Am I the only one who feels these last page kinda make the thread deseve it's current title. Or maybe it's because I have no idea who that feiri guy is and I just don't get the joke. Most likely.
The 'juggalo presidents was' kinda fun, though.

But its so EPICALY stupid.
You know, if Guy Fieri was ever namedropped in a SBAHJ comic or moive, his name probably ended up typoed as "Guy Feferi". It's just perfect.
Yeah, that is the basic fandom interpretation. Guy Fieri is someone from the Food Network, notable for his show, "Diners Drive-Ins and Dives".
I'm with DA here, please take the time to check the correct spelling of Condense, Rouge and Iconosphere. Please, for the sake of my sanity.
Do we have a Homestuck roleplay thread? Because you're not the only one with fantrolls in your head.
Sadly no homestuck roleplay thread here.
I mostly just use formspring.
Holy. He replaced the Niagara falls with blood!
lol is that the only one you noticed?
EDIT: GUYS I FOUND THE CUTEST THING *points at avatar*
Oohkay....
Last few updates have been... wierd.
I do not understand that statement in the slightest. How is the history of a dystopian future where RL public figures are curb-stopped by temporal counterparts of half of our heroes weird?
I just checked that.... ugh.. Rose you were all too mercifull.
also Niagara faals of deep fried fat would have been so much more apropriate>.
Well it's possible he's somewhat embelishing the truth but I see nothing that'dcontradict what we, as the audience, know about alternian society as it's 'peak' (what the condesce is trying to recreate apparently) and the kind of thing gardians can do.Quote:
I actually wonder how much of this is true and how much is just Dirk messing with Jake. Didn't he say before that Jake was too gullible and he was training him to be a bit more skeptical?
I don't know, I think Dirk is too close to the subject to lie about it. He may want him more skeptical but he wouldn't want to breed mistrust. What would be point anyway? It's not like it's information that could blow up in Jake's face if he attempts to act on it.
Don't you see guys?
He's telling the truth
But if jake doesn't believe it, that mean's he's becoming more sceptical!
Win-win!
That...doesn't make any kind of sense whatsoever. If he believes it, it means he's just as gullible as ever. If he doesn't, then Dirk is forced to show him that it's true, thus making him even more open-minded and gullible in the future.
The only way it would make sense is if Dirk planned on him not believing it, and then never revealing that it was actually true. At which point, why not just lie in the first place?
More likely he's just telling him the truth because he thinks he owes it to him, and this has nothing to do with him trying to make him less guillible. Or, perhaps this is the reason he wants to do so later on. Or he's just lying his ass off.
Holy crap :smalleek:. Also, Adult rose looks so good without her stupid hair thingy.
Now taking bets on who Jake is actually talking to in his dream bubble, since Dirk isn't dead yet (unless it's the future, I guess?)
I bet Bro.
Wait, jake is talking to somebody in a dream bubble?
With his dreamself dead, he would be in a dream bubble talking to someone. Most likely it's Dirk, which would suggest that he either reaches god tier, loses his dreamself as well, or gets caught in a doomed timeline and dies (like Terezi-killed John). Could be Bro, but Bro wouldn't have Dirk's knowledge.
By the way, just saw Let's Read Homestuck on YouTube a couple days ago - pretty interesting, especially the Midnight Crew intermission. That's not the point, though. The point is that it took someone reading it out loud for me to catch a line right at the beginning. Describing John's Col. Sassacre's book, the narrator says flat out that it's heavy enough to kill a cat if it were dropped on one. Poor Jaspers/Frigglish. Five and a half freaking acts may not be a record for brick jokes, but how many updates were there between those two scenes? I don't think even Eight Bit Theater could rival that.
Aw come on! This means that his brain already knows how dreambubbles work yet he needs dirk to explain it! This kinda makes no sense.
edit:
Dam it, my rage for **** made me miss the obvios answer.
Dam you ****. You and your stupid orange text.
Pages are all about untapped potential, eh? Crap, that just makes Tavros's death all the more tragic - we already knew he could have grown to be so much more, and now that's the entire definition of his class as well.
Is it possible that the mate of Page is Heir? It would kind of make sense: if Page is aggressive (effects only the Page) while Heir was passive, John's class would be focused on bringing out the untapped potential of the people around him, which kind of fits his role in the story so far, unlocking hidden aspects of people through his interactions with them. For his part, Equius brought out the potential of his allies by replacing the missing portions of their bodies, the void if you will.
Of course, aspects don't seem to have a good/bad inclination to them. Hope sounds nice and good, but Eridan proved it could be extremely destructive - that the aspect could just as easily attack you through hope or target your hopes. On the other hand, Void sounds bad but Equius was nothing but helpful while Karkat seems to be the glue holding his team together. And (naturally) on both hands, Gamzee's rage proves both an unrivaled weapon and an unparalleled threat.
One other thing: there may be yet another element we aren't fully aware of yet. Since the scratch, we've seen two examples of trolls who have obtained powers tied to another troll: Gamzee with Aradia's music boxes and the Condesce with the Summoner's beast mastery. Can trolls... fuse? Can they inherit traits from other trolls? (Since it's Gamzee and the Condesce, it could also be limited to highbloods.)
It would also be an alternative explanation for Cod Tier Gamzee: If Gamzee obtained aspects (in some way) of Aradia, he could have obtained his Cod Tier credentials that way.
That makes sense, if you remember that in their FLARP games, Tavros played a very weak class that, supposedly, would become very strong if he reached the higher levels. So Page kind of fits in with that.
Also, I noticed something recently. We've only seen two Heroes of Hope so far, Eridan and Jake. Eridan was the Prince (or Destroyer) of Hope and he hit on everyone, but nobody ever liked him. Jake, on the other hand, is lusted after by nearly everyone who knows him. I wonder if there's a connection there.
