No. It's AoO per movement.

Q625
The spell Restoration says that it, "dispels negative levels and restores one experience level to a creature who has had a level drained."
We have a wizard who has 2 negative levels (within the last 24 hours) and we're purchasing spell services for Restoration. Are ALL negative levels dispelled with 1 casting of Restoration, or only 1 experience level?
-
Re: Simple RAW Thread for 3.5 #33: Doesn't everything popular die when 33?
A625 All current negative levels are dispelled from the target by one casting of restoration.

Is a Stone Spitter (FF) a manufactured (and thus enchantable) or a natural weapon for a creature?

Q 627
Concerning the Telling Blow feat: if a rogue who is flanking their target or a scout that moves to active skirmish as normal scores a critical hit with their attack that round, do they get their precision damage twice on that attack?

Re: Simple RAW Thread for 3.5 #33: Doesn't everything popular die when 33?
Q 628
Girallon's Blessing says the creature gains 4 claw attacks. Does this mean if the creature gains 4 claw attacks in addition to any natural weapon it possesses? So like, if the creature has 2 hands and 2 claw attacks, would this spell turn him into a creature with 4 hands and 6 claw attacks? or 4 hands and 4 claw attacks?
Also if he mixes his normal natural weapon with the claws, do the claws become secondary and attack at a -5, or do they still stay at full base attack? I'm having trouble figuring out what's the point of declaring them secondary. Maybe they only get the -5 to attack if they try to use weapons with that hand instead of the claw attack?

Yes. However, you deal your Sneak Attack/Skirmish damage, which is different from actually using Sneak Attack/Skirmish. That is to say, things that require Sneak Attack/Skirmish to trigger (Craven, Ambush feats) can't be used with this damage

The spell says the creature gains 4 claw attacks, so that what it does. It also grants one pair arms, so in your example it would be 4/4 arms/claws.
The claws strike with BAB+Str because that's what the spell says.

It would be 4 hands and 6 claw attacks. His two original claw attacks are not removed when you cast the spell.
If the spell gives a snake only 2 arms but still gives them 4 claw attacks, I fail to see how it would be 4 arms and 4 claw attacks as heavyfuel suggested.
The RAW is dysfunctional and the RAI would suggest you cannot use the same hand for multiple claw attacks, but that is RAI. As the RAW stands you gain 4 claw attacks regardless of how many limbs you have and whether your original limbs have natural weapons or not.

How much would a use-activated wondrous item of Magic Mouth with unlimited charges cost?

A 629
Ask your DM. Custom magic items are strictly under their purview.
Using the SRD guidelines, a Magic Mouth created by a Wizard would cost 2*3*2000=12000 GP. Since a duration of "Permanent until discharged" can't be said to have a duration greater than 24 hours, you wouldn't divide the cost by 2.

errata: "skirmish or sneak attack damage is added only once, even if you meet other conditions for adding damage, such as if you scored a critical while the enemy was flat-footed.”

You are correct.
The point about it only being SA/Skirmish damage still stands.

Q 630: Do multiple Bane enchantments of different types stack against the same foe? For example, if an enemy is a Good Outsider and a Magical Beast, does a +1 Good-Outsider-Bane Magical-Beast-Bane weapon being used to attack it get treated as a +5 weapon with an additional +4d6 damage?

Expanding on this: how about a chaotic outsider bane + evil outsider bane vs a demon? Human bane + Magebane (Carc) vs a human wizard?
-
Re: Simple RAW Thread for 3.5 #33: Doesn't everything popular die when 33?
A 630
Yes, as there is no rule that they do not stack.
-
Re: Simple RAW Thread for 3.5 #33: Doesn't everything popular die when 33?
Re: 630
Do note, however, that being an Outsider and a Magical Beast at the same time is impossible....
-
Re: Simple RAW Thread for 3.5 #33: Doesn't everything popular die when 33?
A 630 - Contention
Only the extra 2d6 would stack.

The normal enhancement bonus won't change, so it's always 2 higher than the normal, regardless of how many "x-bane" properties your weapon has

Q 631
A ECL 12 dwarf PC and other PC's cohort (ECL 7) fight and defeat a fire giant (CR 10). The cohort's "master" is nowhere around when this fight happens and arrives at the scene later on.
How much XP do they (and maybe the cohort's PC) earn?

A 631
Cohorts don't count as a party member when determining XP, so the Dwarf would gain 1800 XP
Now, since the cohort's PC wasn't present for the fight, he didn't gain XP. If the cohort's PC doesn't gain XP, neither does the cohort.

Re: Simple RAW Thread for 3.5 #33: Doesn't everything popular die when 33?
Thank you.
Q 632
When you calculate XP for a cohort, do calculate the XP BEFORE or AFTER adding cohort's PC's XP penalty (for multiclassing)?

You apply the multiclass penalty and then calculate the cohort's XP

Q 633
If you are a Cleric who has already swapped out the ability to spontaneously cast cure or inflict spells using the Spontaneous Domain Casting ACF (PHB2), can you still benefit from the Ordained Champion (CC) ability to spontaneously swap out spells for spell from the War Domain? The wording of the ability makes me wonder...

It depends on how you interpret this "instead."

If you have cleric levels, you lose the ability to spontaneously cast cure or inflict spells. Instead, you can swap out previously prepared cleric spells for any spells of equal or lower level from the War domain.
Expect table variation.

No.
Modified Spontaneous Casting requires you to lose the ability to spontaneously cast cure/inflict spells. You can't lose something you never gained.

Q 634
Bit of a weird one, and it may go beyond the scope of this thread: if a Figurine of Wondrous Power (say, a Silver raven) was also an intelligent magic item, would it retain it's intelligence and intelligent item powers while in animal form?

Re: Simple RAW Thread for 3.5 #33: Doesn't everything popular die when 33?

By RAW it looks like it would simply by virtue of there being no prohibition against such in the FoWP text.
I'd be interested in seeing a thread on the matter however.

Q 635
Resilient sphere and Bead of Force:
"The sphere contains its subject for the spell’s duration."
That means that you cannot teleport out of the sphere or use any type of magic to get out of it? The sphere simply contains its subject(s)?, right, that's a fact?
-
Re: Simple RAW Thread for 3.5 #33: Doesn't everything popular die when 33?
A 635 Unclear
RAW you cannot use any spell that requires line of effect to escape the sphere. However, following that rule causes spells like Teleport to have functional issues as an inconveniently placed house 100 miles away can block a 400 mile teleport. However, any spell that allows you to move regardless of line of effect can cause you to leave the resilient sphere as the spell contains no special clause about containing the creature beyond "nothing can pass through the sphere" ex: Plane Shifting would help you escape.

Correction 635
Teleportation spells (including Teleport and Dimension Door) are cast upon yourself, not the destination.
You always have line of effect to yourself. Nothing physical blocks teleportation subschool effects except for things that prevent Astral travel.

Q 636
Two questions pertaining to the Animated Script class feature for Wizards (from the Dead Levels optional rules).
A: A wizard can copy spells on a Blessed Book for free. Can she add the Animated Script effect to it for free, or still has to pay the 5 gp/+1 modifier per page?
B: Can a wizard adds the Animated Script effect to the alternate spellbooks format proposed on the Complete Arcane, like walls or tattoos? And does it increase the price of the Animated Script to do so?
