Jit attempts to put a hand on her shoulder.
It's good work you do here Quinn. It may be thankless, but some has to do it. I would, but I'm horribly inconsistent with where and when I am.

That gets a smile from the paladin/telepath. "Thanks. And I know. It's just...difficult, sometimes."
[Infirmary (B)]
I figured you'd say that. But make sure you keep that in mind. Everyone gets tried at points in their life, and the more virtuous the person, the harder the trial.
He flashes her a quick smile.
Besides, I owe you for helping me with my trial.
[Infirmary (B)]
Quinn blinks.
Then grins.
"...do I get to point out at the gallery and shout "objection!" at the top of my lungs?"
[Infirmary (B)]
Jit chuckles.
Only if you have a degree. If we start letting people without degrees do that, there wouldn't be any motivation to go to law school.
[Infirmary (B)]
"Plus," Quinn observes, "that would require my joining the Partnership Collective."
[Infirmary (B)]
I'm afraid I don't know that group. By the way, while I'm here, I'd like to put my skills to use. Any recommendations for who could make use of a trained assassin?
(Jit seriously is hard up here, since he's both psychic and an assassin)
[Infirmary (B)]
"Be glad you haven't. And you might want to check in at NO, perhaps."
And Quinn gives directions to the Neutralist Organisation!
[Infirmary (B)]
Sounds about right for me. Thanks for the tip.
Jit extends a hand.
Farewell, Quinn Druid the Paladin of Freedom. Keep your friends close, your enemies closer, and your loved ones near and far.
[Infirmary (B)]
"What do you call it when you marry one of them?" Quinn quips, shaking the hand with a grin.
[Grove]
The Huldra wrinkles his nose a bit at the display. And seeds bouncing of the silly druid's head.
"Eerr... I don't think that this is working. Maybe the tree wants to stay where he is?" Freddie suggests.
Then winces slightly as a continuity snap THWACKS! him right in the rump!
With a yip he spins around to discover-!
A third tail.
Weird.
When did he get that...?
He's pretty sure he would remember something like-
POW!
And there's the memory update!
Suddenly he feels quite woozy...
"I feel kind of woozy..." the demon fox mutters.
See?
Told you so.
[Grove]
Salix goes over to stand beside Toby. "It's okay if you can't teach my tree to walk. I can still go to the camp and stuff." She glances down at the seed cluster that's now at her feet and nudges it with her bare foot.
[Grove]
Yeah... not really my area of expertise. Toby sits on the ground and looks over at the seed cluster while he catches his breath.
Of course, the other option is to build a giant power suit for the tree to control. You know, give Stu an archnemesis. :smalltongue:
[Grove]
Stu could totally use an arch nemesis.
But wouldn't a tree in power armor be a little big?
Freddie, meanwhile, gives its head a good shake.
Wow was that ever weird. Continuity updates are pretty jarring things.
The Huldra glances over its shoulder again. Yep. Three tails. And it feels like it won't be all that long before another grows in. Or rather, not many more ghosts to nom until another grows in. Which of course means ANOTHER dramatic jump in power.
Four tails...
If a Huldra gains enough they become human again. Or so the story goes...
All this pondering leaves him seeming a little distracted! Though eventually the demon-fox grins over at the dryad girl! "I'm sure we can find other ways to make it easier for you to explore."
Reelshka's ears twitch. Him and the other babies... Julie's twins and Renetta's Flamecrest. Plus the other ones who might be brought into our new nursery. Two ladies from Watchtower said they may bring them here to be looked after...
Brinika nods.Quote:

"Not that I've met. I do have an adopted brother and sister though! But they're pretty shy, " Jamie says with a smile.
(And NPCs, as they were JdV's characters. :smallfrown:)
Oooh. Yeah, you've told me about them. Well, my parents both have siblins and cousins who have children, so I have over a dozen cousins. I haven't met all of them, though. Some of them are already grown-ups.
[Infirmary (A)]
"Sounds like we've got a regular creche going, doesn't it?" Quinn asks, standing to go and put sleepy Hadrian into his crib.
[Lakeshore (B)]
"I wish I had that big a family," Jamie observes, a bit wistfully but with a smile. "But I'm happy with the one I have."Quote:
Brinika nods.

[Infirmary (B)]
"You're affected by the Blinovich Limitation Effect and will explode if you touch yourself?" Quinn tilts her head curiously.
(When it suited her purpose to be silly. :smalltongue:)
[Infirmary (B)]
No, actually. Not at all. I've saved myself several times. But I can't risk a regression. You'll understand when I get here. I should be calmer than usual. I'll be fresh from the hunt.
[Infirmary (A)]
Oh, yes. Brinika's really excited about helping there. She already met baby Flamecrest and talked my ear off about how cute she is. Reelshka shakes her head.
[Lakeshore (B)]
Well, your family just got a bit bigger! Brinika squeaks, before looking down at herself and giggling. But I guess not that much bigger.
[Infirmary (A)]
"Oh, I'm sure. If she's anything like Jamie..." Quinn chuckles.
[Lakeshore (B)]
Jamie laughs cheerfully at that, shaking her head. "Just the right size bigger, I think!"
===
[Infirmary (B)
"Maybe you'd best just explain then instead of confusing me now," Quinn says with a smirk.
[Grove]
Salix nods. "Yeah!" She doesn't seem too put out by her tree still not being able to walk. "Thanks for trying, mister." The dryad tries to give Toby a brief hug before going to grab the seed cluster. "Olivia said I should plant a tree at GLoG. We should do that now." She says, turning toward Freddie.
[Grove ==> Campsite somewhere?]
The Huldra nods in reply!
"That's a good idea. I... think?"
Freddie still knows nothing of dryads and how they work. Aside from getting sick if they're too far away from their tree. For some reason. It's really weird.
Anywho!
Freddie will run back toward the camp site!
Once Salix decides on a good spot he'll begin digging a hole!
Due to his sorta canine body form he is idly suited for digging holes.
[Infirmary (B)]
Jit nods back.
Don't blink.
He turns and, if Quinn doesn't stop him, leaves.
[Infirmary (B)]
Quinn lets him go.
Shortly afterwards she's mauled by the vengeful ghost of continuity!
[Lakeshore (B)]
From a fair distance away, the two girls might notice a third young lady watching them. She appears shy, and unless approached after a few moments, will go over to speak with them.
"Um. Hi," The young girl says weakly, brushing a brown lock of hair back behind ear. She studies them with small, quiet blue eyes. "Can I sit with you guys?"
