Yes, but my druid (who is also female) has a loose definition of the word "handle"...

And apparently also "animal".

Plenty of things that are nonhumanoid are also not animals. Dragons, for example.

True. I was just refering to appearence, not actual types. By that loose definition, dragons would be considered an animal. We are joking about a loose definition, after all.
1766: No, we aren't houserulling that any stat besides charisma plays into social interaction, even if it makes sense.
1766a: Especially while you are playing a bard/wizard.

Re: Things I May No Longer Do While Playing II: Stop Making The DM Cry
her argument was that it was just an intelligent snake with mammaries. This is when the DM began crying (metaphorically)...

1767. When playing the giant's champion class, my command word to transform may never be SHAZAM, booyah, clobbering time, or any variation of the above.

1768: It also may not be SMASH!
1769: Far as that goes, it just flat can't involve any Superhero references.
1770: And Anime References are right out.

1771. My champion form can't have six arms, three heads, and be named Asura.
1772. The homebrew charm called "Skill Beyond Hands" is not allowed.
1772a. I don't care if it is Exalted! It's not allowed!

Re: Things I May No Longer Do While Playing II: Stop Making The DM Cry
1773: Equestria does not exist in the D&D cosmology, so I should stop trying to plane shift and/or gate the party to it.
1773b: I am to stop trying to create Equestria via genesis.
1774: Repeatedly saying Ni doe not give me a bonus on Intimidate checks.
1774b: Even if my character is in fact a knight.
1775: New PCs do not have to present the group with a shrubbery, and it is wrong to tell them otherwise.
1775b: Nor are they required to cut down a tree with a herring.

It's time to duel!
Actually, I think that would work for the champion.

1776: No declaring independence as a nation.
1777: No playing a magical girl. Especially if you bring in youtube clips from various anime for your "transformation sequence".

Getsuga Tensho!
Bankai!
Ok, I said it, now it's out of my system. An you don't want to sell me a deathstick. No, you want to go home and rethink your life. (Arguably the single best line in the prequel movies. Don't get me wrong, they stank, but they still had there moments. )

LOVE AND PEACE!

Re: Things I May No Longer Do While Playing II: Stop Making The DM Cry
1778: I cannot yell at other members of the playground for making references to animes etc and there for derailing the topic
1779: Chees with silver shaving will kill a wererat
1780: Inquisitors should be killed on sight
1781: CoC is not a race
1782: Monsters and Other Childish things can be a horror game
1782b: Inform your players so they don't make a character with a monster based off a Battle-Toad
1782c: Monsters and Other Childish things normally should be played like any other game were a kid has a eldritch abomination that listens to them but cannot be revealed to the world

1783b: not even monks
1783c: nor truenamers
1783d: no seriously, if they lived long enough to be high level, they're doing something right.
1783e: and even if they just got lucky, they're money alone should be sufficient to make you unhappy

Re: Things I May No Longer Do While Playing II: Stop Making The DM Cry
1783f: Cause a 20th lvl monk with Decisive Strike, Shadow Blade Strike, Weapons Finesse, a massive Con and Dex Score, Combat reflexes and Robilars Gambit, Permitted CL 20 Enlarge Person, and a Trap of greater Mighty Wallop in there boot insole can still make none casters hurt.
1783g: And that Truenamer with the massive Int, An Item Familiar, Skill Focus: Truenaming, A masterwork Tool, a Custom Magic Item for TrueSpeak, and an affiliation membership maxed out that gives a boost to Truespeak, as well as max ranks in the skill, if he's 20th level and your 8th or 12th or 15th or so, can still fairly reliably make those stuiped checks to mess you up.
1783h: And both can be even more dangerous with UMD.

Re: Things I May No Longer Do While Playing II: Stop Making The DM Cry
1784. I should always assume a NPC's capabilities from surroundings not based on appearance. And definitely not on apparant age.
-
Re: Things I May No Longer Do While Playing II: Stop Making The DM Cry
1785: Disarming/searching for traps by throwing another party members down a hall way.
1785: Asking "OK, how can burn it, stab it, or blow it up?" for every quest.
1786: Pointing out obvious traps, ambushes, alternate routes, ETC without performing an intelligence check.
1787: Lighting random NPC's on fire.
1788: pickpocket someone, plant pickpocketed item on another party member, reporting said party member to the guards for Pickpocketing, stealing said item off the guards after they confiscate it and arrest said party member. (Yes, I did this once, It was Hilarious [to everybody but the party member I used as a patsy].)
1789: Meta-Gaming.
1789: attempting to use a bag of holding for anything other then item storage.

Re: Things I May No Longer Do While Playing II: Stop Making The DM Cry
1791. No, my bard with perform (sing) does not know either version of Kung Fu Fighting just because it's an eastern campaign.
1791a. Especially since it doesn't make sense for him to create Carl Douglas's version without bring a foreigner.
1791b. He can't be a foreigner.
-
Re: Things I May No Longer Do While Playing II: Stop Making The DM Cry
1791C it can be allowed under the following conditions.
1. The Entire party except for the Bard and My Monk are Down
2. The Bards player actually has a guitar in his hands states the quickened spells he cast on me (enlarge, bulls strength, and cats grace) then proceeds to actually at the table play the entire song while I beat the BBEG and his minions to a pulp. DM ruled a +2 to attack for me due to awesome.
-
Re: Things I May No Longer Do While Playing II: Stop Making The DM Cry
1792: Pyromania is a flaw, not an excuse.
-
Re: Things I May No Longer Do While Playing II: Stop Making The DM Cry
1793- When the DM makes a houserule that attacks from INSIDE a monster deal 2 x normal damage, I will accept it as his reward for one incident of lateral thinking, not an all-encompassing damage hack.
Nor is it an invitation for my dragonborn paladin to open-mouth kiss an entire tribe of lizard folk.
-
Re: Things I May No Longer Do While Playing II: Stop Making The DM Cry
1794-No letting newbies play my ridiculously homebrewed campaigns until they've had a normal one.
1795-My first time DMing was before I'd actually been able to finish a campaign due to DM absence issues. I shouldn't have done that.
1796-No playing epic games without an epic handbook.
1797-Stop complaining about getting to play gestalt.
1798-For the last gorram time, STOP SEDUCING EVERYONE. Especially if you plan to just leave them hanging.
1799-No more new world orders based on knowledge being used to keep the peace. They work too darn well.
