grinding! Grind and spiders!
And press fifty-twelve to not die.
Reinholdt Prime... IN HELL!
 OH NOE...
Oh.
