You know guys, there's this magical thing called letters?
They form words and sentences, and then they begin to sing and dance and everything turn into a sea of green...

Man I totally had an offsite emote that was really funny lined up to use for the next time there was a string of emote-only posts but I forgot what it was.
I have failed you ABR

Does anybody know how to get steam to work at a speed that isn't comparable to a 900 year old man on a crutch?
Or a link to the steam thread?

That second one is easy enough.

Tattoos. They're used in his home city to identify clans/families, and more importantly to differentiate between free males and enslaved and/or betrothed consort males.
...
well, usually. In Ketham's case it's because he's adopted.

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XXXIV - "Go Go Power Lanterns!"
I'm drawing him in my notebook. Only he has fluffy sideburns, only one of those tattoos, and on the other side he has some circle tattoos... Oh, also piercings... sooo...

I'm not dead either, everybody. In fact, I've been debating making another ABR Corps comic for a long time. However, after a PM I got from Skimmer asking what Q's looped theme song should be, I decided it's probably best to leave well enough alone for the moment so I don't screw up whatever he's planning. :smalltongue:
Plus, I myself am working on something rather big. But it's not really for ABR. Alas... :smallamused:

Huh... ya know, that's actually not half bad =/ i thought it'd be MUCH worse from your description, but i honestly like the take on Ketham's appearance.
Also. The drawing makes me both awed and envious, which is weird because i'm a writer, not an artist...
A couple of notes for Ketham personally:
Spoiler
Show
-He doesn't wear earrings though it DOES help the drawing, so... don't listen to this one.
-The necklace never says anything
-He'd probably be smiling.
The tattoo really is just a black squiggly line :smalltongue:
It might be because of perspective but the necklace looks extremely short... It should be about in the middle of the chest.
Notes on the drawing from an art perspective (take it with a grain of salt. I probably have no idea what i'm talking about):
Spoiler
Show
Those circles look like pierecings. I'm not sure if that was intentional, but i think earlier you said they were tattoos.
On the left side of the drawing, near where Ketham's right ear parts his hair, the hair flows in such a way that it looks like it's part of the jawbone.

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XXXIV - "Go Go Power Lanterns!"
Craaap I already inked it. Can't fix the hair thing. :smallfrown:
I could have sworn someone's necklace spoke to them...
-
Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XXXIV - "Go Go Power Lanterns!"
The tattoo circles look like piercings because they're drawn identically to them. Shading (even just regular ol' colour shading) would separate the two sufficiently.

Meh. If the hair's colored it won't be noticeable.

Who's? Not mine.
That might've been one of the fourth-wall breaking boxes =/ the ones between my 'cuz i said so' half and 'cuz it makes sense' half?
Or the skeleton head which Ketham used to reference Hamlet?
But not Ketham's necklace. It has no consciousness of it's own. It performs a very important function but it has no ability to think or speak.

Virus: 1
New Anti-Virus Software: 2
Me: 0
My Bookmarks: 0
In a short but brutal war, not even Norton can stand against the menace of the Virus. The Goblin armies, lacking little real experience or numbers, fled. All seemed lost....
...when an unlikely hero emerged. A formerly uninvolved nation--known only as AVG--suddenly entered the fray. The Virus Hordes were put to flight. The forces of evil were pursued and exterminated, and peace returned to the world.
But at great cost. The minor nation of Bookmark had been occupied by the enemy, and when the Virus was purged, so were the Bookmarks. And so ancient arts and religions fell into obscurity.
Until recently. Scholars have unearthed old records, of something called 'ABR'. They seek to investigate, and determine what this 'Royal Battle of Avatars' is, exactly.
IN OTHER, LESS MELODRAMATIC NEWS:
Yeah, I'm back. Sorry about the hiatus. I may post a response to Tangible soonish. :smalltongue:

Anyone knows some good editor where I could check code of my .svg files for potential syntax errors?
Also, I'm almost done with the next ABRC(I hope for real this time)....
