Also a general art update on hair. As you can see in the new banner, Jeremy's hair changed the same way Alex's hair did. I didn't do anything with Tristan's, 'cause his hair is being changed drastically soon anyways.
For those of you who who might not get it right away, that's code for "Tristan will be bald within the next 10 strips" :smalltongue:

Actually, that gap was purely accidental.
Also, updated.
Also, Natalie and Nathaniel cast page thing is done.

Re: Next Generation:Order of the Pinecone
Prince Zahn, you really have impeccable timing, given that this comic is about children trying to enact their parents' revenge.
As for the comic itself, my initial thoughts were "Crud, they're in serious trouble now." However, halfway through, they became "No, wait, these guys are comically inept. Never mind." :smalltongue:

Now, Now. Don't count the acorn guild out just yet. Once they actually get Natalie to agree with this, You'll see how competent they can be. Also, Lexi (The black haired girl)has kinda made it her job to keep her 'bosses' in line when they start acting like children... as you can see.

Anyway, you can go to her cast page to see what she looks like.

Oh, there we go!
apparently I have once again been proven the futility of counting on my phone for reading instead of a PC screen, on my phone she blends almost perfectly with the wall. if there was a :smallfacepalm: smiley now would be a good time for it:smalltongue:
anyway I can see her much more clearly on this PC, carry on!

A face palm smiley would be great.
It's fine my phone does similar things. It makes most of her blend together, just not into the wall.

Re: Next Generation:Order of the Pinecone
Updated
Now, lets see if you can guess,
what are the classes of the people in the Acorn Guild?
I'll list the names in the order they are in the comic.
Nataile
Nathaniel
Lexi
Kenna
Zerkanus
Ivory
Thura
Some should be easy.
I just want to see how you guys do. (Just a hint I outright said what one of them was in the a different thread. The thread starts with an O ends with V and is in the arts in crafts section.)
Also, if your guessing a prestige class, see if you can guess the base class/classes as well.
*They are all core classes*
-
Re: Next Generation:Order of the Pinecone
Natalie: Multi-class, as explicitly stated; I don't know which classes. Probably sorcerer is one.
Nathaniel: Rogue.
Lexi: They already have a rogue, don't they? Possibly either rogue or ranger.
Kenna: Bard, like her counterpart.
Zerkanus: Probably wizard.
Ivory: Probably cleric.
Thura: Fighter or barbarian.
I am not good at this, am I.

Natalie: You're dead on about the sorcerer part.
Nathaniel: Ding Ding Ding
Lexi: I did say something about prestige classes, didn't I?
Kenna: Um, What? She's Alcina's counterpart, not Shiri's.
Zerkanus: Ding Ding Ding
Ivory: Nope.
Thura: Yes it is indeed one of those 2.
I white text-ed my responses just in case anyone else wants to try, with out having this to guess off of.

I accept your challenge!
Natalie: okay, multiclasser, defiant, but has to be right. Her figure suggests attractiveness, So high charisma (though some may argue that's mechanically incorrect) suggested low INT score, she defies her father's wishes, so WIS is either her lowest or highest stat:smallbiggrin::smalltongue:
Verdict?: Rogue...sorcerer/bard...Assassin? Really not sure.
Nathaniel: we have no evidence of him multitasking, short sword, clever, yet immature, I'm gonna say another rogue, or perhaps a bard.
Lexi: okay, I see clues for her all over the place, all-black clothing, save a pair or ballet slippers, rapier, she dances ever so swiftly and gracefully when she strikes. Rogue/Shadowdancer.
Kenna: It's hard to tell what's behind her head, she has no weapon visible, unless it's a red hilt(?). She says "by Adena", so that may suggest a divine caster. Voting Paladin/Blackguard.
Zerkanus: looks like a Necromancer to me; either of wizard, sorcerer, or cleric brand, I mean.
Ivory: I haven't a clue on her, I've heard, like, one line that has no provable defining features, besides perhaps indecisiveness
Thura:Barby.
After posting this I'm gonna read the white text to see if I got any right, wish me luck!

