Yes, and the shirt somehow stayed up on its own too.

Bet you wish you shopped at Antigravity Boutique as well.

Re: You! (A picture/Media thread) Thread 30: Roman Numerals? What Roman Numerals?
As I was sifting through pictures of Belgium and Britain from the last few weeks, I found this.

It's just an early prototype from Brokk's lab. The inscription on this one says "Whosoever holds his hammer, be he somewhat respectable and reasonably quick on the uptake, shall posses the power of Benjamin Franklin."

(Also, you're putting your weight on your feet, and not your hands. But the first answer sounds so much more scientific.)
Still an awesome picture.

Hmmm... I think that's how you should be painted, for if you ever decide to commission a portrait.

uhm.. you're assuming this pic was taken in the open air and not somewhere with artificial lighting

I suppose that's a possibility. The character of the light seems to soft to be artificial and looked more like light filtering through clouds. And it looks like an external architectural feature.
But I could be wrong.
However, it is clear that Mauve's weight is not resting on her hands as the way they are held above her with her elbows bent would result in her head colliding with what appears to be red painted concrete.
On the other hand, her right leg is held straight and her left leg is clearly pushed against the edge as can be told from the angle of her toes to her foot.
A very unlikely and uncomfortable position for one who is upside down.
But still an awesome picture.

Pictures from my favorite lake, some 2 or 3 kilometers from where I live. I did not take these pictures.

Dear Elemental, why do you ruin everything fun? Love, Mauve. :smalltongue:
Why Serps, you haven't changed a bit since that photo! :smallwink:
I especially like the first one, Asta.

I'm semi-jealous. Jealous because that is one gorgeous lake, semi because I have a lake of my own very close to my house. :smallamused:

Dear Mauve.
I don't ruin everything fun... Just most of it.
Yours sincerely,
Elemental.
P.S. It's still an awesome picture.
Also, I'm very jealous Asta. Very jealous indeed. Mostly because there are no natural lakes near where I live that I know of that aren't part of what amount to swamp. (Though in actuality, they are nice to look at)

Re: You! (A picture/Media thread) Thread 30: Roman Numerals? What Roman Numerals?
Does this count?
... man, Lake Ontario's a pretty ugly lake. But, y'know, it's all I got. And I still like sitting by the lakeside hanging out, there are lots of secluded (if not quiet) tiny spots, little hollows and such, if you know where to look.
Edit: Mind you, the lake wins because it allows you to take photos like this one, from the island. And man, that's just an AWESOME skyline, of just the downtown core like that.
There's nothing quite so satisfying as camping out on the island and just watching the city at night. It's beautiful.

That is an awesome night-time skyline, Gwyn. These lake photos make me want to head out to take a few pictures at Loch Eck, which isn't too far away from where I live.
Then again, I need some spare time to do that, and spare time is something I don't have a lot of right now. :smallfrown:
Edit: Last time I was up past that way was a few years ago, when I took this picture:

Here's a video from the same lake (Västra Långevattnet). Skip forward to 1:20 to avoid the shaky-cam. And take a good look at the gorgeous mallard.

Re: You! (A picture/Media thread) Thread 30: Roman Numerals? What Roman Numerals?
So, as a long time lurker, I finally decided to join the fun and post some pictures from a recent convention I went to! ^_^.
A friend and I did a Fire Emblem Cosplay. He was Eliwood, and I was Matthew (The one in green!)
And this one is from the "Formal" the night before the Con, of me and my friend yet again =P. (Bad lighting, but ah well. I still think it's an awesome picture ^_^.)

Since a certain mod (*cough*Rawhide*cough*) felt it was good enough to post, I guess I might as well.
Just me. In the car. No make-up. Hubby's college graduation tshirt. Because that's how I roll on a Tuesday.

In fairness it was touch and go for second, being approximately 3 miles away from where he lives. :smalltongue:

They would be the ever lovely Curly, Lixie and Heliomance.
