Re: Fairy Tail II: Second Generation Thread Slayers
Well, I guess we get a mix this week...
Spoiler
Show
Between Gray using his brain and just weird plot powers/magics... So demons don't like ice? Nah, that's probably not it... We'll have to wait and see, I guess.
Also: Everyone's a chibi now! For a few images, at least...
Otherwise not much to say, I think? Oh, right, giant bird eating the guy before he could spill the beans. Too bad.

Re: Fairy Tail II: Second Generation Thread Slayers
So... the magic used on Wendy creates a LoliLoli?

I think with Wendy it just straight into Super Deformed territory. Chibi-Wendy.

Now we just need to get Sugar to do her voice acting and we're set.
(she's the lady who did Sailor Mini Moon from Sailor Moon S)

Re: Fairy Tail II: Second Generation Thread Slayers
You ever feel Hiro just wants to throw his fetishes at us?
Yha...on another note, the demons, I just realized have Power Button symbols on them. If it turns out it's a sign that means Power I'm going to laugh and laugh and then strangle Hiro for the pun.

Re: Fairy Tail II: Second Generation Thread Slayers
I think it less it less personal on the part of mangaka and more... servicing all customers.
On the other note, wait Deliora and Lullaby had one?
-
Re: Fairy Tail II: Second Generation Thread Slayers
I meant the two new ones. Looking at it Lullaby doesn't, but Deliora COULD have one.

Re: Fairy Tail II: Second Generation Thread Slayers
New Chapter!
Spoiler

YAH ****ED IT UP GRAY.

Re: Fairy Tail II: Second Generation Thread Slayers

My guess is that either the flame went out when it was frozen (I don't know its fairy tail physics. It WAS frozen. Or Minerva teleported the entire flame somewhere else because Gray would of succeeded in unfreezing the flame.
-
Re: Fairy Tail II: Second Generation Thread Slayers
Oh god, I actually forgot to post here after reading the chapter. I must be seriously ill.
Spoiler
Show
I don't think Gray is to blame... maybe? At least I guess it wasn't really his fault but the flame either was never really inside or it went out when it was frozen. (And no, I really don't think an argument about freezing flames would bring us anywhere)
Otherwise... Well, Natsu beats up giant eye bird and punches it multiple times right in the eye ball. Just looking at the image caused me pain.
We'll have to see what Wendy is sensing... maybe the flame transformed and became... something else?
But otherwise... it felt like a really short chapter... but maybe that's just me.

Re: Fairy Tail II: Second Generation Thread Slayers
What about that lady who has that flaming hair of hers?
Anyone else suspecting she'll be able to restart that eternal flame?

I still don't quite think that the flame is put out. But if it is I think it will require more magic than flare is able to produce. Maybe lucy using gemini to copy flare would be enough but I still don't think so. My money is still on Minerva teleporting the flame somewhere.

I don't think it is either.
If I had to guess, I'd say that the mountain of flame was just a layer of protection around the REAL Eternal Flame, which was probably at the center of the mountain.
I think the massive ice attack was just a way to get past that layer of protection - conveniently eliminating 2 stages at once, the Giants and the Flame Mountain, so they could steal the flame.
I'm guessing in the next couple chapters somebody is going to pop up and give some evil, 'Muahaha stupid fools, look, I already stole the Eternal Flame!!"
And then Natsu is going to eat it. :smallamused:

Re: Fairy Tail II: Second Generation Thread Slayers
Does that mean the guy who hired the Fairy Tail group to find out what happened to the giants village is actually the bad guy as he'd sending the only person who could finish off the eternal flame (ie: Natsu)?
After all he did select the group so what better team than someone Minerva has a grudge against, someone who can effect the ice covering and in removing it remove any remaining protections covering the eternal flame and since that bloke accompanying Minerva was apparently a demon from the book of Zeref kind of indicates someone else will be present to force the issue... but that leaves the question of what the ternal flame is actually all about... I wonder if Flare knows?

Seems unlikely to me... Okay, we already had a (few?) FT's turn bad but another one? I don't think the guy is evil even though I could be totally wrong on that.
Apart from that... I feel everything is random guessing about what's up with the Eternal Flame. Except Natsu going/trying to eat it at some point. That's guaranteed.

Re: Fairy Tail II: Second Generation Thread Slayers
ehmmm... The guiy is a freaking broccoli and ex FT mage. If he turns out evil my suspense of disbelief has been crushed into sands of the desert...

Didn't that also apply to Hades too?

indeed. Broccoli buy is funny, sweet, nice and an ex FT. Hades is just an ex FT who seemed to get a grudge against Makarov. Something completely different. And he is not a broccoli...

It did not seem like an actual grudge, more like FT had something that he wanted?

Maybe they were on opposing sides of green intake?

Re: Fairy Tail II: Second Generation Thread Slayers
Well now, color me eff-ing surprised.
Spoiler

Maybe my genre senses have weakened or I have been not attentive enough but that actually caught me quite off guard. If anything I was expecting him to try to eat it, or blow it out with his fire, or whatever... but this? Well, at least it means not all dragons have vanished from the world... Well, you know what I mean.
Am I the only one who was thinking of DBZ when Natsu was releasing that barrage of fireballs?
Lot of action going on, so not much else to say...
-
Re: Fairy Tail II: Second Generation Thread Slayers
Yeah Natsu really Toriyama'd things up this chapter.
And didn't this get a whole lot more interesting all of a sudden.

We already knew they weren't.

I forget what chapter it was that showed Igneel talking to some other dragon in the present time.

maybe we are dealing with a Pratchett fan here hwo once reasoned that the big, great dragons in the world moved into another dimension, using hteir magic nature. So, they are kind of there and not there... And ofcourse that means Natsu can break the barrier between dimensions by brute force ruling with fire...

I think I mentioned it before but it looked an awful lot like some other plane or something to me. Though, I will admit there is no proof or anything for that. Until proven otherwise I think the vanished dragons at least disappeared from Earthland. Or left for some far away part of it, whatever.

Why didn't Flair know it was a dragon.
Why didn't Flair see Atlas Flame and go "HEY, I remember that"
Like...ANYTHING to foreshadow it, maybe? Also why does fire revive Atlas Flame from death? Does that mean covering Zirconis in naked bodies will revive HIM from death? Did he become the Eternal Flame because of Natsu? But then...paradox...
And why is Atlas Flame such a stupid name.