Natalie: Highest is charisma. And I never said she had a low Int, just lower than her brothers. Well some of the things you said are correct.
Nathaniel: Rouge indeed.
Lexi: Ding Ding Ding!
Kenna: Ding Ding Ding! Also, that is her sword hilt.
Zerkanus: Actually he's a generalist
Ivory: Not indecisiveness
Thura: Ding Ding Ding
You're damn good at this.
White texted my responses again.

Updated. Sorry it's a little bigger than usual. New file hosting site, still getting used to it.
Now lets see if you can guess Ivory's class now.

Re: Next Generation:Order of the Pinecone
Let's see... Monk? :smalltongue:
In all seriousness, Druid. It's quite obvious.

@Dire bat hug: that is cute, and a wee little bit sad.
topic: If she gets along with most of the acorns, should alignment differences between her and the rest of the group really matter?:smallconfused:
Discuss.

Yes- and no. Sometimes they do things that offend her moral code, but other than that, she can just go with what they do.
And she doesn't get along with Natalie or Thura at all.

Re: Next Generation:Order of the Pinecone
Updated.
Kenna and Ivory also have their slots on the cast page now.
-
Re: Next Generation:Order of the Pinecone
Nothing personal to Kenna and her kitty, but a Ivory's giant bat hug is in the lead by, like, 7 points...
-
Re: Next Generation:Order of the Pinecone
If kitty's name is Shadow, shouldn't it be capitalized?

Why do so many people in this party have animals?

...I went to comment on the discussion pages to ask you this very question, girl.
It strikes me kinda funny, though - they are grouped together for no apparent (thus far) purpose, and that it would generally give them the time to mess around if they are bored, and yet instead they are all minding their own business and their social refuge is a conversation with their pets.
Either what we see now is not by any means their everyday lives, and this trail of thought is too early to jump to any conclusion(I'd bet this is half-true) or the life of and in an evil adventuring party be quite lonesome...
It interests me that they may all be lonely inside...

I was asking myself that. Really, truthfully, It's because I like to take full advantage of their class features. Also talking to their 'pets' is somewhat justified, being that these are animals that are magically smart, and have a magical bond with the person. Also never call Flutter a pet again, he'll peck your eyes out.
I feel that I should mention that Kenna didn't go to her room to see her cat, she went to her room, where her cat happened to be, to pray to her goddess.
Z is just easily bored, and his familiar provides some level of entertainment.

Some of them are lonely, and the first thing is half true. I will say nothing more for sake of spoilers.

so... Flutter is the REAL evil genius of the group?:smalltongue:

Note to self:... Before... Calling...Flutter... A pet... Wear... Strong... Safety goggles.:smalltongue:
Also, to my knowledge that special bond, at least in a familiar's case, is formed to fill the void of the reclusive practice regimen, and study of magic. We can deduce from this that a wizard/sorcerer who is lonely is far more likely to conjure a magical companion in this fashion than a spellcaster with a healthy social/personal life.

Actually Z isn't the lonely one. The lonely one is: You thought there was going to be a name here, didn't you?

Heh. I try not to give big spoilers here, If you seriously wanted to know I would tell you in a PM. (As long as it stays private, that is.) But that would take all the fun out of it.
Also, I should have comic 30 () out soon, and it's gonna be a big one. Like late tomorrow soon.

I'd like to see him try, :smallamused: my +3 hook hand of paralysis will strike him quite badly.
I can keep a secret, but I really don't mind waiting like everyone else.
30!!!!!!

Sounds like a cool hookhand.
Yes. 30. We are now on comic 30.
Updated earlier than I thought I would.
It's split into two parts like it is because, exported as one big image, imgur turned it into a Jpeg.... Why does it get a little wider? I frankly have no clue being that I exported them at the same size.
How's that for a double length comic anyhow?
