Yes. Here's a better-proportioned version.

The bandaging on the first one looks wrong, try overlapping different pieces, instead of making a perfect pattern. It kinda looks more like hair.
His 5 o' clock looks weird, I'd suggest just going plain and use a "grayed" skin tone to show the stubble is growing.
The hair looks kinda... weird. Like a badly-made paper crown.
The second one, the blue, I like better, maybe just check that hair as well.

Yeah, I know about the bandaging. :smallfrown: Both of these were requests, and I tried to get them exactly as they wanted them. Facial hair and head-hair included.
As far as the second one goes, he wanted the hair a specific way, and so I delivered.
To be honest, I'm disappointed in them, and they are far from my best work. That said, this was an experiment with clothing. Both of them had long coats, and I wanted to make their respective garb as different as possible. Do you think I succeeded in that regard?

What program were those done in? :smallconfused: I like the looks of them, but they're all pixel-y in the larger versions.

That, good sir, is because I use MS Paint.

Really? For MS paint and my personal experiences with it, that's pretty good :smalleek: I stink with it - then again, I only ever got to use the one on Windows 7 once or twice while I've got a bunch of horrible time with the XP version with 3 undos :smallyuk:
The only two things I've actually got saved are from the XP version - they aren't OotS and they're moderatley large so I've put them in spoilers inside the spoiler:
Spoiler
Show
Gandalf vs Darth Vader
An orc I made using only the pencil tool

Re: OotS Style Art/Fanart Showcase VI
Honestly, the orc shows you have a lot of potential with that style. I can understand if you don't want to spend all the time drawing it though.

I made that three or four years ago while I was extremely sleepy :smalltongue: I regret the head-spikes and lack of actual pants.
Edit: It was three or four hours of work.

I'd say the first one could do with some work.
The second one looks nice.
How about changing the first one a bit, so it doesn't look like his shoulders are falling?

*Avatar sized she-warrior*
Total brainfart - I skipped over this message :smalleek: Sorry!
She looks quite good with the green eyes and I did a side-by-side comparison (I opened them up in two tabs and zoomed to as equal sizes as I could get and bounced back and forth) and it looks pretty good

While much better, the bandages continue to be an even pattern.
Example: Look at this avatar made a while ago.
The bandages are not even, because sometimes you place it too close to one another, sometimes you place it too far away and you come back to cover it, et cetera.
The shoulder line improved considerably.
My only real concern continues to be the 5 o' clock, but that's what the person requested, so...

Re: OotS Style Art/Fanart Showcase VI
I made another one. This is probably one of my favorite avatars made in a long while.

Great coloring and pose
What kind of weapons is are those?
Edit: Also, I like your avatars for this week, they're pretty cool :smallcool:

They're.. retractable machine pistol blade dagger thingies. :smalltongue: From the same show as the previous character I posted here.
Thanks. You get the story, I take it?

I don't know what show it's from to be perfectly honest, I don't watch much of anything.
Yep - gnome goes to an amusement park, gets cotton candy and face paint, gets told she can't get on a ride, sneaks onto the ride, and gets kicked out. I'm probably missing something, but it's fun and has kept me entertained - I didn't realize it was a story until I saw the second one :smalltongue:

Re: OotS Style Art/Fanart Showcase VI
I made a mer-angler thingy. It's ugly on purpose.

Show
*Angler, now with opposable thumbs forks
What would you say if I said it looked kinda cute. Maybe even hug-able.
Note: Why isn't opposable in the dictionary for this forum message thingy?

That doesn't bother me :smalltongue: I wasn't going for fearsome or anything, just needed a distraction from my aunt and uncle so I doodled this thingy-ma-jig up.
Site dictionary..? :smallconfused:

Re: OotS Style Art/Fanart Showcase VI
That's pretty cool, gurgleflep. I rather like the decision to not use solid borders on the edge of the fins and such. On the other hand, I think the angler needs a border. Just having it a solid line makes it looks like you tossed it on there as an after thought.

Re: OotS Style Art/Fanart Showcase VI
I'm sorry, but I'm afraid I don't follow what you mean.

Yep, that's what I meant. And perhaps put a bit more work into it so it's more than just a simple curved line.
-
Re: OotS Style Art/Fanart Showcase VI
It does have one, it's just a shade darker than then inner color and not all that noticeable because yellow's a weird color.
Oh, the thing holding the light xD I thought ya meant the light itself.

(In all seriousness—agreed that it's oddly adorable, and agreed that the lure thing would benefit from an outline.)
Here's a pianist. Thought I'd try a guy this time, and proceeded to spend forever figuring out how to do his hair. Guy hair has always been hard for me. :smallfrown:

Okay, I've fixed the mangler and making a few more tweaks and such - I'll have it posted sometime... well, sometime today xD I'm slow.

*The relationship between a piano, a man, and his hair*
The hair looks good. I also like how you used a darker neutral color for his tie. If you had used a brighter color it would have drawn to much attention.

Mangler fish! Lights and such were added
Edit: Dang, I post a lot ._.

Re: OotS Style Art/Fanart Showcase VI
I really like the lights, and the angler stalk looks better. I'd now recommend puttingvthe light in from of the stalk, then I'd have nothing more to nitpick.
